I smiled wide when you said, “You guys didn’t think I was just going to name my 5 favorite body washes without giving you facts!!” Love you Dr. Dray! You have changed my skins life since I started watching a long time ago! Thank you for all that you do, it means a lot!
I use the Panoxyl 10% on my armpits before I shower. Let it sit while I clean my face and teeth. Eliminates my armpit odor completely. For some odd reason the 4% was irritating to me.
Also can I just say I appreciate SO MUCH that you try and include products for your audience outside of the US, that’s so incredibly thoughtful of you (and helpful!) 😊
I love that you give us 5. Five is not overwhelming. I can pick one from 5, unlike when I watch another UA-camr that gives me 20 options and she likes all 20. 😐
Hey dr dray! So I was wondering a bit about my situation.. you see, I’m a competitive swimmer and I’m in the pool every single day, with HEAVY chlorinated pools. Should I take a shower after every time I swim? And should I use a body wash all over my body to wash the chemicals off? Also! Video idea: it would be awesome if you did a video for swimmers, or just what to do after swimming in general! :) thank you so much!
What I do is a little different. I’ve been using a bar soap because I’m trying to reduce my plastic usage. But these videos have also showed me that I dont need to use soap from head to toe everyday. What I do is shred part of my bar soap into a mason jar, fill it with water, shake and let it dissolve for a day. Then I use that to refill my foaming soap dispenser. I bring this bathroom sink foam dispenser in and out the shower with me. I just use my hands so I don’t need a large bottle. Currently I’m trying African Black soap. But after it’s done I’m going back to my Vanicream bar soap 💕it’s amazing from head to toe
I feel like every time I watch one of your videos, I should be sending you a copay! You are so well educated, it is a blessing for us to have you share your knowledge! Thank you again for an informative video!
Hi guys! As an athlete whose struggled with eczema most of my life, I can say panoxyl works just as Dr. Dray described. Highly recommend. Thank you Dr. Dray for your on going videos, always enlightening & fun. Stay well. 😁
Let's not forget that if you shower versus wash at the sink (which due to my disability happens in my case), that water is constantly running over your body, that in itself "cleanses" as well. So I think there is a difference between having running water over the body, and "not washing" those areas (sink) at all. On my legs (nerve pain) I use the Tena 3-in-1 wash cream between washing the limbs once a week with soap, which is a cream you use on the body that "washes" and lotions in one go.
BTW: A great reference source is to bookmark the link (to your phone) for the "Paula's Choice Ingredients Dictionary". They list hundreds of commonly used cosmetics ingredients (not just the ones they use) along with ratings for poor/ good/ better/ best and a brief description of what it is and is used for. Wonderful starting point for info when in the store reading labels with terms we aren't familiar with.
I like when u "blab" before u go into the video cuz its informative and helps me understand the knowledge behind your choices or its helps me make the right choices.
I have never been the type of person to use a lot of body wash or soap on my body, even before Dr. Dray's advice made me feel like I'm not a weirdo in this. I've only ever used the fragrance-free Dove soap bar in my armpits, groins, and under my breasts. I also use the Neutrogena salicylic acid body wash on my upper back and shoulders. I leave it on for 30 seconds to a minute since I am prone to random breakouts on my upper back. I've just always done this since I was a teenager. I've never been interested in the super fragrance-y body washes or even shampoos. I've always had to use the Neutrogena T-Sal shampoo for my scalp psoriasis and it's obviously not a glitzy product. I also use the Free & Clear conditioner. The Vanicream bar soap is a little pricey but it's awesome. Doesn't strip your skin at all. I've used it on my face too and it was moisturizing. I've always associated fragrance with breaking out too. I don't know why but whenever I smell something and it has a fruity or vanilla-y scent I just always think it's going to give me breakouts.
Mon Mac i see a dermatologist every six months. He never has time to discuss anything with me in depth, he just says “Use gentle products, avoid fragrance. Come back in six months.” Dr. Dray’s channel has been SO helpful to me and has helped me avoid products that would irritate my skin and steered me to products that are helpful. She has saved me a lot of money I would have wasted experimenting. She is a godsend for those of us who have sensitive skin.
I learned my lesson recently when I gave into temptation and bought a cheap Dial body wash- some kind of. teal colored "sea mineral thing" that appealed to my inner mermaid. I had a severe allergic skin reaction to it that looked like a bad sunburn, particularly on my armpits, on and around breasts and inner thighs. Had to take Benadryl to get rid of it. Never again will I buy anything like that- no matter how pretty, great smelling and cute it is!
I'm not a huge sweaty person and never really get dirty, so when l shower l just wash down my body with the shampoo that's running down from my head. Once I'm finished, out l go with my tub of CeraVe cream waiting for me and apply from head to toe. My skin is soft and comfortable! Good topic! Happy Tuesday 😊🍁
I’m an over - bather, but I’ve found using gentler products to be helpful in keeping dry skin away. I do the Cerave in the jar or vans cream after the shower. I use the cerave bar or dive sensitive skin,
Dr Dray, what if you have been wearing sunscreen on your limbs? I’m guessing you need a surfactant to remove it because of the water resistant properties of the sunscreen?
I ran out of my cetaphil face wash and started using this Japanese face wash by the brand "soymilk". It was so drying, even on my hands! After realizing it's actually more drying than my dove beauty bar, I started using dove on my face. So far no complaints!
I truly appreciate the time you take to explain the products you recommend. I have very dry skin, and I have learned so much from your videos. I have thrown away all products with fragrance in them. The moisturizers you’ve recommended have worked so well for me. Thank you for continuing to educate all of us on good skincare! 😊
Before I had my daughter, I used to diligently use liquid body washes. When I was pregnant I started using bar soaps where needed and let it rinse off the rest of my body. I use much less product that way and it's far cheaper!
I’ve been wanting to try the Cerave bar so thank you for the recommendation! I currently use Cerave’s body wash but don’t like the packaging...too small, no pump, and hard to get all of the product out. Have a great day!
I suffer from dry girly parts with most washes and bar soap causing burning. My favorite is the cereve bar soap. This does not bother me! Sulphate free
Hannah Menga you should definitely put soap on the labia but on the inside (the actual vagina), you dont need much at all. Just water to cleanse the vaginal hole.
I used loofa and scrub all over my body everyday but even so I often find some spots accumulating dead skin that darken the area. If I were to stop using loofa how can I cleanse these area better?
Major tip: I use a nylon bath towel. It is machine washable, I put mine in my lingerie bag so it doesn't get snagged on anything else in the washer, but do air dry it, and it gives me a little bit of physical exfoliation when I want it. One of my most favorite finds over the last few years.
I actually use Cerave foaming facial cleanser fragrance free as my body wash. You do not need a lot of the product because like you've stated before it foams nicely. Great video and your hair and band look really nice :)
Thank you so much I had no idea I was using the Panoxyl wash completely wrong! I got recommended by my dermatologist for body acne but they gave me no info how to apply and now I realize I was using WAY too much and for not enough time. I was wondering how I went through the bottle so fast gonna save some money now lol
11:36 "You don't want to put this head to toe all over your body...you know...be lathering around in there with that DISGUSTING loofah." Omg I spat my coffee xD
@Pixie Lady if you want to try something more exfoliating than a regular washcloth but not gross like a loofah you should try a Japanese style washcloth. They come in varying degrees of roughness and are easily cleaned. They are made of man-made, non-recyclable materials, but one lasts a long time. Not for everyday, but they're good for occasional exfoliation. I doubt Dr. Dray would approve, though.
@@mariumriaz5 I bought the big package of yellow microfiber towels at Costco. I cut them in fourths and they don't ravel. I hang them to dry then launder them together in a net bag.
I don’t get acne on the body but I do have hyperhydrosis so I like to use soap. I normally use the fragrance free sensitive dove bar but I have been looking to switch. I might give one of these a try.
I bought the Ceramedx after watching this video back in February. I cannot say enough about this product! It had cleared and in going contact dermatitis issue on my face. It seemed like every thing I had tried, my face had never fully healed. I even went to a dermatologist. Within a couple of days my redness was gone! After a month, my skin was starting to tolerate things better. My skin barrier has fully healed and is able to tolerate my mineral sunscreen (vanicream spf 35). Yay! Thank you for this!
I found it really interesting that you said that people over 45 don’t need to wash their arms and legs. My father has very thick scaly skin from washing in a very limited way. It seems like the skin needs to at least have a gentle exfoliation from washing occasionally. Maybe I misunderstood? But I get it the obsession with soap and scrubbing every day is not good for skin at all!
Hey Dr. Dray, is it okay to use the Cerave or Dove bar soap you talked about on Your face as a cleanser? My husband and I have been using the dove for years and have no issues but just curious if you would recommend or discourage this?
I was wondering the same thing! I hunted for the info throughout her videos and found out the answer is yes (at least for Cerave one). She mentioned it at the end of her Top Ten best Cerave products video.
Dr Dray please ALWAYS continue to "blab for at least 20 minutes about the nuaces of" EVERYTHING....It's this "blab" that makes you such a reliable and resourceful expert on youtube. Thank you for helping to fully change and develop my skincare routine.
I developed allergic contact dermatitis to fragrance, balsam of peru, and formaldehyde! I used all kinds of fragrance laden products, which caused this horrible allergy. Now I love vanicream cleansing bar, it's the only soap I use.
Life changing advice for use of Benzoyl peroxide for underarms. I managed to find 'Acneside gel wash' in the UK (Boots pharmacy counter). I leave it on for a few minutes whilst in the shower. After a few days, I no longer need deodorant. Fantastic.
I have a friend who suffers with eczema on her body and hands, and she swears by feminine washes. Yes, those. She said that since she started using it to wash her hands and parts of her body she's had a huge decrease in her eczema. It's something to do with the gentle ingredients and the ph level.
Liquid is also less likely to have bacteria and fungal overgrowth by the virtue of how bar soaps are stored in damp bathrooms and often in a small pool of water left over.
I really love leaving PanOxyl on my face in the shower while I shave (5-7 minutes)! ❤️ I will try using them on my armpits next time, never thought of that :)
Can you do a video comparing panoxyl to lume? I know they have very obvious differences in how they work. But I have been seeing tons of Lume commercials and I’m curious to know your thoughts about that product.
I use ivory fragrance free bar soap. It does not leave my skin feeling dry. My mom used it and I use it to remember her. Thanks for the content Dr Dray.
I love using the loofah cloth, it’s loofah material, looks like a large washcloth, not bunched up like those other ones. I rinse it and air dry it, what do you think of this, still a bacteria magnet? Thanks 😊
I looked into this Dove Sensitive soap (also the version called 'Pure & Sensitive', which is the one sold in Europe), but in some regions it seems to have Sodium Palmitate as the third ingredient. I won't share links because pretty sure UA-cam would think I'm spamming, but you should always check the ingredients to make sure it's the right version.
Hi Dr. Dray! I have an pineapple enzyme body wash that I like using on my face. Is it ok to use body wash on the face? What is the difference between body wash and face wash?
I so appreciate all your knowledge Dr. Dray. I like your empirical data as well to back up your product information. I watch you every day when I get home from work. I'm an RN. Again, thank you!!
i use Cerave foaming facial wash on my hair face and body, i bought the 2 x 19 oz value size from Amazon. It works well as a deep clean shampoo, follow up with a conditioner. As a body wash, its cleans effectively without making me itch. i cannot use any of the body wash available at the drugstore and I can't tolerate fragrance.
Would you ever consider making a whole video regarding body acne? I have chest and back acne and would LOVE your take on any soaps, toners, moisturizers, etc. I’m currently trying the Paula’s Choice body spray with salicylic acid! I definitely want to look into that Panoxyl soap as well. P.S. I noticed on amazon that reviews for Panoxyl say there was a formula change. What’s your opinion?
"You didn't think I was just gonna jump on this video and name my top five favourite body washes and not give you guys any context? Oh no you know thats not my style I've gotta blab for at least 20 minutes about the nuances of bathing". Exactly why I subscribed Dr Dray 😂
What would you recommend for a man that shaves his head. Should I use regular shampoo or something else on my head? Also what is the best moisturizer for a mans shaved head?
Personally, as someone who isn't sensitive to fragrance, I like Yardley oatmeal and almond soap, Dermis8, ShaeMoisture (multiple soaps), Dial Basics, & Kirk's Castile soap.
I ❤️ Panoxyl!!! I don’t have acne but I do have mature skin. It makes my face feel squeaky clean without drying it out. I follow up with Cereva moisturizes of course! All compliments of Dr. Dray 👍🏽🙏😁. I gave my entire family Panoxyl for Christmas!!!
Loving the Eucerin baby wash and shampoo linked above esp. for body - effective, SUPER affordable, and gentle on my sensitive skin. Thanks for the rec, Dr. Dray!
Hello, what do you think of the Necessaire body exfoliator, wash, serum, and lotion? I have it and I absolutely love the wash and exfoliator. The serum and lotion are just so-so to me as a woman of color. I feel we usually need a bit more moisture/sealing than the serum/lotion provide. I think you'd be pretty happy with the ingredients and would love a review!
@LS kinda...Bacteria is a living thing. And requires moisture. Virus are not organisms. They are a code. And even they 'die' after some. Then again- bacteria can also be 'inactive' just like seeds are kinda like living things but not- but will come to life with nutrition.. so I guess you're right. I just thought of example- if some astronaut was able to take of glove and maintain a seal- and did.. and touched something bare handed, then it's probably over. Even if environment appeared dry and safe. Probably became host to many unknown, new pandemic level virus and bacteria that we couldnt imagine on earth.
I have started using the Eucerin Skin Repairing body wash for very dry skin. It has been a game changer for me. There is no soap in it, it’s fragrance free. It makes my skin feel so good. As a bonus it doesn’t leave a soap scum in my shower. Afterward I apply CeraVe cream. My skin has never looked or felt better.
J T it’s called Eucerin Complete Repair Cleanser for Body. It’s for very dry skin. I am in Canada, so I am not sure if it is available everywhere. I think it is new. I love it so much.
Thanks for the Panoxyl tip! As someone who CrossFits and has struggled with occasional staph infections on my arms and legs, I’ve often wondered if there was a connection. I’m going to give Panoxyl a try.
The dove fragrance free is a good face wash as well. I tried the cereve as it was on sale at Costco, and it was Rubbish. It left me feeling scummy and dirty and irritated the heck out of my skin.
How do you feel about the Aveeno Skin Relief Body Wash? I like that there’s no fragrance, but I think that might be the only redeeming quality- no ceramides etc.
I smiled wide when you said, “You guys didn’t think I was just going to name my 5 favorite body washes without giving you facts!!” Love you Dr. Dray!

I was wondering the same thing! I hunted for the info throughout her videos and found out the answer is yes (at least for Cerave one). She mentioned it at the end of her Top Ten best Cerave products video.
I wanna hear your experience in Med School! Love your content💓
The dove fragrance free bar was very drying for me.
The aveeno fragrance free body wash is also very drying.
I am not a fan of body wash or soap that is hard to wash away. What are your thoughts on body wash or soap that is on the foam dispensers?
The only Doctor I need is Doctor Dray!
Life changing advice for use of Benzoyl peroxide for underarms. I managed to find 'Acneside gel wash' in the UK (Boots pharmacy counter). I leave it on for a few minutes whilst in the shower. After a few days, I no longer need deodorant. Fantastic.
"Nuthin but a Clean Thang" is my favorite Dr Dray song.
Mad Simple 🤣🤣
Mad Simple sksksksksk 😂
Mine is "don't want no scrub"... LoL
😂🤣😂 That’s a good one!
Yanita what skin type are you? Do you have a oily tzone ??
Dessy Tricia Yeah, I have very oily skin!
How did it go?
Can you do a video comparing panoxyl to lume? I know they have very obvious differences in how they work. But I have been seeing tons of Lume commercials and I’m curious to know your thoughts about that product.
I use ivory fragrance free bar soap. It does not leave my skin feeling dry. My mom used it and I use it to remember her. Thanks for the content Dr Dray.
@@vickihall5725 I am going now to look at the label.
My girl Dray gonna be hitting 1 million subs soon !! !
I love using the loofah cloth, it’s loofah material, looks like a large washcloth, not bunched up like those other ones. I rinse it and air dry it, what do you think of this, still a bacteria magnet?
Thanks 😊
I'm curious too, I love that washcloth
Do the ceramides have enough time to penetrate into your skin when using a rinsing off product? I guess it's only marketing and label appeal.
Galaxia It's iffy 🤷♀️
Hello what's good for sensitive skin panoxyl or diffren facial wash please answer question thankyou
What are your thoughts on the Aveeno skin relief body wash that soothes itchy dry skin and is fragrance free. Thank you.
No chance Dr. Dray would just name 5 soaps! That’s what I love!
i use Cerave foaming facial wash on my hair face and body, i bought the 2 x 19 oz value size from Amazon.
Sabrina Dawson I have a video on body acne
"You didn't think I was just gonna jump on this video and name my top five favourite body washes and not give you guys any context? Oh no you know thats not my style I've gotta blab for at least 20 minutes about the nuances of bathing". Exactly why I subscribed Dr Dray 😂
I have been using simple olive soap for years, it works very well for me.
Hello Dr. Dray, my question is can I use Ceramedx or the Cerave soap to clean my armpits and private areas in the shower?
I also wanted to know if I can use the ceramedx on my armpits before the panoxyl mask. Hopefully she’ll answer!!
What would you recommend for a man that shaves his head. Should I use regular shampoo or something else on my head? Also what is the best moisturizer for a mans shaved head?
How do you feel about cetaphil gentle cleansing bar? Is it ok to use on the face and body
How often do you need to used the Panoxyl? EVERYDAY?
Personally, as someone who isn't sensitive to fragrance, I like Yardley oatmeal and almond soap, Dermis8, ShaeMoisture (multiple soaps), Dial Basics, & Kirk's Castile soap.
What is the difference between Vanicream Body wash and the VaniCream Face Wash?
I ❤️ Panoxyl!!! I don’t have acne but I do have mature skin. It makes my face feel squeaky clean without drying it out. I follow up with Cereva moisturizes of course! All compliments of Dr. Dray 👍🏽🙏😁. I gave my entire family Panoxyl for Christmas!!!
Dr Dray, I which soaps are good (fragrance free)
Loving the Eucerin baby wash and shampoo linked above esp. for body - effective, SUPER affordable, and gentle on my sensitive skin. Thanks for the rec, Dr. Dray!
Which body wash is best for body acne?
Hello Dr. Dray are these washes good for young children 3 years of age?
Before I buy anything skin care related, I check with Dr. Dray. Then I buy according to her recommendations. I’m indebted to Dr. Dray.
Top 5 Shaving Creams or Lotions?
Hello, what do you think of the Necessaire body exfoliator, wash, serum, and lotion? I have it and I absolutely love the wash and exfoliator. The serum and lotion are just so-so to me as a woman of color. I feel we usually need a bit more moisture/sealing than the serum/lotion provide. I think you'd be pretty happy with the ingredients and would love a review!
"bacterial petri dish aka loofa" lol
Maureen Moran loofahs are gross... she’s right lmao🤮😂
Exactly!
It dries out..
Hi Dr. Dray, how often can we use the Panoxyl Body wash treatment you discussed in this video?
I have started using the Eucerin Skin Repairing body wash for very dry skin. It has been a game changer for me. There is no soap in it, it’s fragrance free. It makes my skin feel so good. As a bonus it doesn’t leave a soap scum in my shower. Afterward I apply CeraVe cream. My skin has never looked or felt better.
Joann M: Do you mean Eucerin Skin Calming Body Wash? I ❤️ that one. I couldn’t find a product called “Eucerin Skin Repairing body wash” with Google.
J T it’s called Eucerin Complete Repair Cleanser for Body. It’s for very dry skin. I am in Canada, so I am not sure if it is available everywhere. I think it is new. I love it so much.
Hi Dr. Dray, any recommendations for brightening/whitening body wash? Thank you ❤️
Thanks for the Panoxyl tip!
I use that too. What do you think Dr Dray ?
PanOxyl is amazing. It’s really been helpful with managing my acne.
@ Dr Dray whats you think you Dial Spring water. Bottle says its “Skin smart” free from parabens phthalates and silicones
Have to ask, which wash should women use for our vagina? You mentioned Panoxyl in the groin area, but does that include the labia area, too?
