The difference between a 10 year old and a 20 year old is drastic. The difference between a 20 year old and a 45 year old is not drastic. Many 40 year olds can look like they are in their 20’s, if they stay slim, dress youthful, and take care of their skin, hair and teeth. The major change comes for women at menopause. That is when diet, exercise no longer can make her look youthful. The loss of estrogen is what causes the major skin changes. The changes are drastic as the when teenagers go through puberty, but around 52, it’s puberty in reverse, and everything deflates, bone looses density, tissues deflate and shrivel, muscle mass does too. Diet and exercise become even more critical because the 50’s is when people start falling off a cliff, heath-wise. When you start loosing estrogen, you realize it is #1.

My dermatologist refused to prescribe Tret, saying that I'm too young for it (I was 22). So, i was thinking of buying retinol next year. Does retinol have the same benefits as Tret? Does it work more slowly?

Hi! Thanks a lot for your amazing videos. Can you please make a video on how to add lasers/IPL/energy-based treatments and injections (meso, radiesse, etc.) into a routine with tretinoin and other actives
Happy Sunday, Dr Stefani! I have a question about last week video, if you dont mind.. Do you think using temporary plumping products will damage the tissue of the lips in the long run? Don't those plumping products work by way of inflammation? Isn't inflammation the enemy of our skin? Will it ultimately leave the lips deflated from using plumping products that contain pepper, cinnamon, or other irritants such as that to increase blood flow? Or is inflammation only bad for everything else? Just trying to preserve what I have and if temporarily plumping them is going to fatigue and/or negatively impact my lips in the long run, I will avoid those products. Thank you. I love your channel!!🖤🖤🖤
I have a similar question in that I'm wondering if inflammation from at home radio frequency devices are creating a temporary inflammation which has a lifting and plumping effect at expense of the overall health of our skin. Because if you stop using the device the skin goes back to sagging which shows it wasn't plumped and lifted due to collagen, which lasts alot longer.
Thank you for sharing your knowledge and brilliance! Another great video. I use Native Path collagen with good results, and I feel it is a good quality product. I have muscle testing done on my supplements and my body likes this brand, lol. 😍
Both! Studies show 3 sessions, spaced 4 weeks apart increase collagen type-I at 3 and 6 months. So type 3 is initially produced then changes to type 1 as it matures.

I am new to this channel. I am so grateful that I found you. I have been so overwhelmed with all of the research of procedures available. I have significant osteoarthritis and did not take care of my skin in my hands and forearms I. Consequently, I have very thin skin in my fingers and hands and hyperpigmentation/hypopigmentation in my forearms. I am not sure how to proceed to replace the fullness in my fingers and hands and remove the ugly discoloration on my forearms. Can you help guide me?
Anti-aging doesn't have to be complicated. Just a bit of good skincare and regular treatments can make a huge difference.
Thank you for this video dr.Kappel! Do you think cream or gel tretinoin is better?
Cream is better for dry skin, gel is better for oily skin
Does high energy treatments and thermage reduce fat of the skin?
I would be very interested in your opinion on a supplement called "Vollagen", a vegan supplement that stimulates the body to make more collagen. It is advertised as the plant-based alternative to animal-based collagen supplements. I just started taking it and am curious to see what it will do for me.
How about microneedling had my first one and take skinny fat tyoes 1-3-5 collegen
Dr. Stefani, I'm 56. I'm getting saggy skin from my check bones down, neck isn't bad it's jowls. What can I do to tighten this area.. What can you advise me at home or in the office. I wish you were closer cause I would book an apptment but I'm in Brights Grove Ontario Canada no skin specialists here.
I heard thermage makes you lose fat pads
Hi! Thanks a lot for your amazing videos. Can you please make a video on how to add lasers/IPL/energy-based treatments and injections (meso, radiesse, etc.) into a routine with tretinoin and other actives
What do you recommend for a 28yr old whose bothered by skin laxity occurring in the nasolabial folds? Thermage or something else?
Is Thermage (RF) ok for people with melasma considering it's heat?
Hello Dr.Kappel, I watch your videos all the time and I love them. I have a question for you. Is SkinCeuticals considered a medical grade product?
Medical grade is a marketing term and ultimately meaningless.
@@valgal699I’d say no . Something like obagi is considered medical grade
But yes, they are lol
3:28 blue light from our devices?? I thought we didn’t have to worry about that 😢
Dr Kappel how about red light therapy?
What is your opinion on red light therapy such as Celuma?
What do you think about radio frequency home devices?
Can Thermage be used on dark/Black skin?
Thank you for sharing your knowledge and brilliance! Another great video. I use Native Path collagen with good results, and I feel it is a good quality product. I have muscle testing done on my supplements and my body likes this brand, lol. 😍
Your haircut is so cute!.
What about collagen in form if iv?
Does Sculptra make Collagen 1 or 3?
Both! Studies show 3 sessions, spaced 4 weeks apart increase collagen type-I at 3 and 6 months. So type 3 is initially produced then changes to type 1 as it matures.
@@jamiejohnson1398thank you 😊
What is your take on emface? 💜
@@annaframeworktwo1288 she said the goal is to have less muscularity in the face (botox freezes muscles) not more of it (at least for women). Emface just tones facial muscles. Does nothing for skin, skin tightening, resurfacing or even fat.
thank you so much
Thank you ❤❤❤
lol, my eyes see a 20 years teen, but my intuition says she is over 35 +, i think i found the right channel for collagen
Vital proteins breaks me out so bad, it’s also owned be nestle. They have the funds to pay to “promote themselves” in these seminars so than all the dermatologists and skin health professionals go out and recommend vital proteins. Like a secret sponsorship
Can you Dr. please talk about what if you get earlier the thermage then 5 years if it’s good or bad, for example every year
Are there any ways to collagen bank while pregnant or nursing?
I’ve been using glycolic acid for this
Is it possible to recommend some UK practitioners, or what to look out for to ensure that the practitioner is qualified to deliver treatments like Thermal, Fraxel etc. Many thanks !
