Cette chanson, qui est devenu par la suite un des plus grands sucées de la chanteuse Libanaise Fayrouz, reflète la tristesse et le désespoir qui régnait sur la ville de Beyrouth en 1976, durant la guerre civile.

I really like this song. After listening to various versions, I can deeply feel how sad the people of Beirut are for this once splendid city suffering so many disasters. But in this version of the lyrics, I don't quite understand the symbolism of some poems or cultural allusions. For exemple "Ma bannière, la pierre de demain et les vagues de mon voyage".
