Beautiful BMW R100. I am a bit of a purest owning a 1976 R90/6 in stock form. The absence of any rear fender or inability to carry anything other than a wallet and cell phone leaves me wondering why would anyone would pay more money to have less of a motorcycle?

Now that’s a proper motorcycle. Original looking with modern technology brakes. I like how the faring bodywork is retained with factory turn signals. Yes, this a proper motorcycle.

Café style build, everyone’s doing this nowadays, not a practical motorcycle for a long distance or cross country trip. No storage, no where to put much of anything for a long distance ride.

Nice effort, but why a / 5? With a 4 speed super clunky gearbox, it hardly seems worth it, unless you don’t have anything else to do.

The Bing Constant Velocity carburetors when set up correctly don’t leak and offer superior performance. I do agree with you on the Bridgestone BT46 tires, they do work well on the BMW.

If I sent my hubs to you could you do the sealed bearing conversion?

Amazing bike, as always. Please consider longer form films in this series, (in addition to these short vignettes).. Longer form will add some staying power to all the time and effort you've put into these. Some of us still have attention spans longer than two minutes. More detail setting up the bike and insight. into your modifications. Your workspace, presentation and commentary are great. Back 2 the bike, ; Big valve heads are a really nice touch on this one, not to mention the color.

So the donor for "The Texas Freeway Flyer" came in Monza Blue. In my barn in Somerset England I have an original paint /5 Monza Blue front fender, or mudguard as we describe them here in your old country. Bought from Josh at Parts Haus in 2022. For a very fair price too, even with the shipping. Love your work!
