Here's another Gobots fact. The majority of items in the Gobots line were taken from Bandai's Machine Robo series, but Tonka designed a few pieces themselves to complement the line. Some of these were Thruster, Zod, Scales, and the Guardian Command Center. I've always thought the quality of the Tonka items was a bit lower than the Machine Robo ones, but I'm still a big fan of them.
Yeah. All the majorily weird stuff was created by Tonka. Also the Rocklords were originally a part of the Machine Robo line and not distributed as tgwir own line like they were in the US.
Whoa! You taught me something I had NO idea about! I never had this one as a kid, so my interactions with it are strictly based off my own observations without any form of instructions. Now it makes sense why the elevator drops all the way down and such! I will do an update on this maybe next week and review the gobots command center! Thanks!!
Thanks for the video. I remember having this toy as a kid despite remembering nothing about the show. Had to stop the video half way though. You talk about the wings needed for the ramp and the elevator going to the bottom but nothing there. Are you sure you aren't missing something? On my one (uk), the legs can be pushed downwards. This means the arms are free to move. It means the ramp can reach the ground without the whole thing tipping over. It also means the elevator goes to the bottom
I had the gobot command center which was awesome but my brother got the thruster renegade headquarters. The best thing about the thruster headquarters was it’s fantastic sensor alarm. Me and my brother would put it out in the hallway at bedtime and if my dad was coming to see if we were asleep or still staying up reading or playing with our toys. The thruster headquarters would go off as soon as my father walked by us and we would pretend to sleep
i wonder if down the road reprolables will make gobot stickers, or if there is already a company that makes them. just found our my gobot i got for xmas years ago is missing one of the two stickers. he actually stayed with me even when i traded my original g1 tf collection for legos, which were givin away
The front door didn't sit right because the legs extend!! :o) I've been trying to remember what this was called for years, only found it again today lol
I took the motion sensor out of mine and set it up by my bedroom door so my parents couldn’t sneak in. Totally ruined the toy but still have my box in near mint :)
HE-MAN owners Hasbro purchased the Rulers of the Sun toyline and added them to their line up I think its time for Hasbro to add the GO-BOTS to the TRANSFORMERS Toyline.
I don't know why, but every Gobot product looks like it was made in such a hurry, there is always something missing in every toy, in my opinion they were not a fun toy to play with, not even interesting . no wonder why Transformers had this big succes, there was simply no match.....

Interesting fact! I didn't know that! Keep the facts coming!

Those were the days and those were the bots
I always felt they cheaped out a bit on the Renegade spaceship, especially when you compare it to the excellent Guardian's command center.
sweet memories i got with this toy . i wanna bring back in the timE
I love old toys

Ha! That sounds like an amazing childhood memory!!

+RetroGamerVX Thanks! I think someone else in the comments mentioned it before, but it's worth being reminded! :)
+T2rx6 welcome :)
I was just about to type the very same thing lol
Yes, i thought the legs extended. What a bad review 😜
The legs pull down genius
Your Cy-Kill looks good. Mine has paint chipping off of his arms.
MrColuber thanks! Time will do that to these old toys!
You make me jealous. Didn't own any of this as a kid. I only had a gobot book.
I used to have the other command center, and Super Leader-1 and Cy-kill. Wish I kept the Super GB's.
Cool stuff.
Peace, Jay
Thanks gor the great video !!
The wings might not stay in position because they are on the wrong sides (reversed).
Thanks I will have to check it out!
@HotChixCoolToyReview Yeah it's surprising how well the super gobots have held up!
Cool ship. Still prefer TF though.
The fiction behind Transformers will always place it above gobots! :)
Though I am still planning to pick up 3rd party Tank, Leader 1 & Screwhead figures.
I took the motion sensor out of mine and set it up by my bedroom door so my parents couldn’t sneak in. Totally ruined the toy but still have my box in near mint :)
Ha that's a sneaky use for the toy! :)
This is a classic, this could work well with modern transformer decepticons
I used this as a bedtime protector when I was a youngin’. I couldn’t deal with nightlights.
That's pretty awesome!

Hasbro does own gobots but I think licensing is tough with machine robo being where gobots came from.
Your voice sounds similar to a young Daniel Johnston
Good lord I had this
What sets transformers apart from this is they have cities that can transform into robots

DUDE. NEVER Donate to Goodwill. Goodwill is a for profit business. They don't help poor people. Its pure resale.

Well, in my opinion the toys are fun to play with if you're bored.
Thanks gor the great video !!
