For functionality or a strict budget, you don't need to do all this to cool your LS squarebody, especially if you're using adjustable slider engine brackets that give you some adjustment when setting your LS driveline to have the stock LS truck clutch fan fit perfectly with the stock squarebody radiator and shroud. Using the original squarebody radiator hoses you just cut a few inches off and you're good to go. LS engines run much cooler than any other engine ever used in a squarebody so you don't need a heavy duty or aftermarket radiator. I'm still running the OEM style 3 row radiator in my '76 2wd Blazer with LM7 swapped in. Test driven in Phx 115+ degree weather and driven across the country in the middle of the summer, never went above 208 degrees even floored up hill in AZ desert.
The work you guys are doing in these build series is totally rad! Inspiring me to dig my crusty 86 K20 out of the dirt. Been in the family since new but parked when the single bench seat wasn’t enough for baby seats.

Love how the build is going, specially the support you guys give each other💪🏼 can’t wait to gather around some of my cousins and work on my k5 jimmy and maybe possibly record some of it🤔 overall really loving the #Ubtk5. I was wondering if you’re just leaving the dash speakers and kick panel speakers? That’s been on my mind for my k5 and seeing that just makes me think that’s the way to go💪🏼
Hey, man! I'm really excited about the sound set-up but it needs more than just the dash and kick speakers. We'll be running the 6x9s in the rear and maybe even a small sub.
Thanks, Brice! Just a crew of guys trying to make it happen. I'm sure we'll do a video on this soon, but we actually ran Mishimoto Temp coupler that goes in the upper radiator hose, has the correct sized barb fitting and you run the hose from it to the head. Video will prob explain better. This is the Mishimoto temp coupler/adapter: amzn.to/33KgXFl barb fitting: amzn.to/2UiLPcW
Do the spal fans work with the AC in idle? Im trying to find good electric fans but keep hearing that I have to get good fans if I want to run ac. Especially if I want them the ac to blow cold in idle.
Why not get a radiator with both the inlet and outlet on the passenger side, like all OEM vehicles that came with LS engines? Seems so much easier than running that hose all the way across the engine. 🧐
I saw you used the base color (automotivetouchup.com) for the fire wall touchup, but did you also use the clear coat for any more protection? If not whats the finish like? Looking to clean mine up while the engine is out. I still have not been able to cross paths with you yet to see it in person.
Because we get a ton of comments across almost 200 videos. Part numbers are in the video description on all technical videos. Please take a look there. Thanks for watching!

Wasn't gonna take my core support off my 84 C10 but I will now! That looks really good for a rattle cans paint job! Nice cooling setup for sure!
Go for it! It makes a difference for sure.
Awesome group of guys, and an awesome ride.

I'm doing the same swap in a 1980 c10! What trans cooler are you running? I wanna just set it up the same way.
I'll add it to the parts description. It's a Tru Cool 40k. We run them on our ls swap trucks and they're easy to tuck away.amzn.to/2JcQuXb

Cost.
The ls trucks have the inlet on the drivers side and the outlet on the passenger
What rattle cans did you use for the core support?

Didn't use any clear and it's holding up fine. No inner fenders doesn't help, but it was just a temporary solution anyway.
@@UNITEDBYTRUCKS wrong video, but thanks again man
What relay kit u used
My neighbor has a 4x4 K5, can those be lowered or would I be better off getting a 2 wheel drive?

those front speakers wont fit like that without cutting the dash pad. Mount them from under if you can....
They fit pretty well right now. I'll have to double check them to make sure.
