You do not need to explain anything that an internet troll says. I think you look amazing. It is obvious that you have a passion for your life's calling career wise. I love your channel. The vlog style is great. I also like that you show how to still enjoy beach life and take care of your skin at the same time. As a woman of 52 years who didn't start any skin care anti-aging until my upper 40s ( I wish I would have known more when I was younger), I soak up everything you have to say. 💗

totally with you Jennifer! some people have nothing better to do with them selves than be negativity because thats how they feel about themselves inside. So people, women, are living longer and longer lives, I mean chances are high that I'll probably live past 100 based on my genetics and my current and ongoing health practices, it is a benefit to society to have healthy people who are not a burden on the health care system and yes some of us actually may want to optimize how we are aging as time marches on, I would rather grow older and wiser and take care of my health and myself in the process so I can live a vibrant healthy and productive life than just be someone who throws their hands in the air and lets themself go. Like what we put inside our body manifests on the outside including our thoughts, I want to have good things going in and feel good and have energy and optimal health inside and out, and why can't I be able to be as beautiful as I can within what I am comfortable with and what I can do for myself, we are all different in what we want and need and within our life experiences. It takes a strong constitution and self knowing to put ones self out to the world, with that said Dr Kappel just focus on us, your patients and followers, I know you do, literally you can't make everyone happy out there... be yourself and the people out there who get you will appreciate and love you for you, thats all that matters.

I found you recently and I really like going through your content. You're an expert, explaining the basics, the why the why-not, it helps me gain perspective, think constructively about my choices, learn what I should do and what not, and cover surgical and non-surgical procedures, prescription vs OTC. Your channel deserves way much more attention, and I hope all the likes & saves I add help you. Plus, you seem like a decent human being, a great mom and a stunning woman so I hope you keep it going & keep the format. That neck content is so timely, that I've been wondering what to do, I'll definitely check the MDAiRE, I know they caught my eye when I saw you using the under-eye masks as well. Thank you kindly for taking the time and putting in the effort, it's much appreciated

Sorry this is my second comment: I know I have commented this before, and it's simply because the scientist in me has to put this out there. So, I have gotten regular old microneedling two times and a HIFU once. I saw noticeable results with my microneedling and nothing with the HIFU. I even asked loved ones for both procedures. I have pretty smooth skin with few issues so I am truly blessed my skincare regime and genetics have helped me. With microneedling I am looking to increase collagen to help lift my minor jowling and saggy neck. I took images and videos before and after. What I noticed was improved laxity, smaller pores, more smoothed out fine lines in my stubborn forehead and a more 'wakeful' appearance in two treatments I did four weeks spaced out.
Now, I will say this, first treatment was done at 1.3mm and second 1.5 at greatest depth. I take collagen daily, ceramides, hyaluronic acid, NMN and have a scientific approach to my skin care regime. I changed NOTHING in my life style except that I stopped all facial yoga and face massage. I wanted to see what would happen if I got rid of those benefits as they do help me tighten and tone my face. I can tell they work the most in those "ugly" downward postures, frowning postures etc. Well, I stopped and my skin improved beyond anything I was doing prior. I think I need just one more treatment this year and I am good. I'm 38. I have only gotten the aforementioned treatments. So I do feel because of my diet, exercise, and wellness routine--alongside my skincare routine, that I am giving my skin what it needs to repair and get the most out of those procedures.
I do not feel microneedling would show good results on people who do not have a good foundation to begin with as it's meant for mild to moderate skin changes or to target specific issues like acne scars. So no, it's not the best option. I totally agree with you. But, for some people, like me, my fibroblasts love it. Since I don't have a provider near me in a two hour radius I can find that I TRUST to do THERMAGE on me in upstate NY near Cayuga Lake, I am very scared to try laser or energy based devices. i would LOVE to try those but I just can't figure out if providers are qualified in my area as I am surrounded by medispas or a lonely single provider who doesn't post before and afters or do much on their website at all. *sighs*

Oh yes, I had dysphagia years ago by someone who was more into herself than her patients . She also numbed the side of my face by going to close to the infra orbital nerve when doing my under eye-filler. I'm not trying to scare anyone here. I've been getting injections forever, if you can find one person, that is great at everything, (which in my opinion, is about good listening) you will get a great injector, as I have now. She's great with everything so I don't have to go running around for one to do my lips, the other to do under eye-filler. It's still not a bad idea to have a back up injector, in case you can't get in to your primary person. It has taken me many years to find this person. It was no walk in the park going through all these other traumatizing events, so don't give up and say you're not getting any more injections. Thanks for all of the best videos, Dr. Kaplan, they are so appreciated 👏 👏

I have been following you for years. Thank you for sharing your wealth of knowledge! Years ago you were using Skin Better Science Alpha Ret Exfoliating Peel Pads in your nighttime skin routine. Would love if you formulated your own version of these peel pads!

Hi Dr. Kappel. I use .1% on my face and neck but recently the .1% has been irritating my neck. Should I go down to .5 or even .25? Thank you

Hi, wondering if you can get multiple Clear and Brilliant for the neck? I know you said it isn’t the best but I can’t afford Fraxel but I would like to get C & B every six weeks and the technician did my neck last time. I only had C & B once but plan to start going every six weeks for anti-aging. I look about 15 years younger than my age and have no sun damage on my neck, just faint neck bands.

I find your videos very informative. Sadly I do not know of any skilled Thermage provider in my area in upstate NY. It would be awesome if you could make a video going into micro detail on how to tell if someone is truly qualified without having to interrogate them, and potentially offend them and ruin the patient-provider relationship before it's even began. Like I'm a very direct person so I can see myself going into a provider's office and flat out saying "How many 100s of Thermage treatments have you done on patients to increase collagen without melting fat? How long have you been doing aesthetics? What's your certification? Have you done a fellow?" etc. etc. and just drill into them. I'd rather go in having ticked off all the 'red flags' and then maybe ask them more precise indicator questions to tell if they are truly comfortable meeting my expectations for NO fat melting. If you have already done this, please direct me to said video. :) Also, if you have recommendations on providers in various areas of the US that would be good too for those of us who can't fly out to see you in CA. lol I totally would love to get my work done with you but I cannot fly.

Hi Dr. Kappel, I really enjoy your videos. You are amazing and I value your opinion. I was told by my dermatologist that Thermage is for people that are in their 30s and 40s with minimal skin laxity issues but Ultherapy is best for people in their late 40s and 50s with moderate skin laxity issues. What’s your opinion? Thank you😊
