Transforming a BMW R90 into an Epic Cafe Racer, unveiling the Waud Commission
Вставка

- The Waud Commission started life as a standard 1974 BMW R90/6. It was knackered and we saved it. Refinished in Porsche Fashion Grey, a color first seen on the 356 in the '50s, this bike has been meticulously rebuilt both cosmetically and mechanically. There's a sprinkling of custom work throughout using original parts from BMW's lineage of R-Series motorcycles, along with some aftermarket parts and some parts we've fabricated ourselves. Nothing is what it seems, take a look to learn more.

Another amazing bike. Roughchild, you guys are knocking it out of the park! Congrats.
Much appreciated!
Think I'm gonna be picking up a r90 in a few days, can't wait!
Good choice!
Did you get it ?
Love this bike. I’m building up a 75 r90/6 it’s great fun. What is the model and information of the carburetors? And same question for the rear suspension. Thank you!
671 subs.. this channel is growing so fast, i feel so happy for ya guys :D
All bigs things start small
compression and rebound damping knobs.. the preload is the nut on top of the spring
I understood that was on a screw shaft to extend the shock length without altering the preload?
Awesome stuff!
Glad you think so!
The only thing I don't like on this build is the seat thinnest compared to the tank size. Odd proportions. Otherwise solid.
I’m really happy with the seat. It’s thinner than usual too, allows riders legs to sit closer to the frame
Lovely build. Slightly over modernised IMHO ... but still great.
It’s still just 2 valves per cylinder and a pair of carburetors
@@RoughchildMoto That is very true. Keep up the great work, love your videos too.
I just would like to know appx ballpark how much do y'all charge for a restoration? Just curious though I do have a '78 R100 that I maintain myself mostly stock. She is my commuter and does awesome in 2024.
It varies but typically, a lot
Again; it's a brat style, not cafe racer, you sound British so you should know better, and believe me, nothin "epic" on this bike, looks good, that's it
Boo, who pee’d in your Cheerios? I don’t recall seeing your credentials as the cafe racer police, please improve the attitude in your comments - or don’t.
