I actually want to use a mechanical fan when I LS swap my 82. I want make the ls look like the stock sbc that it was born with. I assumed I wouldn't be able to, but this gives me hope!
I bet you had an air bubble in your cooling system. I had to fill the system in a build I did through the upper radiator hose. I just took the upper radiator hose off the radiator and filled it till it started coming out the upper hole in the radiator. Also on the fittings in the radiator did you use antiseaze?

Snap-on Vacuum Cooling System Filler SVTSRAD272A. Fills the cooling system PERFECTLY every time.
Next time use some weld wire works great to for finding out what radiator hoses you need

Where can I buy those radiator brackets?
I went with a champion radiator that has tig weld inlet and outlet
Sounds nice!
Well actually you should've taken the top hose off the radiator and filled the block first then filled the radiator on ls engines
Electric fans bruh!!! 😂
so just out of curiosity why did you chose to go mechanical fan vs electric. I have been considering doing an electric fan conversion myself
1. Reliability 2. Effectiveness
What kind of shroud did you use?
Stock
@@GreaseMonkeyTV awesome, thank you
Why you didn’t went with the electric fan ? Clutch fan robs horsepower and gas mileage thats why the last Ls engine didn’t came with clutch fans
