The key board player is playing a type of Synthesizer called an Electronic Melodica. The keyboard player is David Sancious. He used to play with Santana, and Sting (among many, many others).

It's just amazing how Steve Gadd plays this song. I just watched an other version with Abe Laboriel on drums and man, he's absolutely incredible too, but there is something about the Gadd's bassdrum line that makes his playing just wordless
