I can testify that this Gentleman makes the best street tacos on the planet. I eat at his restaurant every Tuesday as does just about everyone from my work place. The food is great! But out of the countless times I've eaten here. This gentleman greets me to take my order and puts a smile on my face every time. Never a bad experience at the 143 Street Taco!!!
THIS STEAK MARINADE IS ABSOLUTELY PERFECT! Just cooked 5 pounds of this immaculate beef sent down by god himself and it was totally worth it! 10/10 would totally recommend!
When I was small Id always watch my grandpa sharpen his knives like that for like 45 minutes before hed use them. He had this grounding bowl he brought with him from mexico. Ive never tasted food like his since. Sometimes I can capture the smell though when making one of his recipes.
Made this recipe for my husbands birthday, it was delicious! He even thinks this is the best asada recipe he has ever tried, as I! Most definitely a keeper! Thank you so much for sharing and God bless! 💕
It's like this cause I bet their is no business at all , even by the sound by now you would of heard the cooks screaming and running around the kitchen even the expiditer would be screaming out for orders..... it's one of those. DEAD restaurant....
Wow, this is pretty much the exact same way I make my beef tacos! I never thought of adding the cilantro to the marinade but I will the next time for sure. If you want a real "street taco" with beef, I highly recommend this video and you will NOT be disappointed! Well done 'Sir!
I’ve been using this recipe, but slightly different for years now, and it is the best you can do! I have not tasted better. I use skirt steak. If I lived anywhere near this man’s restaurant, I would be a regular.
@@MDuzco44 AMAZING! I made somewhat authentic corn tortilla street tacos with the asada, cilantro, onion and salsa verde. I'm but a lot of my friends are mexican and they loved them! Also made copycat crunchwraps from tacobell but with the asada and super high quality ingredients for everything else. Total hit! We all got very drunk off modelos and played some drinking board games. Thanks for asking!
Señor, this is a MASTER CLASS! I will need to scale down the quantities, but I can’t wait to give your recipe a try! Will report back with results. ¡Muchas Gracias!
Maybe so. Some of the best Mexican food I have ever eaten was from places with low Health Department ratings. JS, it was the best and I then decided to stick with those type of places.
Cerveza..... Is the liquid bacon! goes good with everything! Good video and I did great with this Carne Asada recipe! Thanks again! My ninos loved them!
I tried to recreate this recipe and spotted some inconsistencies. The cumin cannot be 2 ounces because mine came out to be so much more at 2 ounces. Other spices weighed at 2 ounces looked to be too much also. Was the measurements just an educated guess?
Two questions: Will the lime slightly cook the meat over night, and would cutting the meat (long slices) against the grain be best? (vice chopping up into bite size pieces)
I have a meat slicer then I go ahead and slice up top round steak nice and thin with it which makes it so tender season it throw it on the flat top add some cheese peppers onions and mushrooms and I got a beautiful homemade steak and cheese:-)
I gotta substitute a mango for an orange but ill throw some orange zest in.....ill bet this will save my ass tonight since my husband told our neighbor we would cook tostadas for her tonight and im a gourmet chef! Lol. No high expectations there right? I already know this marinade will be fantastic
I know this comment is a year old. But using both is a common technique to really bring the garlic flavor out, as the powder blends and rubs into the meat better and coats it better, while minced garlic acts more as a subtle flavoring agent for the rest of the marinade.
Man the positive vibes coming off this guy.... You can tell he loves his job....

Have to take in account that this marinade recipe was for almost 7 pounds of meat. There would have to be some modification for less amounts.
Great video! Please list all the ingredients. Thanks in advance! Beat regards, from Laredo, Texas Amigos!!

Question You said Cilantro / Onion but I never saw a measurement for onions or how much?
Wonderful job
Terrific video! Gonna use your recipe for a party tonight!
Looks 100% good
solid recipe, if anyone can suggest better I'm all ears.
Um why does he need garlic salt when he has salt pepper and minced garlic?
@Randy Resler the problem isn't the quantity of garlic you idiot
A couple tablespoons of brown sugar in marinade.
Chad Sheridan and now it’s perfect 👌
