The reason he stated that he cheated actually completely makes perfect sense, he's overly manipulative and even when exposed to breaking the trust of anyone in the speedrun community he still tries to safe his character by making up a story about how he did it all for the girl which must be the most creepy thing I've ever seen someone do to someone who also has a girlfriend?... There's so many layers of creepiness here it blows my mind.

Minecraft is such a cool speedrun because it requires an insane amount of improvisation and decision making. It makes it obvious when someone knows exactly where they’re going compared to a genuine RSG.
So Flowbee cheated the run to impress someone who already had a girlfriend. This is not moral but tbh this is probably one of the saddest reasons to cheat.

5:59 I can see the nether bricks for the spawner but it still is weird to go there without any signs that it is a spawner (All that was there was nether brick not nether fences or blazes)
flowbee's "world record" world could also have had increased rates, since the loading screen didn't take as long. This means they have been on the world before.

5:59, I can actually see more Nether Brick blocks behind the lava, and I noticed them before the video progressed; however, it's absolutely true that in a high-stakes speedrun environment you probably wouldn't pay much attention to the line of discolored red pixels amidst the background of other red pixels.
Honestly it's more that he should have been looking around. And if he had, would have been more likely to go to the obvious spawner to his left than to take off cross-country.
I know this is suppose to be a speedrunner exposing video but. That gif is freaking adorable.

Honestly this is just sad.
I feel extremely sorry for this guy, even though I don't know him or whatever he had done may it be good or bad. Winning someone's interest/love should not be based on impressing them. A person that likes you for your "skills" one day might start liking someone else because they might have better skills than you. Honestly a relationship should be based off of a strong bond between two people. Not even sure if this guy knew that girl in a more intimate way (by this i mean things like her name or how she looks like etc).
This isn't a movie or an anime, the real world is the place where there are no superheroes or main characters, there can be as many good endings and bad endings. The evil can get away with causing pain most of the times and unfortunately for the most of us or i should say the not fortunate enough of us, things never go the way we want them to. Even though there are no main characters, people with power or simply people that have a following (they're popular) will always rule over those who don't. Whoever is at the top decides what's right and what's wrong and often enough, it's all wrong. I'm tired of the sick society we live in and honestly i can't wait for it to change, I'll do my best for it to happen.

he cheated every sub 15 too, and prob that run seeing as it's an offline run where he "rolled" a seed that he knew inside out, prob didnt submit because he didnt want a fake run under that much scrutiny and an actual category wr would have brought a lot, also he most likely didnt have a verification token since the run was faked
note that I'm not sure that it's faked but someone with a reputation for cheating cannot be trusted to have rolled a seed they knew inside out fairly

Psychologically speaking, showing others that you commit mistakes as a normal, not perfect person would, makes you more trustworthy and likeable to others except under very specific contexts, this one not being one of them. So if he wanted Krystl to like him better, it was an overall better idea to just say he messed up but maybe in a funny way as in "yeah so I may or may not have lost a potentially great run because i forgot the food chest". It would have been really funnier and more sympathetic than "i got a great run but lost it to ender eyes", would not have been a lie, would not have been a risk to his reputation and speedrunning career, would not have been the pettiest shit to ever be witnessed in the mcspeedrunning community and would have been an overall better choice.

2:14 Flowbee was using duncan’s reset mod, the reason the “stop reset & quit” button didn’t appear is because that only appears when using the auto reset feature. This means flowbee had the auto-reset mod but he didn’t actually use it, presumably because he wanted to inject a seed and you can’t do that w/ the auto reset feature

So, I have no idea who Flowbee is/was or that all of this went on, and I can say, this was a random recommended video that I found fascinating, if only to know that Minecraft speedrunners are *_THIS_* passionate and regimented about this stuff. Fascinating and respectable.

I will make a defense of the portal room thing. When adrenaline is running high things feel slower and i myself have video where if I didn't know what I was watching I'd have thought there was hacking/cheating involved because in the game shotguns have a white light at the end of the barrel (common knowledge in the game)
I personally never counted how many frames it was in but when watching it back i have to slow down the video to even catch a glimpse of what felt so obvious when i played it.

In regards to finding the portal room, he obviously cheated in other ways but that part could have been reasoned out. Whenever I speedrun for fun I check down the stairs in rooms that look almost exactly like that, I've found that more often than not the portal room will be there.

@@emmazi00 I might not trust Dream, but I trust Karl Jobst and his investigation vid seemed likely to me that Dream's cheat is accidental. Dream's run was only caught because another speedrunner specifically went to go analyse his drop rates, which would make it a 'better' fake run since it was harder to catch.

you actually CAN see a bit of the fortress behind the lava stream if you're paying very close attention. that said, i had to pause and rewind multiple times to be sure i was seeing it right. if i had been actively playing the game at the time, i'd probably have missed it.
It just pisses me off that he still claims his other runs are legit when he does the same exact shit he does in the run that was proven to be cheated on the ones that can't be proven/disproven.

Quick note: at 5:56 you can see some fortress a bit so it kinda makes sense he tried to scout for the spawner
About the blaze spawner you could see the fences while it was running towards the dead end so that is not really good evidence since some good speedrunners could most likely regognize those fences for a blaze spawner

Honestly the reason for cheating on that speedrun is incredibly stupid. If I was in his spot I would have fully admitted to throwing a run because I forgot a foodchest. That will definitely get a good laugh out. 6:00 is like to point out that some of the fortress is visible from here. Maybe he noticed it then decided to run there seeing as it looks like a blaze spawned from afar
10:42 in his defense, I've seen Tarkov streamers wiping entire squads by just noticing them at the corner of their screens in thick shrubbery (doesn't help that tarkov's camera is usually in a slight grayscale). He's pretty much confirmed to have faked the run, but this accusation is a bit far fetched considering the stuff other people pulled off with similar conditions
Eleventy is right even if it's hard to explain to someone who's not a speedrunner. It's not really so much that he couldn't have seen anything down that corridor as that looking down that corridor at all shouldn't have been his priority over and above taking a peek through the wooden door on the other side.
Since we know he cheated, and we know he never navigated this stronghold legitimately, I highly doubt he ever noticed you could see the portal room from there at all. If convincing his audience that he had seen it had been the point, he likely would have hesitated or made some other visual show of "hey look! it's a portal room!" before actually going there. Instead he just spun around in F5, so he was probably trying to show something else, such as "hey look, I'm thinking about my options here". Problem is he wasn't in a position where a typical speedrunner would have been thinking about options. A typical speedrunner would have been thinking "is this starter? let me check". It's the same exact thing that's all through his runs, where his actions should be reflecting well-understood thought processes, and they don't. Every speedrunner is going to do stuff like this sometimes, but Flowbee has too much of it and not enough of the opposite, where you can see exactly what a speedrunner is thinking when they do something, and it makes sense.

That's not te point though, multiple times have been pointed out that none of the conditions were concrete proof of him cheating but enough to raise suspicion and that's all it's about, I think they've been really lenient with him and giving the benefit of the doubt, it's not ONE time that he doesn't look at his surroundings but any of the accusations are based upon continuous cases if odd behavior that doesn't belong to a world record speedrunner. There's odds are astronomical times a milion and at some point the odds become too low to a point where you can very accurately tell someone is cheating. Besides he wasn't proven guilty untill they looked at his files after which he IMMEDIATELY confessed to cheating aswell, all of it was suspicion to that point and all world record speedrunners are prone to suspicion so he wasn't an exception.

In a speed run, it costs you seconds and time to double take, etc. Most people would just cause better safe than sorry, but ya know, can't explain everything away when this guy's got a lineup of accusations and evidence. Much of it wasn't hard evidence, but piled together and with the recent admission, ya, guy got outed.
