Great job man!!! compliments! You make me dreaming...i wanna buy an R45 and do the same cosmetics you did on yours!!! This is the most beautiful R80GS i ever seen before!!
Shame you're in the States, that bike would be my dream bike and I'd consider having one built. Perfect amalgamation of Classic with Modern, just beautiful.
Looks fabulous! Looks a bit big for me at 5'10" though. Looks like a more comfortable bike for someone 6' or taller. Is this the one I saw at the handbuilt la show?
The one parked outside at Handbuilt was my personal bike, very similar but has the krauser 4v heads. It would be easy to modify one to suit your height
That's cute but money's only one piece of the puzzle. They are not cheap, and it is way easier to buy a brand new motorcycle from a dealership. You can't discredit the enthusiasm for something special. Special people, just like i said. Really, I'm not a salesman. I'm the anti salesman. It's for people that just get it.
You would be better off starting with a Moto Guzzi V85 TT and doing the 21inch 18inch wheel conversion and just getting rid of all the Euro emission nonsense to make it much lighter.
@@RoughchildMoto have You tried a V85TT? I did and they are wicked fun. On and off road. I had a BMW R1100GS and I would say out of the show room floor the TT has more rev happy engine and sharper handling. And with the 2024 VVT engine it is supposed to have more low down torque. Don't get me wrong I like Your build. Visually I would have jacked up the back a bit cause it looks like it is squatting. But I admire You finish! The bike looks factory built.
Yes! This could be my favourite build to date.
I agree, I love the r80g/s

Thank you. Good luck with the project

Looks like an awesome build. I'm jealous. It's ready for 200K miles.
You and me both!
What carburetor did you use and where can it be purchased?
SC38 from SmartCarb. Absolute game changer
Also off road?
what stops that back brake adjuster from un winding its self , looks like the curve is missing from the brass part.
Well Tom it's under load from the sprung brake shoes. The brass wing nut has a curve that matches the radius of the trunion in the brake arm
@@RoughchildMoto ah , thats what I thought was missing , it does not show up well in the video , tasty cycle
The R80 G/S Paris Dakar is a great bike , I have a 86 999
Looks great. For the 1%!
“special motorcycles for special people” - thats salesman speak for ‘expensive motorcycles for rich people'

No avocados were armed in the making of this video.

Maybe for some, way less work for sure, I wouldn't consider that better off though

You'd be wrong.
Difficult to understand your accent. It would be better to write a list of parts. Thank you
We're in the business of building motorcycles, if you'd like us to build you one like this, that's entirely possible
