    In mopars after 95, you can turn the key on and off a couple of times and leave it on, it will tell you any DTCs on the digital odometer.
    Cool to know you can do something similar in fords. Wonder if GMs have something similar?

    As i've understood this feature, the "dt 38d9" is a code for when the car was built. No idea how to decode it, but that's what it's supposed to be.

  • @R281
    @R281 6 років тому +21

    You can also program the seat belt chime so it doesn't come on. I forgot the steps, but it should be in the owner's manual (no tools or programmers needed). This is for anyone who wishes to drive without their seal belts on for extended periods of time *at their own risk*.

    • @XanderMeisman
      @XanderMeisman  6 років тому +2

      I never knew that! It's crazy how many little things you can do with these older Fords that a lot of people don't really think about. Mine is already set off so it doesn't go off and make that awful chime anymore.

    • @XanderMeisman
      @XanderMeisman  6 років тому +3

      Click bait helps small channels get their videos out there since the majority of viewers on UA-cam only watch larger channels so using a flashy thumbnail gets attention. I'm just trying to grow my channel so I can keep making new content for others to enjoy. I also agree that my idle is way too high on that car lol I don't know if it's the cold air intake or what's going on. Hopefully soon I can start working on it again. College has been kicking my ass these past few weeks.

      I appreciate the feedback it’s still going on the stock motor and trans 250,000+ miles later. I have my 2012 as the fun car. There’s nothing wrong with buying the 6 cylinder. The 64 1/2 Mustang first began production as a straight 6. You just can’t expect them to sound like or be faster than the V8

    On that digital speedometer will it read higher than the analog? My speedometer says 150 I can Peg my analog and the car still increases speed but I don't know how fast I'm going.

    I was always told that that button resets your mileage (which isn’t recommended).

      Nah the only thing mileage wise that it can reset is the trip

    Can you see how many gallons you have before you go empty?

    • @XanderMeisman
      @XanderMeisman  6 років тому

      I believe it deals more with pressure and voltage or something similar but you aren’t able to see the number of gallons remaining which would’ve been a really nice touch if you could lol
