Hi, How often should we shower just to add moisture to our skin? Also how often should someone with eczema use soap on skin? I only take a shower once a week where I wash with soap all over. I wash my private area, underarms and my hands everyday. I know that some people with eczema never use soap so not to disrupt their skin microbiome. Thanks
I use them maybe once per month to exfoliate. I have mild eczema, but have found when I get a flare up that exfoliating with a scrub and then using a thinner unscented lotion 3 times per day for about a week or two and then switching to one of the eczema creams by eucerin or cerave makes it almost disappear. For me frequent exfoliation makes my eczema worse.
5:55 Many of these ingredients are natural and perfectly in place for a soap. The only things that aren't in this list are: anything with isethionate, betaine, etidronate, EDTA. I believe especially the isethionates are the problem, as they contain sulfur (anything with "sulfate" or "-thio-" in its name contains sulfur. Normal soap does not contain sulfur). I suspect that harmful bacteria on the skin multiply as a result of having sweet sweet sulfur to feed on.
I disagree, I have to lather everywhere when I shower. If I go to a public bathroom and wash my hands, I throw water on my arms and can feel the film on my arm(during summer). Unfortunately, that’s where my annual (heat)rash settles on my forearm…
@@DrSarahWrightOmg.....I LOVE this soap but family doesn't 😂. But Pine Tar has changed my skin around. I had eczema badly since a kid and when I was in my 30s I got hip to Pine Tar in between Victoria Secret's washes (smelled good but bad for my skin). Decided to stick with tar soap ever since. I also occassionally will throw in frankincense soap from Whole Foods to take a break from the tar smell with family, lol! The frankincense soap is nice to me as well. I was using black soap that comes in chunks but it was a bit too drying.

Which is the best body wash for eczema skin.
Quick question. If you have mild eczema, is it okay to use body scrubs? Such as Ósea salts of the earth body scrub?

Dr.Sarah I have tried everything under the sun eczema clears and comes back again, can I try colloidal silver?
It can also be your diet and what you consume you’ll be surprised what your allergic to, plus the ingredients they put in our products are very harsh
@@benjaminmercy1071yes I agree! She may need to flush her gut
I just saw a derm yesterday and she recommended Avene trixera soap, clobetasol and prednisone. Prescription is needed except for the soap
