Hey Donut, Model T guy, here. $6,000 for a 1927 Roadster sounds about right. People don't buy Model T's for their engine, they buy it for the experience of owning a simple machine. I also found listing the engine specs amusing, because to Model T people, all that matters is if it has an original Model T engine in it.
Max: * lists the cubic inch displacement of the Model T *
Me: * *laughs in tolerances that made the displacement range from 2.7 liters to 3 liters* *
I want one. Dont know how to register here in germany though 😂
You gonna drive it on the autobahn?😂@@marcbeebee6969
Tolerances that increase displacement THAT MUCH? *cries in EURO/JDM small block clearnaces*
I have been wanting one to go around town in and do some light off-road stuff. I live in an old time mill town and can’t believe nobody rides one down Main Street.
Pistons go up and down? Passes QC
Things didn't get cheap, they just got normal. I'm only 30, and my ass even remembers when used/modified cars were reasonable.
Ja man. Same here. Remember when a supra was a 9000 Euro car?
And i got a bmw z3 for 9000 instead. But that was awsome too.
I remember MKIV supras selling between 20 and 30, wish I had the money in high school
Thank Mecum and Barrett Jackson for the price hike. Everyone thought their cars were made out of gold bricks for a while there. This is great to see if you not trying to flip them and just wanna have fun with them.

Boomers are dying. There’s gonna be a lot more changes coming. Just imagine the housing market in Florida.
In a few decades a concours level 1997 Integra Type R will be worth a lot of money.
More importantly, their retirement accounts aren't keeping up with inflation. All the boomers that didn't catch the coke train in the 80s are struggling financially now, and are becoming unhoused at an alarming rate.
Apartments and used car prices are also about to drop from all of the deportations.
Classic Cars are tied emotionaly to there demographic. No one outside of bomers wants a 57 caddy or. Bel air. Are they cool sure but I'm not wanting to pay 80k for one and maintain it.
@@philipparana9225finally can afford a 65 buick riviera
It’s almost as if those prices were not sustainable and everyone’s broke now.
Right? Who'd a thunk? Lolol
It was just a big chunk of dudes in that age group that found they had the money and the desire to get the cool war they wanted when they were young. Now that big chunk of dudes is older and no longer sufficiently interested in having maintaining and using a stinky unreliable old dinosaur that looks cool.
I wonder if 911 prices will ever lower in my lifetime.
This
its mostly just that boomer cars don't have much of a market anymore. The JDM stuff is still ridiculously over valued.
FINALY old cars are getting cheaper we dont need to pay 100K for a old car
uh old cars before they're classics no but something like a frame off restored 1974 Chevelle SS 454 yeah as the Chevelle was discontinued in 1977 base MSRP for the SS in 1974 was 4,500 which is equivalent to $29,000 dollars in 2025 money around the same as a new Toyota Camry LE Gas model mind you an American midsize car like the Chevelle had a 20 gallon fuel tank in those days and gas was cheap and plentiful 34 cents a gallon for regular and 36 cents a gallon for premium so it cost around $7.00 to fill the tank where as it would cost nearly 80 bucks to fill that same tank now and around 4,100 for the year where as to fill a Hybrid only 2025 Toyota Camry it costs about 2,100 per year as that has a fuel capacity nearly 7 gallons smaller and weighs between 200 and 350 LBs less than the Chevelle
Not after this video😂
@@courtneypuzzo2502 what? Can we get an order of punctuation with that novel you wrote?
Yeah. Now it's the '80s and '90s cars that are spiking in value as the Gen Xers and milennials start snapping them up. I had a third-generation Camaro I bought in 2018. Low miles, great inerior, paint was shot but it ran great and I paid $6500. An equivalent car today sells for twice that. In a few years IROCs will be regularly selling for over $20K, and clean low-mileage cars will be over $30K. When I was in college you could get a reasonably nice one for $1500 and a case of Bud Light. I'm glad I got the chance to own my dream car before they got super-expensive.
Wait until 2030 and rich California folk will be tossing dough to get a petrol powered classic
Nolan and Steph ABSOLUTELY NEED an old car restoration show, starting with their own vehicles. It would be sooo cool. PLEASE Donut make it happen!

Me being a millennial I didn’t really think I was too old until I saw a 2002 Pontiac Grand Am with historic plates. I wanted to cry.
😂 yeah the 1994 benzes are getting their historic plates now. 30 years in germany
Where I'm at it's 25 years, and when I go to renew my registration I'm gonna try and get historic plates for my truck. Saying 1999 is old still doesn't feel right
a running 2002 Grand Am in current year is actually impressive.
Dude probably still has the plastic wrap on the seats
This car was 100% designed for Boomers though it was just made in 2002
Bro by typing the word “millennial” you should automatically feel old yall got 18 year old kids out here now im soon to be one of em lmaooo
I remember in the 90s, many beloved classics were literally $100 or "free for scrap" on Craigslist.
Boomers truly fucking ruined everything didn't they? Classic cars were affordable, homes were affordable, jobs paid ok. Boomers came in and fucked up everything.
Now people want $1,000 for cars that should be scrapped, but the yards only do about $250-$350.
@tenpoundburrito My $1000 craigslist car has served me well, but not without constant attention. Something or other is always broken. Never stranded me anywhere tho. If I had to pay a shop, it would absolutely be time to scrap the car.
@@NonEuclideanTacoCannon I live in an area where $1,000 cars generally don't run at all. My father recently retired and has been looking for a rust-free four-wheel drive truck with under 150,000 miles for two years now. His budget is $10,000, the most he's ever spent on a vehicle, and he's still looking. Everything we've looked at for $10,000 or less has had damage, mechanical issues, and (not or) rust. I sold a non-running Land Rover Freelander with a broken windshield and sunroof for $1,250, a rusted-out Mercury Mountaineer with no air and the driver's seat broken for $2,500, and a Ford Bronco that hit a tree and had a bent frame, also no air, and a destroyed driver's seat for $3,750. And, yes, I posted all photos and disclosed all those details in the ads, yet all were gone quite quickly.
Unless you lived in the San Francisco bay area, there was no craigslist in the 90's'.

This is hilarious
Hey Donut, I'm an old car guy. That Hudson would have sold for more if it was a two door. It's a l6 4-door with a dirty engine bay and an original interior, if it was a cleaned up 2-door it would have sold for way more. The whole 2 vs 4-door price goes the same with many old 1940s-60s vehicles. If you need another example just look at 57 Chevy's. 2-door hardtops are worth way more than a 4-door regardless of badging. It's just the way it goes.
Four doors and wagons are often the rare models now because everyone wanted to save the sporty models while the four doors and wagons were family transportation. I passed on an unrestored '57 Chevy wagon not that long ago. It was relatively cheap and I think the wagon looks fantastic. I didn't have room for another car but I still wish I'd picked it up.
Of course it's an I6, it's a Hudson.....
@@jamesgeorge4874 Hudson didn't just make cars with l6's. Two years after this car was built, they were offered with v8's. The two year difference was something I didn't recall off the top of my head. Not that it matters; the point was that it's cruddy, and the sellers didn't bother to clean it first.
Got my 1973 Pinto for $600 and swapped a new engine in for $600, running and driving for $1200, now I just gotta do some finishing touches, I'm stoked on the build so far. Keep it up guys
Nice! That’s what classic cars should be - affordable with cheap parts.
Boomers have trapped us in their 1950s reality for long enough.
I've been suffering it since the 1980s.

You're right about the boomers, but I'm gonna be honest with you I don't want classics to be cheap because if they're too cheap, people won't preserve them as much... on the other hand, new cars should be cheaper.
@@JaydenBrooks-ys6lj This isn't about politics...
For those of you younger cats playing at home, this is what is known as the Model T syndrome. As an early 80s baby, I remember when model T's were insanely expensive, even after coming down from the 70s all time high. A stock model T can be had for 3 pistachio shells and pocket lint. Why? The people that were paying big money for them, and the ones relevant, aren't alive anymore. Terry, Phil, and Steve are all dying off, and Stetson, Neveah and Paxton don't care for clutches, carburetors and bias plies. I'm not saying there are no muscle car fans anymore, I'm saying there's not enough to necessitate driving the value up.
It's not just cars either, it's happening to a lot of things from that era. Stuff like grandfather clocks or large old wooden furniture is just nowhere near as valuable as it used to be.
Yeah, I mean most pianos in my area are literally free. Sure they all need tuning and other maintenance, and clean examples still go for over $10k, but when they’ve been sitting so long, and electric keyboards are much cheaper and more convenient to own, that’s what happen to the market
I have a theory that all collectibles peak as the generation that thinks they're cool is around retirement (the wealthiest, typically, they will be in their life) and then trails off as they die and their possessions re-enter the market right as demand is going down.
@@KHolzer444 Pianos got much more use in my grandpa's generation (in their mid 90s now). They made a lot of their own music for parties. You can do that with a keyboard, but a piano is more impressive. In any case, it's fallen out of favor.
@@KHolzer444 Oddly enough, a piano is a far more mechanically complex machine than an electric keyboard, and far more difficult to maintain. So much so that it is it's own profession. A piano can have 10000 moving parts, more than any vehicle, and most of them made of wood. Outside of concert halls and music schools, eventually there simply won't be any pianos around. Like the horse and carriage.
IROC and Foxbodies about to be crazy expensive though!
They're already on a steady rise
I have a 3rd gen firebird and need a 3rd gen Camaro to match and they are going up!
G bodies too.
Yeah and it's bullshit
It makes sense. Nostalgia factor based on when people were young and wanted something they could not get then. Like anytime I see a catfish, especially with an SS badge, I think of the rich kid in high school who got the new Camaro when he turned 16. Foxes and the prior gen Camaro were what the other kids got, then there were others like me that got the Mazda-badged Ford Explorer. I feel like a complete idiot today feeling completely unappreciative when my mom surprised me with one. I grew to love it pretty quickly, apologized, and still kind of wish I had it today. That thing destroyed a new[ish] Mitsubishi Montero Sport that hit me in the side in the school parking lot... the entire front bumper was in pieces on the ground, along with a headlight. My rear quarter panel? Tiny dint that was barely noticeable. Enough impact to slide my vehicle slightly sideways. Also was a 2-door that has not been available in forever until recently. Those will probably go up in value at some point, too.
It's about time something went down in price instead of up.
Weed went way down after legalization
Because the boomers are dying off, same thing happened in ghe 80s/90s when prewar cars costed a fortune compared to now.
Good riddance
I'm an auto transport broker and recently had a dealer customer of mine buy a 1974 milk truck for $5k. It had over $20k put into it and looked amazing. Auction prices can be insane sometimes.
As I’m approaching half a century here on this planet, I am realizing I could very well be keeping my low mileage S197 Mustang for the next 30 years (assuming I’m around). It’s 19 years old, but feels more like a relic of the past every year. It’s going to go to classic status, then winga-dinga. 😂 And when I bought it, I figured I’d enjoy it a few years and get something else.
Back in the mid 80’s, in the foxbody days, I’d pine over vintage 60’s Mustangs. 20 year old cars back then. And now that my car is near 20 years old, I can’t believe the difference 20 years makes now compared to then. But just being alive and in to cars in the 80’s makes me OLD these days! 😅. “Tell us about the dinosaurs, grandpa!”

When I bought my 1936 MG 2 litre I went to the garage in Hull, UK and the upholster said to me "Being a young man at your age, why are you interested in such cars?"
So I replied to her: "Y'know back in my country you have a lot of supercars that cost millions but you can't import classic cars. So that's something hard to find. But the funny thing is when you drive this and park it amongst a group of modern expensive cars, people will either see your car as "Pretty" or "Weird" but hey they'll look anyway because it's so out of place and time!"
We laughed XD
Also massive respect to you Nolan, keep going :)
Ugh! I drive classics and don’t like the attention. I’m there just to hear the carbs popping and spitting on warm up, then the sound and feel of driving, top down or windows open it’s paradise driving quiet country roads. The only downside is unwanted attention
To be fair anything slightly interesting in Hull is a blessing
@@thebigpicture2032 True true, tbh I started my interest as a kid with the Tex Avery (cars of tomorrow) and it grew from there. Many people here like to boast of how pricy their cars are and love the attention, but tbh cars are relative to the person. Memories, comfort etc.

I'm 40 years old and have a 1970 Chevelle Malibu that I do nearly all the work on from maintenance to a Tremec TKX swap. I can tell you the majority of guys my age and younger do not know anything about working on cars old or new. I live in a HOA and the looks I get when I have my garage open working on my car is hilarious. Same thing last week when I had to put new calipers, rotors, and pads on the back of my 2015 Silverado 1500. All the car guys I hang out with are 50+ up into their 70's.
Yeah but tbf for a lot it's just not possible to work on their car and gain actual practical knowledge. I'm 25 from central europe in a 2 mil people city, i don't have a garden in my 4th floor apartment that I could put my car on, let alone a personal garage and thats the case for a lot of carpeople nowdays. I am not surprised. I walked Barrett Jackson when it happened a few weeks ago and the number of classic American cars was huge. Maybe it always is but we didn't walk the whole thing. Once you see the 20 late 60s or 70s Mustangs, Camaros, yatta yatta, you have seen them all.

One man does not control the economy
Sentiment vs actual value.
I'd written off owning a decent classic as wholly unrealistic, but $17k for the Z is making me reconsider.
People love cheap prices but then use it as as excuse to not care about the car or not restore them anymore
Finally! The few remaining that know carburetors (and manuals?) have our time to shine.
That Hudson was also a four door…not as desirable as a two door.
My Dad who grew up in California in the 50s told me that four door cars were so un-cool, that he and his friends would not even be seen in one, let alone own one.
Model T owner here: if you like mechanical things and you have the self confidence to own a really slow car, you would love a T
I'm considering getting a Model T or a Model A or some other early car. I already own an old Jeep that maxes out at 55MPH and likes to cruise at 35 so I don't mind a seat of the pants driving experience. Early Fords still have huge parts support because there were so many of them made and they're designed to be worked on at home.

The folks who grew up coveting these, and spent money on them in their prime, are now past the time that they will spend money on similar cars. Their fans are just aging out. Who today wants, or even knows, a Hudson?
Anyone that watched the movie Cars. That’s how I know it because of watching it with my sons when they were kids.
Lots their was a gen milineals who owns a Hudson wtf it is one of the most affordable cars around.
Captain Scully 🫡
The tri-five cars will always have a following, but even prices on those have dropped like crazy - or rather, are now the same as they were in the 80’s. Most other 50’s cars are just not sought after by drivers today.
I’m reminded of the original Karate Kid movie from the 80’s. Mr Miyagi had a collection of cars from the 50’s that no kid in the 1980’s would really want. And now 40 years later, those cars would look good in a museum but I don’t know many people who want one - at least not an original one. (I’d buy a late 50’s pickup, but drivetrain swap it - LS - and new lower suspension, disc brakes, etc. Would cost twice the value to build a 50’s car to the way I’d want one.)
Anyone buying a Hudson… well, I imagine there’s a group that would buy one to take to a wrap shop and get it looking like the one from Cars, and then cruise around and get thumbs up from little kids through young adults, while old timers would just shake their heads. 😅
They are just returning to market price. However, there are actual classic cars that will never be disputed. A 55 Chevy is a boomer car and it may go down in price but it's NEVER not going to be a collector car by any generation: a 68 Mustang GT500, a MK4 Supra, or a 2023 Hellcat are all examples of cars that will forever be etched in history.
The tri-five Chevy will always be a collector car. The styling is iconic American car.
Promoting gambling, in this economy? WILD.
Me, a 30's millennial with a bad back, waking from my recliner to salivate over finally being able to buy literally any 60s or 70s V8 fastback from the Big Three. My time has come.

@@mitchhedberg4415 Plenty of experience driving Pontiacs, Mustangs, Chevy's from 65 to 74, no they don't.
I believe that during 2020 to 23 or 24 we reached the peak of the market to every car, and now the after party has passed. So now the prices are going down and I believe they will go down more, at least for a while.
I really like the cooperative vibe of this game. They are still competing but the conversation is gold.
Been waiting on the 60’s cars to drop
Good luck most 2 doors and convertibles from the 50's are still expensive.
There’s a lot of GenX who grew up loving these “vintage” muscle cars, hoping to one day own them. That said, prices have come down on the less popular ones in the last 10 years.
I had a ‘64 Cutlass that was resto-modded. The “problem” is if you find one in good condition, you might have to spend a lot of money getting it in to the driver/show condition you want. While the car prices are coming down, the cost of parts, labor (if you can find a hot rod shop), paint, and interior have all gone up. You can easily buy a $10k driving car, then sink another $20k in to it getting it closer to where you want, and then you have a $16-20k car.
You will be waiting forever. Muscle cars are loved by every generation. European stuff will probably come down but I doubt significantly

Nah, they are just old man cars now, the styling on some is still cool, but they are just garage queens. Nobody cares about a Camaro Copo these days, they look like crap.
I have a friend that just bought a Packard from the 1930’s. Prices for 1930’s and 1940’s car has really gone down.
7:50 an old friend of mine had a steam powered car from the late 1800s. I wasn't able to ride in it, but his daily driver was a 1929 Model B that I rode in quite a few times. However, if you're willing to stretch the definition of "car," then it'd be his early 1800s (as in before 1810) steam roller that I got to drive... *There was a steam tractor I also got to drive that may have been from the late 1700s, but I'm pretty sure I'm misremembering that date.
Buying a 68 LTD 3 years ago was the worst financial mistake I’ve made in my life

I believe that older or boomers cars are getting cheaper because tech is becoming lost(less parts, less mechanics=more complexities). Thus people are avoiding some of them because they wouldn't care for it properly. Some of them are going to straight up in value though
You have absolutely zero clue what you’re talking about.
The people who grew up with those cars, and most desire them, are going to nursing homes and cemetaries. And their families don't care about Pawpaw's old car. So they go up for sale just to get rid of them and get a little extra cash to cover final expenses/medical debt.
@dcskate1022why dont you tell us then, BUDDY
@@BabyJesus66 Those cars are becoming cheaper because the people who are interested in them are dying off. The cars have fewer parts and are actually simpler to repair because they're less complex. Parts are still readily available for Chevy sixes and Ford flathead V8s.

I normally find this segment boring but I enjoyed this one.
I never knew Justin knew so much about cars. Usually we just see him breaking stuff!
Ya’ll are missing out on the MGs. Aside from being slow their “electrical problems” are grossly exaggerated. Clean some electrical connections and it’s fine. Most of the issues come from the the god-knows-what shoddy aftermarket work done from previous owners.
The chrome bumper MGBs look cool af and these days people under 35 don’t even know what it is try to insult it. They just get loads of complements and are easy af to work in if you put in the effort.
They can;t keep up with traffic
@
I mean you’re going to start slower than other people, and some right hand turns on higher speed limit roads (ex: 45mph where people go 15mph more than the speed limit) may be sketchy, but they’re more than capable of 90mph+. Their size and ride height concerns me more than the speed tbh, but they’re safer than say, a moped or pretty much any motorcycle.
I'm part of the MG club. My dad has one and knows nothing about cars, but I've kind of used it as a teaching tool. And he's old, so I'll get it one of these day - it's a joy to drive fast.
Slow at first? Maybe - but once you give it the beans it takes the twistys very well, and NEEDS to be driven like a sports car.

That was definitely a 350 with a 454 air cleaner lol
When I was at the Barrett Jackson auction in Scottsdale I was surprised that numbers matching Hemi Superbirds were barely breaking 500k. A few years ago it seemed they were getting well into the 7 figures. What was also surprising was Lincoln Continentals and Chevy Blazers fetching 300k and up lol
Everyone's broke. And like Justin said, "even boomers are bored with Mopar"; cars get technologically interesting with Euro/Japanese cars of the 70's & 80's. Current gens don't have nostalgia for these old carburated tractors.
And their old musty interiors.
the craziest thing to come from this video is the wild difference in price for all of these cars in Australia compared to the US. The MG averages 40k AUD. So more than 3 times the price of the US

Nolans car is a prime example of a gateway car into the classic car scene. Afford. Not too desirable but still hits a chord with crowds. Will always bring someone a smile. A win all the way.
Some Boomer cars are cheap two doors and convertibles are still high up in price.
I could have bought a '57 Chevy Wagon for cheap not that long ago. I passed only because I didn't have room for it.
@bwofficial1776 AH yes I am on the same boat I am gen z I would love a 4 door 1958 Oldsmobile or a soviet Gaz 21 Volga but at least lack of space.
One of the smaller Acadian communities where I live here in New Brunswick, Tracadie sheila, just on the main drag of the highway, there is four four FJ40 Land cruisers in phenomenal shape, all owned by different owners. I'm assuming they know each other because all these Land cruisers are in amazing shape
I kind of want to annoy some people by asking for a build series of modernising Model T (modern engine with modern systems, maybe modern wheels and tires, and then my idea falls apart from here)
A guy local to me has a 13b t bucket
At that point just build a street rod kit with a modern tube frame and a fiberglass shell. No reason to buy an original T and replace every single part.
Uhh... that's been done about 3.4M times now.
@@benjaminshelton885holy shit that sounds cool as hell
Justin was on his comedic game today. He doesn't always hit for me, but he was a savage during this game
@18:30 I actually liked that generation thunderbird, and wish it had come with a Ford V8 and not a Jag.
If I found one cheap with a blown motor, I would totally consider picking it up and putting a 4.6 l two valve in it
I’m 100% with you. They’re not the most attractive cars, but it would be cool to own a nice one I think. My plan was always to Coyote-swap it, but a 4.6 would probably be a lot of fun too
You can't buy rear control arms, for them, the transmissions are junk.
One thing that was overlooked on the Hornet is that it’s a 4-door. Coupes are the desirable ones.
Part of the price decrease is demographics, the people who drove the prices up are now not as numerous as they used to be. Basically, what caused the prices go up and up, is not as present any more (can you tell I'm trying really hard not to be morbid?). Obviously doesn't explain all of it, but yeah that's definitely going to be a factor. Also, when did Nolan get good at guessing prices?
Now add electric cars that took a large market share across all generations and were, and still to a lesser degree today, used as status symbols. Mix with a dose of nostalgia of when you were young and wanted stuff you could not afford. Stir-in some age and money. Boom... lower car prices of stuff that nobody really could afford or understood before they could drive or had interest in cars. I'm willing to bet that if I took away a smart phone from most people still alive today, then asked them to find the switch to keep the dome light from turning on when the door is open in my '72 Duster they would not be able to figure it out. It took me a hot minute WITH the internet and a printed manual, too. Don't get me wrong, I found the switch pretty quick, just figuring out what it did was the challenge.
Love playing along at home, although it is doubly hard for me as I’m from Wales 🏴 and have no idea about the the US car market 😂
Yeah prices are very different in Europe.
Yep me too over in England. I was shocked by the price of that nissan patrol thing.
I mean Toyota land cruiser
Yeah that Land Cruiser was a really low price, I for one like the Karmann Ghia although not in pink but a nice blue would be good.
This clip changed my perspective on this!
I would love to see a video where Steph goes to the Pebble Beach auction

this gave me flashbacks to when I was trying to buy a BEAT 1963 4door mercury comet off Facebook marketplace a bit north of you guys in Bakersfield. The guy was asking 2k but it was so beat up (mainly just rust and interior, no accidents) I was only going to offer under 500 bucks. He ended up just giving it away to a friend he told me.
The Hornet sold for 9K because it's a four door post car, if it were a two door in those conditions I can see it go for 20/25K easy. Remember that these cars cater to the kustom car crowd the most, and we like hard tops, 2/4 doors, or in this case two doors, as older cars all had posts/B pillars, in both two or four doors form.
Post cars can definitely be cool though, don't get me wrong, I've had a couple myself, but they'll always be cheaper and I hope it stays that way, as some of my favorite cars are four doors, 30s four door sedans are imo some of the most beutiful, and so are 60s/70s four door hard tops.
The Barracuda is not "made to look like something", it's a 440 with a 4 speed on a racing chassis, what the fk are you talking about?
The ignorance is strong here.. kids these days 😤
Yep,boomers despise sedans/wagons for some reason
Cars, watches, and vintage toys/games are my go to metrics to see if we're in a bubble. With the pinch we're going to see at the grocery store coming up there's going to be some deals if you can hold onto some cash.
Draft kings actor is clearly tj millers cousin.
Everyone wants to relive their best memories. People who drove these cars in their 20s either can't drive anymore or have passed away.
Thank you for sharing this, very helpful!
Steph has cars that could be Donut content but didn't mention them to anyone at the company 😂 I like that
That toyota land cruiser pic says 712k miles not 71k miles lmao
No. The final white number on the right is tenths of a mile not a whole mile. Nearly all older vehicles only had 5 digit numbers for whole miles with the tenths of a mile counter on the right.
So it's nicely broken in is what you're saying.
Love how many of these are notable cars in the the Cars series. They honestly did a pretty good job at introductions if you pay attention. I only know the Karmann Ghia from Cars 2
Yeah but, what's the upkeep cost of these "cheap" older cars? And realistically can I drive them or do they just become artwork in my driveway? Because 9k for artwork that requires expensive upkeep isn't cheap....
Yes, to 'expensive' and 'artwork'... from experience... even though I don't want to leave the house if I can help it. Garage and driveways are full. Gaskets drying faster than I can lubricate them by using them. Mechanics don't know how to work on older cars and have them sit even longer when I do finally take them in due to not having the time to work on them myself. To be fair, none of the vehicles I'm referencing are nearly as nice as those featured in this video. If I could do a 1:1 swap of a couple of cars I paid more money for, I would do it.
@@alexs8923 And that's why I'd never waste the money, it's a rich man's game and realistically all you're going to do is show the car off and by proxy show off how much money you have for a moment or two and then it'd go right back to no one else noticing it for awhile. Like, I get enthusiasm and being a fan but, at some point you're just spending thousands and thousands on something someone is just going to look at.
There was a 1971 240Z that sold for 310K back in 2020, but it was a very rare color combo of Racing Green with brown interior.

Nobodys gonna watch your dumb video, clout goblin.
The problem with video is that very few of the cars on BAT actually sell they are listed and the owner buys it back if they don’t sell for what they want
They’re getting cheaper because of economic downturn.
Exactly. Average people don't have spending money like they used to
I was just able to pick up a 72 road runner for 10K and I absolutely love the thing! Needs a descent amount of work for being over 50 years old.
Cheap is 300% over what the original owners bought them for new 😂
Well, houses were $20k then,
Would you not call a $60k house now cheap?
Saw the roadrunner and remember every other boomer in my hometown bringing one to a car show. Seeing it go for 155 is insane to me. Dime a dozen in the south.
Are you saying you're able to sell me one for a dime, and it's not a Hot Wheels?
@tenpoundburrito yea but its a matchbox

True.

Wow only 52 seconds

As the owners start to die off their families sell off the cars for cheap. Gen X doesn't want these old slow cars anymore. The women we want to attach are not feeling the old Skool
Man im Gen Z and I would absolutely love to own and work on a 1970 Giulia GTA but I could only afford a 156
WTF many still do the amount of gen z who owns vintage cars like these are numerous I can get to hundreds of gen z and milineals that own cars like this. also 1970's cars are slower then these cars.
