Actually this is genius. Gonna try this but with tang made from powder instead. I'm a poor cattle farmer in the midwest so I have lots of beef but not lots of $$ to spend on imported limes which don't grow here. The citric acid is really important for carne asada though, from a chemistry perspective. Luckily citric acid is cheaply found in sunny D and tang. I've seen sugar added to lots of carne asada recipes. There's plenty of sugar in sunny D. On paper this should work perfectly. Still you need cilantro though.

It's easier if you put all the stuff in the blender with the sunny delight. I also add garlic powder and Mexican Oregano ....if you don't like sunny delight you can squeeze oranges and/or lemons to create the marinade in the blender.
