I love the little uncle that took you around. He seems really sweet.
his unco ?
Love that people he meets are always friendly, charismatic and know their food stuff well.
Ipoh has the best Chinese food. That dried curry looked so delicious and the mixed char kuey teow. Ipoh food rocks!
As a Malaysian, I am so glad that you had made a trip here KL, Ipoh and Penang. But honestly is a bit rush and not only Chinese cuisine available here. Due to the time constraints and your tight schedule, we hope that you can really spend another trip here to try out more local delicacies. Like you introduction so much and trust me, our local invent of kaya (sweet) and butter (salty) creates a wonderful sparks with toast. Not to mention about the simply soft boiled egg which can really kidnap your heart and soul. Terima kasih Mike and your pretty female assistant I guess.
Steven really knows where to find the good food!
Who is Steven? Or do you mean Mike Chen?😆
@@melissar5261 stevens the guy leading him..
Your videos make me so happy, you've accomplished one the greatest things I feel. You're extremely personable and you're honest about the food. I feel like I'm watching a friend when I see your videos. Thank you.
He just radiates positive energy too and is so pleasant to watch ~
i would looove to have ANY of this. i had a friend from malaysia who would talk about all the foods she missed nonstop and now i get it.
Malaysian food is so scrumptious ☺️
You remind me of a Hobbit. All in a good way. Breakfast, second breakfast. Elevenses. Afternoon tea. Is it lunch or dinner? Lol! How do you keep yourself in good shape?
JstHere4DGoodies lol this is such a cute comment.

@@countdracool1348 ooh try Hollywood at Canning Garden! It's a halal Chinese hawker food stall and pretty famous amongst malays.
Mountain Girl how rude
@@countdracool1348 Why dogs are allowed to P in mosque? I thought muslims dislike dogs? And you don’t clean the P?
And narrated Hamza bin 'Abdullah:
My father said. "During the lifetime of Allah's Apostle, the dogs used to urinate, and pass through the mosques (come and go), nevertheless they never used to sprinkle water on it (urine of the dog.)"

I’m so glad you’re in Ipoh! I was waiting for you to go there because that’s where I’m from! My aunt actually works at the market you visited!
Glad you enjoyed the food :)
I love your enthusiasm 😀 I liked seeing you guys just serving each other like oh oh have some ! I am vicariously foodie traveling the world meeting people and seeing real foods through you! Thank you !
I like these two guys with you so much. They seem like fun to go eat with. They know all the right places too!
The two Malaysian guys are such a sweet couple
Hey Mike! Being born and raised in Ipoh, your tour brings back a lot of good memories of good food. And couldn't agree more, Ming Court has one of the best Dim Sum in Ipoh. There was something that you didn't try - the Liu Sha nak (salted egg yolk custard bun) and that's definitely a must have!
Anyway, great video and good job! 👍
Yay!! A new video!! Thank you.❣️💜
I love how he appreciates each dish he is introduced to. He knows behind each dish is a master chef who has perfected their dish to such perfection. My grandma is a nyonya that makes the best kuih nyonya so it might seem easy but the work, only the chef knows
I love when you have Steven and Rick on because they are so knowledgeable, and their enthusiasm for food almost rivals your own.
Can I connect with Steven and Rick? Love to go eat with them when I’m in Malay.
Watching your Vlogs has been my favorite past time. It even surpassed my kdrama addiction! More power to you Mikey and Team!!!
Mike this is one of my favorite videos. I love the simplicity yet celebratory aspect of the culture. I love seeing your two friends and how kind Uncle shares their love of food and culture with you. Excellent video!
Mikey, the editing and music of this video was just so special. Playful and exciting sometimes then peaceful and cozy at others. I felt like I was having these meals with you! Hope you loved it!
IPoh is amazing, loveeee their food!!!
You never failed to provide us good contents. I think your team should be proud for working for this Channel.

I so glad you have Rick with you. I love him! He is very sweet and funny. I seem to love all of your friends, much the way I love you! Stephen is a great, sweet guy. He finds the best food! I am happy to go on another adventure with you!
Hi Mike, what I love about you is that you tell the truth about how the food is and.I can tell when you love the dishes. I love watching you eating because you enjoy the food. Love you and your vidoes💞💞💞

Love Dim Sum and Curry!
Can u do a dim sum around the world video? Like, edit all the best dim sum moments in one video. Like if u agree.
Jiachael 643 yep, I would like to know what’s the difference between dimsum from other places
Such a great suggestion.
I’ve eaten enough dim sum LOl from around the world.. I want more Indian food !!
Jiachael 643 I think of one video in particular, when he eats with two cute Asian girls. Maybe in NYC? Anyways... The dim sum looked like some of the best I've seen on this channel.
Great idea.
Thanks so much Mikey! Thank you for featuring ipoh! That dry curry chicken coffee shop is opposite my school. It hasn't changed one bit in the last decade!
Thank you for visitng my hometown !!
“have three breakfasts” a word to live by. mike ur literally my mentor
STEVEN YOUR ENGLISH 👎
The moment when Mike and his friends cross the road holding their palms out, classic Malaysian! xD And washing the chopsticks and tea cups in the hot water at the dim sum place. Maaannn, I miss Malaysia.
I already know this is gonna be an amazing video great job
Mr.Creep 18 let me know if there are any halal ones in Ipoh. 🙏
Seeing you really enjoy your food so much makes me hungry and satisfied at the same time! Be safe on your future travels and keep up the good work! Much love and support ♥

Mikey ur my favorite UA-camr ever ❤️❤️❤️
those places are legit, miss 'em! Also love your energy MIke!
I love watching your videos and never get sick of them
i used to live in Malaysia and my favourite part about living there is the food.
Mike the youtube food king
I'm from Eastern Europe so Asian cuisine is something completely different and new for me. But watching these noodles makes my mouth water 😂
Wow, curry and noddles looks yummy
I could get used to these very regular uploads... keep up the great work Mike! All I see are your subscribers SKYROCKETING!!!
You shouldve tried malay and indian cuisine too.Nasi kandar,Nasi lemak, pasembor, nasi ganja and a lot more.
Wow did not know that Ipoh has so many Malaysian Chinese magics!!! Added to my must go list.
I love seeing & hearing about the different curries and other Asian food!
What I love about Mikey is the fact that he doesnt eat alone and is very welcoming to any guests he has. Those dry noodles looked delicious.
I have to try dim sum ! Looks great 👍
Thanks for coming to Ipoh, my hometown!
The combination of these 3 guys...epic!
subscribed your channel, so i can be inspired to cook at least imitating some of the dishes .... but always ended up hungry.
martin yan does some awesome dishes too and he is a good teacher too
0623kaboom thanks for information. I'm going to check out his videos.
0623kaboom i watched his show few years ago. I have a cooking channel so i often look for inspiration for my own recipe, but if i watch a cooking channel i tend to recook instead to create one 😁 Thanks for the info.
Every time I watch his videos I think about how I've never gotten the chance to eat delicious food like he does. 😩
You can make it with (local if you can't find authentic) ingredients. It's my compromise. Most foods are similar enough.
My mum is from ipoh and i go back to the place once or twice a year. You basically can walk into any market/coffeeshop and wont go wrong with the food.
How are you feeling Mike? Don't push yourself too hard!😊 Your videos are uplifting as always.
That dry curry looks 🔥
I shall eat kaya toast and soft boil egg for breakfast tomorrow. Im from singapore. I prefer to add dark soya sauce instead of light soya sauce to my eggs. And must really mix it up and “drink” it slowly.. yum..
I really shouldn’t have watched your video in the middle of the night.... Gosh, I’m sooooo hungry now!!! Ipoh food is so humble and so real... Thank you for sharing.
My home town.. Especially the morning market that I used to eat my breakfast everyday... I miss you " Menglembu " !!!!
"I think Jasmina might stand out here"
She always does .... 😍😍😘😘
Here I am eating cup noodles and thinking it's a gourmet meal.
THOJL You could turn it into one...
I love this guy for some reason I can’t explain
Awesome video man!!
you have such sweet guides to show you the best
You're totally wrong. He's a lousy guide bringing to all the wrong areas.
Patti White
He did not do anything abou' that overpriced breakfast
meow meow Mike said he made a mistake. It was rm4.50.
Watching this while on a diet, SOOO HARD
always enjoy your vids mikey
Mikey, you are so dang amazing. Your videos are so entertaining and you have the best personality, cheerful, positive, and always kind. Please don't stop vlogging your food adventures!

Last week went there at 6.20am with my Brother from US.
Enjoyed the ambience with got coffee.
@@Redniwsaj_ nice,
Kaya toast place name ?
Thanks for uploading! Since studying here in the UK, I've missed my home land so much.
Haha i love the slient dude thats just there to enjoy the food! Need more guests like him.
I don't care for straight coffee. But when I was 19 my best friend introduced me to frappucinos. I LOVE EM. I prefer cold drinks, iced lattes, iced mocha, iced macchiato, good stuff. Mood booster for me.
Caper Brown same here
me too! 😊
Man i used to work at that Dim Sum Shop,Its was a pretty hard job tho. When its Saturday and Sunday that place was Packed With people.
thanks for coming to my town Mike!
LOVE the Malaysia videos!!! :)
Hey Mikey, just tried hot pot and it was great even thkugh the place was bad, but your "custom" sauce with the sesame, chili, all the other things were godlike my dude. 😋
I'm really impressed by the Malay Chinese food you've shown so far. It's distinctly different from Filipino Chinese food. Maybe you can go back and feature Malay and Malaysian Indian food next?
Another great video!!
This looked so delicious but I’m also really enjoying how nice and sweet your guides seem to be! Great hosts 👍
