Allegedly, Eric Clapton was floored by Jimi Hendrix performing this tune in a trio format in Jimi's London days, because Clapton hadn't yet mastered it.
Hendrix may have seen Howlin Wolf & Hubert Sumlin playing it live.....I think he mentioned Sumlin's style in an interview
