I'm posting this on my wife of 53 yrs FB page. As I'm typing she's sleeping peacefully on the sofa recovering from her chemo treatment---thankfully she's OK with just 3 more treatments req'd. My eyes are welling up as I listen to these lyrics & realizing again how lucky I am. Love you 10,000 Irene.

      Aaaahhhh Maggie
      (& Sage & Neol Below)
I’m 56, Probably a bit too Young when this came out to fully appreciate it, But I do remember Boz’s Lively’er Song’s,
      70’s 80’s & 90’s Were the Golden Year’s of Music,
      20 minutes, 8 hour’s, (Irish Time) 3 day’s and 4 months ago on the 18th of May,
Ann, My Beautiful Wife of 30 year’s died from f**k’n cancer,
We feel Stone Wall Cracked In Love with each other the moment We met, Ann was 16, I was 18 & a 1/2,
Every Firework of a million New Year’s Eve, and a million Star’s in Heaven collided that day,
      Ann was only 53,
I never realized that the pain of Heart Break of being Heartbroken could hurt soooo much,
I don’t think the words that could describe it have been invented yet,
It’s Boz’s music and more like it keeps me going, to finish raising Our 4 Lovely Son’s
      (14 to 20)
Music today couldn’t Hold a Candle to this,
      Take Care Maggie

      ‘We’re All Alone’ from Boz
I’ve Slow Danced to these around Ann & Mine Bedroom Hugging Ann’s Night Gown and Clothes that Ann wore before and when She died …..
I can still smell Ann from them
I bet Ye’ve also bee listening to Niall Sedaka’s Laughter in the Rain and Our Last Song Together

My heartfelt condolences to you and your family. I too am very familiar with heartache that reminds me everyday that it’s still with me! Please hold on to your Faith, Family and Memories!
Don’t harbor any kind of ugliness in your heart!
Cling to the knowledge that soon we will all be together again with our loved ones!
Now make memories with your children and eventually grandchildren !
Maybe you need to listen to more upbeat music or no music, because sometimes the music and memories can way us down!
I will pray for you and your family!
It’s good to cry in private on occasion, just don’t make a habit of it!
Then continue to enjoy the four loves of your life, Gods creation and made with Love!❤️

It’s early In all this, my friends. Healing is a process not a product. *There’s no “right way” or “wrong way” to walk around with a shattered heart.* If you had a wonderful partner-not a euphoric recall, simply your Truth-allow your Truth to wash over you like a gentle wave. How fortunate we have been, eh?!
How devastating these memories. Hugs to all. You may not see us but we are walking beside you.

I met my wife when she was 18 - I was stunned, and said to myself - I'm gonna marry you one day, and I did. After 31 years of joy and passion, she passed, aged 49 from cancer - and that was 8 years ago. I hurt every day - without a lie. I know that some can move on and have another partner, and that's fantastic. I feel for those that have lost children - that's not meant to happen. But I find some comfort in having a few quiet beers, and listening to awesome music like this. Ka Kite All.

I met my wife in February of 1977, before this song was even written. We were engaged on 5-27-77 and married on 9-10-77. I met her while she was a cashier at a Regal gas station one cold nite. I saw her eyes, like fire in the night and asked her out right there, after seeing the moon, she was the one.. We did get crazy all night long, many times! The rest is history. We started out poor, me 21 her 20, we have done very well together. We both have had our bout with cancer, she is still fighting her lymphoma and always will at this point. I think you're right. You always know it's him because of this distinct smoothness. You believe he's in love with you when you hear him and watch him sing these lyrics. It's in his face and those vocal cords. Not sure I'm comfortable when a guy can make you feel that much with a song.

Sounds hard, but really simple. It's what we all should be.

I met her when I was 14 and I loved Anne all through high school. After graduation she left me for another. She even invited me to her wedding, knowing that I could not go. But I did go, and sat in my car crying in the distance where I saw the most beautiful golden angel in white walk down the steps of the church, and walk out of my life forever. Years and decades passed and one day, many years later, she did come back to me to tell me she was getting a divorce, and how sorry she was about us. But she had changed and so had I and we were different people. The world had changed and nothing was the same as before and we knew we could not go back. They found her at home, alone, dead of an overdose. As I place flowers on your grave today Anne I hope somehow you know how much I loved you. RIP.

one of the coolest, smoothest & (definitely) under-rated performers of the 70s & 80s. the man still has it today. i'm lucky to have seen him twice. LEGENDARY in my book.

So lucky to have been coming up in the 70’s , with all this great music & bands . I was a huge Boz Scaggs fan . He actually sounds better here live & later , than on the album IMO. Bravo Boz & accompaniment

It's 10/23/2023...and Mis Monet singing backup here with Boz is now on The Voice, and sounding just as beautiful!! Thanks for staying with it, girl!!!
