Wayne. I thank God I found you. I have never worked for a towing company before, but know id be very good at it. I'm going to purchase my own rollback deck truck with a lift on the back to start as an independent recoverer & tower!!.. and just go right into the fire. I'm gonna get hands on experience with my own personal and friends vehicles at first, and go on from there! In the past I've always perfected things best that way, by just taking the horse by the reigns! But by watching and learning from you is like having a set of training wheels underneath me while learning how to ride a bike!.. I love this video because I feel you are teaching me with great detail to be just like one of your own employees as they are well explained here starting with the basics, ie: what the equipment is called and what it is used for. Rather than some other UA-camrs that just show you yanking a car up and down the deck! I'd like to handle customers cars (as if they were my own) with precision, accuracy and confidence, as many of today's cars are delicate, costly, and there are several techniques dealt with in different models to keep the accident free vehicles I'd be towing, damage free!.. You are a great teacher, as to why your Buisness has succeeded so well and thrived!.. So I am proud to call you my mentor!..and look forward to learning towing and recovery Techniques from you!!. I look forward and am excited to watching your other videos, and I'm sure there will be questions I have, that you can easily answer, with experience and great knowledge! Myself and alot of us new guys entering the industry are grateful and surprised you have time to do these lectures in parallel to running a successful hectic tow company buisness! Plus I can see your geniune to help someone by answering a personal msg if they have a question about the industry not covered in your videos.. Whereas some how-to videos on UA-cam are just about views and monetary value ,& unresponsive! Also many of us as viewers highly respect you for not being discouraged by any past, present, or future negatory comments from haters and no-it-alls that might do things a tad different in the industry working as only employees for other tow companies...Whats most important is the end result! Always keep in mind that they are upset about being scared to take the leap to be independant, and/or not working for an employer whom's fair like you mr.Smith!! Trust me..I know "first hand" and can safely assume this because I use to be one of them!!!! You know the old saying?? ""If you don't have any haters, you ain't doing something right"" Your friend and mentee Christopher 😃

The T-hook works great for machinery like skit steer loaders and tractors. They have inverted V-shaped sluts cut out in their frame and they are for T-hooks specifically. If you ever load a combine at the John Deere factory in East Moline, they won’t let you leave unless you have a 4 point securement with T-hooks.

Informative video but please new and experienced drivers keep a great eye on your straps not trying to knock the poster but the majority of his straps are torn and should be removed from service they are all in my opinion unsafe since they are starting to tear. Also please do not keep, the clamps of your jump box clamped to the handle the box is always live and if for some reason the clamps fall off they will possibly touch and that can be bad sparks lead to fire when the truck has all kinds of grease and oil stains. Use the cops provided for the clamps or even better use a box that has a on/off switch

Bobby Ratcliff Ive found them most useful on some of the older Chevy/Cadillacs from the 90's-early 2000's. Also better at distributing force across some of the flimser hook points in some newer cars. I haven't run into anything yet I wouldn't be able too with out, just another option

The average consumers vehicle may not be a BMWya or Mercedes..etc etc, but may be a nice vehicle to them would also appreciate if you use your noodle and use the pool noodle on the wire rope to protect their car from damage and the headache of a damage claim and their vehicle out of service and held up being in the body shop because you wouldn’t use a $1 pool noodle on all recoveries where the wire rope could possibly contact the cosmetics of the vehicle(s). Wouldn’t it make more sense to just use it no matter the brand or quality of the consumers vehicle?

I have never ever had to use a pool noddle on my cable, We have towed in some low vehicles and I've never even heard of using a pool noddle, We do however have strapped briddles that are great for cars where the bridle may rub, It really shouldn't if you have a good loading angel tho, And a lot of the low vehicles have tow hook inserts if you need to use winch them.
