Even though I'll never have one of these myself, I was genuinely upset that Ferarri disallowed production of this car initially. I'm SO glad this his happening now because I now have the chance to see one in the flesh

@@forzabikeon a new car there's no need to double clutch unless the transmission is cold. Single clutch with a rev match is enough unless one really wants to baby the synchros. Once the synchros are really worn double cluthing might become necessary. It's down to preference but I've never managed to get double cluthed shifts as fast as single cluthed in my car.
yup..because this transmission definitely doesn't have synchros...

Happy it has a modest amount of power with the 4.3 engine too... something you could actually untap all the power and not wrap it around a tree in the first corner of ownership.

@@Mr995pippo It's the torque that will put you in the trees....383lb-ft of torque is a lot better than the >500lb-ft many modern supercars have.

@@PaddyMcQueen well said. I mean, when I was 16-18, I drove like that too. But years passed, I matured. I drive crazy on the track, where it belongs. Being a sportbike and sports car guy, I get it, but also seen enough of the accidents and the consequences caused

Unfettered by the ludicrous injection of hyper-car F.1 style tech, we have a manual gearbox mated to a high-revving brutish engine, on a short wheel base. It's a hark back to an almost forgotten era of motoring glory, the automotive equivalent of Maximus shouting, "Are you not entertained?" And indeed we are...

Well this is absolutely bang on for me, brilliant looking stubby bullet-like projectile that is more stunning than the original. I bet the seating position is properly sorted now too. But wait there's more, thank you for this excellent video production, no frills, no silly music no yapping on about the details, you just got on with it as it should be attacking the tarmac and the street sections, i was reminded of the Getaway in Stockholm days ;). Perfecto! Hefty price tag for this vehicle, hope to see it on Jay Leno or Harry's Garage in the future.

Can tell just by your comment you don't drive a manual. you'd realize how unnecessary any of that is in modern day sports cars. Its nothing to do with racing, double clutching is how you drive an ancient truck that had no synchros.

Beautiful. I was lucky enough to drive an original Stratos back in the early eighties in southern Germany. What a car. A bit twitchy at 150mph on the Aurobahn though! Would love a drive in one of these.

Always thought that 430’s sounded like a motorbike. Not a bad thing but much more bike than a 360 or 458’s more high pitch flat plane crank sound
Well the 360 had five valves per cylinder , and the 458 had a 2 mm overbore

Absolutely amazing thing! Apart from the front lights, it has the face of a puffin! I know modern safety laws won't allow pop up lights like the original but I think they could have done better than this?
