Dim Sum is honestly just one of those all time classic comforting moments where people/friends/family get together and eat delicious food. I love how there's an AYCE option which is great for those who love these dishes but can't get enough of it! Great share Mike!! The Abalone Siu Mai looked insane!!

It as 3:30 in the morning. I didn't think I was hungry, but you proved me wrong. Singapore is all about the food. If I lived there I would have to walk during the summer in the middle of the day to sweat away all of the food I would be eating.
Dont stress too much about the time limit! Its generally sufficient to have a proper meal, even if you exceed a little they don’t chase you out. Unless you’re there for hoursssss then they might remind you.😅 Most of the time they don’t actually track you by the minute.
Some places have high turnover so they do rush you out, not uncommon in some Asian cities. People are polite but you can tell they are ready to clean your table the second you get up.

I love the dim sums here at Chinese restaurants. Three quarters of a century ago, tiny things ( dim sums) won't fill us, children up so we had those bigger steamed bread like Mapao with a thick slice of beef, Siopao with ground meat and whole salted egg, or Chaipao filled with sweetened vegetables either to eat at Chinatown, Manila or to go after seeing movie in Avenda Rizal or in Azcarraga.
Most of us Americans absolutely do NOT know how to order Dim Sum. Loving this "educational" tutorial...which would be Great! Make a Dim Sum tutorial, Mike 😁!
I think I’ve figured it out! If Mike’s camera is positioned from an angle, he has company. If it’s directly in front of him, means he’s eating alone lol.

You once said you didn't eat prawn heads and then I watch you say they're delicious. You once said you never eat sushi. We've seen you eat sushi 1,000 times since. Wow! Go you! This made me crave dim sum so much! It looked delicious. The tofu and shrimp wraps looked delicious as did the steamed buns
Eating your way to heaven, Mikey! Man, I wish I could easily visit Singapore again. Lived there for several years in my youth. Those buffets are so far superior and ubiquitous than those in SoCal, it's just not fair!
I just love your videos. I'm trying not to be sad as I eat my late night bowl of cereal watching this. Hot and sour soup is my favorite as well. My friend who owned a restaurant in Chicago's China Town when I was a kid would make me eat a bowl of it each time I came in. She said it was healthy for me. She also got me addicted to long beans.
I'm always extra thankful when a new episode drops while my food is still hot 😋

Yes, in the Philippines the elders love native chicken because they are tastier. The problem is that the meat is more fibrous and you need to really boil them to be tender... but the texture won't be the same as lightly cooked normal white chicken.

I already made my choice, I am going with the $16 buffet because I don't want to wait 20 minutes for my dim sum. Yea, its super fancy at the $62 buffet but the wait is unacceptable. When I see that, I presume they're trying to slow down the ordering. Its like the AYCE sushi places that maybe get out 3 or 4 orders within their time limit.
Today, Mike tries two different dim sum buffets at two drastically different price points to see, which one is the most worth it.

HE IS CORRECT ON THE CHICKEN!!!! A type you only use to make soup. It's different in size too. They are slim with not much meat and everything is tougher then regular chicken. The skin is chewier also. Lovely flavour. You should know this already!!!

Most buffets especially in America are not pleasant, people have rioted fighting for crab legs, people fighting on the ground, man and woman slugging it out, beware when the server brings out the bowls, all he'll breaks loose no civilized America anymore , we never come near those places!

One of my ex housemates was from Zimbabwe she bought "African chicken meat" from her butchers she cooked a massive dish and I got to try a plate! Indeed there is different species of chicken and texture is completely different from the typical chickens we would eat. The meat was tougher and chewer but didn't lack flavour. Maybe it's time for you to expand Ur travels to other countries other than the set 10 countries that u usually travel to.

Local chicken breeds (non-broiler chicken) are a bit tough and red in colour. They make great stew but hardly any tender meat in them.

Was a place in Melbourne, Australia famous for the $8 chicken chop but unfortunately it had to move and is not open that much now. Used to have a lot of transport workers and randoms there. No one would even buy a drink only water
