Was your windows just cause the power windows fuse ?
@@b-bitter91 Fuse literally fell out in the floor and was under the floor mat. How this happened? Who knows. But it did. Popped it back in, and the windows immediately worked.
Appreciate it, I didn’t have the owners manual to check myself, just searched on yt clicked on the first one (yours) went and replaced all fuses. 03 gt sat for 5 years no start since, had it start up first crank.

I think you saved me ❤I have a "flash code" from THEFT light on dash... 1 long.... 6 short (repeat). Research tells me this is a blown PCM fuse and your video told me where it is. Sure enough... it is blown. Not yet sure if there is another issue that caused it to blow, but the aftermarket alarm sounded and then pulled the battery... later would crank but no start. Anyway, will swap with headlight fuse tomorrow and do some testing. THANK YOU!
Seems I have a dead short :( I swapped the headlight fuse with the PCM and I did not hear / see it immediately blow, but when turned the key to "ON" (not crank), the THEFT light began blinking very fast, as it did before. I pulled the fuse and it was blown. Do you know if battery must be disconnected prior to new fuse or something else?
HA HAAAAAA... I found it! A wire to Mass Air under fender makes a VERY hard turn around the very sharp edge of sheet metal and wire was grounded. The fuse would not blow, until the key was turned to "ON", and since that was the last place I was working, prior to failure to start... that was it. Thank you for your informative video's 🐈

I haven’t had windows in the mustang for a week or so now. The weather took a turn for the worse so it wasn’t a big deal in the garage. Well, I got stuck taking that car to work this morning. It made it more of a necessity. Anyways, I climbed under and the first thing I saw was the large silver one for the windows and it was just dangling there. I pressed it up in there all the way and my windows worked instantly! I must have kicked it getting in and out. It’s good to know that was all it controlled and wasn’t really effecting anything else.
I'm in the same situation now and this video cleared my doubts and your comment confirmed that the silver one is tomorrow I'll buy it 😅

Hey Danny great video and explanation of the fuse boxes. I have a question? Looking at the video at 2:30 sec what electronic module is to the left of the fuse box. It looks like 3 connectors 2 white, and 1 black (by driver side KICK Panel). You won't believe what happened when I was troubleshooting this area. I'm thinking it's some type of relay or relay's for the engine control module(PCM)I have owned a 2004 MACH 1 for just under 20 yrs now. Never. I think I figured it out there are several components around and above the kick panel floorboard. The component I asked about are marked in the Serice manual as C313,C314,C315

Been thinking about installing a dash cam in my 04 mustang gt. You seem to be very knowledgeable on these cars. I was wondering if you would know what good fuse slots would be good to use to power the dash cam? The cam hardware kit would have three connections consisting of a ground wire, an accessory wire, and a constant on power wire. The accessory and constant on wire would need to be connected into the fuse box with fuse taps. Could one use the unused fuse slots or is there no power going to those slots? I’d appreciate any help.
I would look into the add a circuit and the video shows the spots that work best like instrument cluster that has power with the key only. Danny, I had a no start/no crank situation and wasted a lot of time and effort on removing/testing the starter and clutch peddle safety switch. I watched this video and switched the starter relay with the #5 fog light relay and my car started right up! Can a relay simply go out sometimes or did something cause it to go out? My car is an '03 Cobra 10th Anny and has 31,500 miles and is basically stock except for a 2.8 pulley. Thank you for the videos and I enjoy your channel!
The relay is just a switch and sometimes it does just get stuck open/closed and it does happen

i have a 00 GT 4.6 we blew a fuse, after replacing it i now have no brake lights, hazards or turn signal, i have tail lights when i have the lights on, replaced relays, multi switch i am at a loss it has to be something i am missing, my under dash panel dont have the red on it so its a guess
you have to run back and re wire everything make sure it tight and no butt connectors after that replace the fuses but mainly the yellow and green big fuse in the engine bay fuse!

Update on 1999 GT. After some troubleshooting. A Bussman 40 amp Max Blade fuse was assed up. I temporarily bridged the circuit and all my problems went away. However, my fuel pump does not want to kick in. It has a closed circuit at the fuel pump connector but the fuel pump does not want to kick in. Merry Christmas.

@@dannyjohnsonsgarage You are correct. But I checked the circuit the fuel pump and that probe does light up indicating there is current on that circuit. Although I don't know how many volts are actually going through the circuit. Nevertheless, the CCRM does, at times, make the fuel pump act up.

First off. You video have helped me out a ton. Second, Merry Christmas 2023. Here is my problem. Since the last time we have been in chat, I have managed to get the GT cranking, starting and moving. However, recently, I have been getting fuel delivery problems. Here is where I am at the moment, Dec. 20th, 2023. I have the adequate amount of voltage going from the battery to the fuse box main entrance. However, when I check my fuses individually, there is no power. What could be causing this?

@@dannyjohnsonsgarage The connection to the fuse box is one or two fairly thick cables that have an (gauge ring terminal), eye washer connection that is securely fastened to the fuse box by way of a 3/16 nut.....more or less in size. It is not 3/8 or 1/2 that I do know.
@@dannyjohnsonsgarage Now I have another problem. Both my doors do not respond to the manual lock unlock button. You can hear a slight clicking as if they want to lock or unlock. But nothing happens. And, I developed 32 code on my Airbag instrument panel light. I am going to charge the battery overnight and see what is going on. Thank you.
What would my brights be?
So I had the max fuse #6 (pcm) start blowing on me yesterday. It seemed to do it while I was turning right and/or pressing on the brake. I can replace the fuse, drive about 200ft and it will blow again.
I started diagnosing it with a test light and noticed the max fuse #? (i/p, PCM) had a short. So I went under the dash and pulled fuse #21 5amp and the test light went off so I'm guessing the short is somewhere between the instrument cluster max fuse in the engine bay and the cluster fuse under the dash.
I also noticed the box that is connected to the fuse panel under the dash is clicking and I never noticed it before but when I pull that 5amp instrument cluster fuse under the dash, it stops clicking. It's an 01 cobra with 46,xxx miles and nothing has really been touched on the car, it still has the stock radio. I know it's not impossible but I don't think there's any cut wires under the dash so could that box possibly have a short inside since it seems to be on the same circuit?
Yeah, it must have a short associated with that fuse. Some times it’s wires that have rubbed in the wheel well or an aftermarket alarm system
So theres 2 fuses for the windows 40A and then one under the dash #44 big grey one?

Yes, but there might be other items on that circuit, so just be sure it’s the only thing

The v6 has an open end differential, so only the passenger side will leave a mark and gets power

If it’s on the rear view mirror you must have a convertible. I’ll have to look it up when I have a minute, but it should be one for the dome light
Spot #7 under the dash is for interior lamps, so I would try to replace that fuse and if it’s still a problem remove the fuse but also see what else does not work. It could be a sensor thinking the door is not closed

Hey Danny do you happen to have a video were you show where the fog light wiring harness runs through? My driver side fog light wire for ripped out from an accident. And I'm trying to re wire it like the factory way. Update 8/2/22: so I figured it out but idk if this is exactly how it came from the factory. I tapped into the passenger fog light wiring and so I'm going to run the wiring through the radiator area then drop down to feed the driver side fog light. I swear I looked at the driver side wiring harness and I couldn't find any clues to where the original fog light wiring tapped into. So I'm just gonna do it this way instead.

@@dannyjohnsonsgarage hey brother, idk if this is the factory way but I just tapped into the passenger side fog light and now it powers up the driver side. Going to run the wires all clean and tucked under. From what I can tell the passenger fog light wiring comes from that fat wire harness near the passenger frame rail.
Hi Danny Johnson, I thought I was having a fuse problem! Help! I subscribed to your channel as it's just what I needed for my mustang. I'm having problems with my gas gauge not working from time to time. Shows empty and the low fuel light comes on, then it'll work and read 3/4 or whatever amount of gas I have in the tank. When this goes out I've also noticed the mileage gauge goes black as well. I thought it to be a fuse which brought me here. Any help? Please? Thank you,

If I take out fuse 27 (20 amp fuse) the radio and plug it into the bottom of a fuse tap and then plug a 10 amp fuse ( for aftermarket speedometer cluster) into the top I shouldn’t have a problem correct ???

Spot 5 should be the cluster and 37 the dimmer. I’d check those first

My 2002 gt convertible the alarm keeps going off when I open the door and won't start, will taking out the fuse for the relay help reset? I've done everything else on UA-cam to try to bypass it and now my key fob won't work..brand new battery on it and done all the tricks can u help me please?
It depends on if it’s an aftermarket alarm or the factory pats. I would check all the fuses for any sign of a add a circuit or blown fuses. Otherwise it’s best to have the pats alarm system turned off in a tune

@@dannyjohnsonsgarage after further investigation there was a killswitch installed by the bottom fuse box inside the car....I hit it and it killed the alarm and it started right up......this is after I tried every trick on UA-cam...my key fob still isn't programmed cuz its an aftermarket one but ill figure that out or just use the key from now on.

I have a question why does my starter motor relay fuse keep blowing
It could be from a short in the wire drawing too much power, or a loose connection
Is there one for the interior reading light?
Did you ever find out ???
Do you know any more info on fuse 39? It's causing a significant draw on my battery.
