C'est la version originale de la chanson Li Beyrouth enregistrée dans les studios de la Radio du Liban en 1976, Chanson reprise par la chanteuse Libanaise Fayrouz en 1983.
Cette chanson, qui est devenu par la suite un des plus grands sucées de la chanteuse Libanaise Fayrouz, reflète la tristesse et le désespoir qui régnait sur la ville de Beyrouth en 1976, durant la guerre civile.
Une chanson encrée dans la mémoire collective du peuple libanais depuis et qui résonne dans l'esprit de chaque libanaise et libanais de toutes les générations.

Dear Oussama. I hope you get my message. I played with you the bongos back in the 70s before I left for the states. I used to come with my friend Adib Chana’s who played the guitar. I played with you at a concert in the Arabic University. I just ran into this song so I thought to write you.
