I love how arrow head drops their updates like theyll wait for you to play the game and find the new enemies and you get surprised seeing a new enemy out of nowhere
almost like a real war where intel can be faulty and result in a lot of death.
"Wait, these aliens that are constantly evolving have developed counter tactics to our strategies and weapons and now we must adapt? THEY CAN DO THAT???"
It was so fucking hype seeing the flyers for the first time out of nowhere. Had me thinking "Holy shit they're evolving"

Shrieker breach call ins were hellish. You would try run from them and they would follow you across the map constantly calling in breaches. It was wild.
I swear my buff that decreases time between enemy encounters was doing the opposite yesterday

Autocannon is even better! two shots to (one of) the engine(s) will take them out. When we spot a tower, I play overwatch while my buddy plants the hellbomb
I love the new dominator, it can even one shot devastators if you can get a headshot, meaning now you only really have to worry about hulks and tanks.
Stun and 2 shots with the anti material rifle to the eye takes care of hulks. Orbital railcannon for the tanks. Easy peezy

It was always able to 1hko devastators even pre buff, due to the explosive weapon category doing full damage on weakspots.
It one shotted devastators before the buff too
Shame they removed the Slugger - More Arrowhead level balance
The best fix HAS to be host migration on host crash. That's amazing.

You can stagger EVERYTHING besidges Tanks and bile titans, that means, if there is hulk in you face, you can zap his nipples until he explode, no need for explosive staratagems and anti armor weapons.
I agree, anyone who normally ran Arc for crowd control should notice how nice the stagger is.
Stagger is nice but it’s a nerf and buff, yes stagger went up but fire rate and range both went down a significant amount (50% reduced fire rate and almost 50% reduced range )
@@justinmudford4629 So whats the issue then? The range nerf was needed because of its inconsistencies in long range. Although the weapon is now good for mid range, it helps prevent teamkill better. Plus the fire rate is why the support gem needed the nerf, it was a tool for everything and not a tool for certain situations, so it was necessary. Making you to fully commit charge the weapon is what gives the weapon drawbacks, while previously it had none, so now you have to commit your attacks and time your plan of attack.
I was wondering if the stagger changed. It felt stronger. Also I have less issue with missing enemies who are in melee with me. The range is definitely shorter but feels way more accurate. Still love my Arc.
@@westleyramirez3036 Not sure if it's a bug, but it takes more than 1s to charge. With the 30% range nerf it's almost impossible to hit a Shrieker on medium distance.
And there are still many instances where it shoots blank, paired with a nearly (+/-) 3s fire rate making it an unreliable support weapon for crowd control. I lost count of how many times I got screwed over by the nerf* with blank shots. I didn't mind if it got nerfed, but the current state of the weapon is ridiculous and unusable for me.
I nearly shit myself when I got swarmed by the dropships.
Tbh i like the new arc thrower because you can stun lock hulks, its WAY better against bots than bugs.

I've only just started using the slugger so wasn't spoiled by its power before.
The things absolutely slaps.
The ballistic shield is ALMOST viable. I have attempted it on about 6 missions using a different array of weapons all on difficulty 7.
I love how it feels now. I love the concept. I love how you can take puke or rockets to the face and withstand them. However, it breaks SO FAST... it needs a doubling or maybe even a tripling of its health pool then it would be really fun! As it stand right now, with a five minute call in timer, youre better with the personal shield generator because it comes back many many many times before you could ever call in a second ballistic shield and that makes all the difference. 😢
I'd say drop the cooldown to the same as the expendable AT and double it's HP. It won't be viable without at least that much.
I have experienced Blizzard on Vandalon IV. Its a good effect if you need to disengage but also can be dangerous as you can encounter enemies also slows you down significantly so it has downsides and upsides you need to consider.
Use the better footing booster
One of the Automatons worlds does actually have blizzards had it happen multiple missions last night
Nice, I need to try the dominator again I used it prepatch and couldn't quite make it work but maybe now with the automoton focus I can whip it back out. Been maining the Lib-pen for nearly everything. In other news that grenade pistol will finally solve my bug hole/Ton factory problem since I favor the stun grenade. Good times
Ballistic shield would be awesome if it worked like the riot shield in COD. Once you put it on your back and run, not much can harm you from behind. That would be awesome for stalker attacks while running away.

@vorteximg guessed wrong. I was mostly commenting on live service failing left and right or having an indy studio show up to big ones. Yes there's other Ws like BG3 recently. And no I don't play shooters much. I enjoy usually arpgs and been playing Last epoch which is great for me :)

No you don't. The game is best played in small doses. Anything more and you become irritated by the glaring bugs and constant crashing.
We've traded bile puke op damage for hulk flamethrower op damage. Atleast they dont have the same range as the puke.

See the dominator works really well if you're running the flamethrower. Which I do on bugs. Use the flame for the small stuff use the dominator for the larger stuff or the green spewers that have armor on their head on suicide Plus. Switch the sickle can't shoot through. So I was pretty stoked when I saw that buff

The game on PlayStation 5 is experiencing frequent crashes during the extraction phase. This issue occurs randomly at the end of a 40-minute level, resulting in the potential loss of rewards earned during the gameplay.
Yea, wasted my time 3 times due to this, I want to play but can’t justify that risk over and over right now 😫.
From what i noticed is that they made it so that the mission and all rewards that u got are still finished. Everytime i crashed at the end it still counted, so it doesnt rly feel like a big deal anymore.
I got 10+ games yesterday like that and just deleted the game until a new update...
it's draining to even put energy into something that just strips all my effort just for NOTHING
I felt so embarrassed yesterday that I was the last alive and everyone was cheering me on...
and it CRASHED!!! 😢

top it off, when it crashes and you were using screen record on PS5.. better say goodbye to those recordings because they are not even saved as soon as it crashes for some odd reason
Little info there, the gunship can be destroyed by primary weapon with the explosif trait (scorcher, plasma shotgun...) but it does not work with the dominator
Arc Thrower changes honestly aren't that bad. Consecutive shots feel shorter, and the stagger is pretty strong and can stagger heavies now. Slugger felt uncalled for. Otherwise, great changes all around. At least in the right direction, at most game-changing.
This is the first live service game I've ever played that feels like an actual living game. Don't get me wrong a lot of those other games where really good but this feels alive.

Liberator penetrator can now be changed to full auto fire mode which is nice as it's a primary weapon with medium armour penetration albeit with a small 30 round mag. But still one of my favourites 👍
Firetick damage always outpace the health regen regardless. If you tried to heal you would still die if your below half health. You have to dive to put out the fire then heal. If you do the opposite you'll still die usually. And yes that's before this update. As an avid flamethrower user I can attest to this and so can everyone I played with lol

We need more armours with new passives for sure. Like gas, fire resistances.
Dive as soon as you take fire damage. You wont die. As soon as you dive the flames go out.

6:52 Same, I always carry Breaker in bug missions so Hunters are just a QTE to me. Puke will wreck me often in those moments I'm reloading my autocannon or overwhelmed
I liked the idea of the dominator before and was able to successfully use it, but the increased stagger and damage have made the mechanics almost perfect. The biggest fixable problem with it is the misaligned sight which they could fix or just get rid of the dot and rely on the laser as that seems accurate (I'd rather they just fixed the sight). The problem I don't think they can fix is the fact that due to the bullet travel time it's very susceptible to poor network connections which make its range very nebulous.
Seen gunships plenty but still haven't seen the walker yet (playing on level 7 mostly, or higher)

I've only seen one, it was on Helldive and it came late during the mission during a swam of multiple bot drops

I think they fixed the fire damage towards players. When the patch first dropped it would always kill you but now i can stim right as i catch on fire and survive

I was really hoping for a liberator penatrator buff. Damage needs a little boost
It just requires the user to be accurate, I find me killing stuff in 2 to 3 headshots

At first i was like what a usless weapon because the mags were so small and i was expecting it to take down heavies with just one clip. But you definetly need to place the shots. Still i feel like it should lay down more damage on armored foes. The full auto is just going to encourage more players to spray and pray and that really doesnt work with the penatrator unless you want to go through 3 or 4 mags.

if you havent tried the ballistic shield with an smg i highly recommend everyone doing it vs the bots. it is so good.
I also noticed they changed the colour coding/shape of the warheads in the artillery. Probably some other undocumented changes.
The biggest change is less getting killed by that random rocket grunt. I dont use the shield backpack anymore, there are way better things to bring.
Honestly, try the bubble shield.

I survived a hulks fire damage twice yesterday some how as soon as I heard his flamethrower charge i dived it hit me but didn't instakill me, but if i was standing up it was an instantkill.
I love the terminid artillery,so much like starship troopers. Not many games have held my attention as long as this Gem has... pure gold.
I'd like to think every time there is a leak arrowhead just goes "fine put them in but don't warn them".

Big time loving the ballistic shield now that it's fixed.
The shield mixed with fortified armor against bots makes me feel like a juggernaut at times.
The warning was that this is the final push vs the automotons. We cant beat them yet, or the game would have no future, the enemy needs to be versatile and ready to combat our actions in order to give the game its story progression. Id say if anything, we should expect a leader unit to emerge soon and push towards cyberstan or to super earth
they fixed the infinite impact grenade bug, was fun while it lasted

An important thing to have mentioned is if you were 50 and kept playing all that exp was kept track of. After the patch I went to level 65.

it is not just 3 times over, the exp requirement per lvl goes from 8k to 12k... I was updated to 113, and even though i was away from the game for 2 days im only 118 now. 12k per lvl from 113 forward as i can attest requires at least some 7 helldive missions completed per lvl up.

I really love the updates and the content of each HD2 patch, but anyone is struggling with crash at the end of each mission with this latest patch?
Question. Why does the scorcher with light armor pen kill scout striders in a single shot head on and the dominator with medium penetration, can’t break through the armor at all no matter how many shots you fire?
Scorcher has explosive splash damage. The splash kills the pilot.
@@carlosmdc9069 that’s what I’m hearing but I don’t see anything in the weapon description that mentions this what so ever so where are people getting this from. I mean I’m happy to have an answer just wish I knew why I didn’t know 🤣
I think the developers should increase the spawn time of enemies. So that enemies come more slowly. But they should make the enemy base much larger and harder to destroy, and there should also be more enemies defending the base.
This is how a live service game should be.

@@thirtythirty9054 I wouldn’t say it’s broken now. At release it was. Buggy is more the word. But they have consistently been improving and adding content. That’s what I’m referring to.
I can confirm the ballistic shield works really well now face tanked a bunch of sword bots and mowed em down with my SMG, took zero damage 👍.. juuust dont get hit with rockets lol results are what youd imagine them.

I killed the giant automaton walker with an indirect orbital precision strike followed by a fairly direct 500kg. Idk if a direct hit from either would have been sufficient
I hit it with a direct precision strike and finished it with walking barrage. Didn't see how many hits the walking did because I was busy not being murdered.
Have people not realized diving stops the fire tick damage?
nobody is talking about the continued crashes since this patch was released.
For me it's actually crashing less than the previous patch. Less, not not at all, though.

The new enemy looks scary but I bet it will add even more to the challenge. I kinda felt like bots were missing massive enemies while bugs did had the titans so I'm happy with the change
What about the 2 tank Variants and the towers & bombard ?
@@derNeni I mean they were strong but not necessarily massive? This one on the other hand is just huge. Like tanks were deadly but way smaller than titans. Don't really count towers as enemies they were more of structures since they didn't move.
The fire doesn't outpace the stim, you just have to stim within 0.5 seconds of catching fire... But that is wearing medium armour. You light armour mains might have issues 😬
I’m still gonna strive to try and unlock the Scythe Mk2 (I’m a lvl 15 boi leave me alone all you hardcore helldivers, I’ll call it the Scythe Mk2 all I want) and the energy pistol. It would make me far less supply-reliant.
Get the sickle instead. Waaaay better

The counter sniper feels pretty good. One or two shots in the head on most of the big bots. Don't see a use for bugs tho. Still turns like the rifle weighs 100 pounds but I understand the balance.
Hell im at 230 hours and i still havent seen the command bunkers

I played 9s all day yesterday and still have yet to see a walker but the GUNSHIPS OHHHH THE FUCKING GUNSHIPS ARE EVERYWHERE
Shriekers shouldn't be able to hit u at all if u crawl this could make some fun situations if getting chased by bugs too trying to crawl away lol
That doesn't stop Eagles from grabbing snakes or anything else tiny on the ground.
Also I feel like that would completely get rid of the threat of the shriekers because everyone would just prone when they're around. That's just my opinion though

I mean when everything gets leaked I wouldn’t bother with a whole event drop either. Imagine all the suspense dying for a surprise party but you still try to throw it anyways.
