Wow the glorious sound of that Ferrari V6 in that car 🚗 brings back memories of the 1970s for me as a child watching that car on the RAC rally and those wonderful drivers who got to compete on those events around the world, must have had a lot of fun 🤩 doing so.
Thanks for sharing your memories with us. Those drivers of the time were Munari and Darniche, two great champions. The Stratos remains for me the most beautiful rally car, and with this exhaust system, the sound of the V6 becomes a fantastic melody.
Agree with these sentiments. A massive part of the enjoyment of motor sport is the soundtrack (like this heavenly scream/howl!) and the smell of the sometimes exotic fuels. That'll all be gone soon (unless it's classic racing) and that'll be a very sad day.
I just can't comprehend the amount of passion the owner must have for this car to race such a valuable piece of automotive history. HUGE respect and thanks
The problems with the Stratos are nothing to do with the design. It's recognised as the best of it's type, therefore highly collectable, therefore unaffordable to most.

So di certo che all'epoca c'era anche un collettore di aspirazione con i condotti più lunghi per avere una erogazione diversa, da pista, lo facevano in una fonderia Pavese, era anche molto bello da vedere perché era come una treccia. Sentita dal vivo al Rally Legend e paragonata al sound delle stratos Gr.4, mi fa pensare che c'è di più di uno scarico 6 in 1. Basta sentire il regime di giri raggiunto, che è veramente elevato, una differenza enorme. Comunque i tuoi video sono sempre di altissimo livello🤟🤟🤟

Quello che scrivi è anche il mio sospetto, oltre allo scarico penso ci sia un lavoro di fino sulle camme del motore ed altre cose, lo darei quasi per certo. Francamente non mi sarei mai aspettato, nel caso della prima Stratos bianca del video, che potesse salire così tanto di giri. Se noti, la seconda, quella grigia, adotta anche lei un 6 in 1 ma ad orecchio siamo a 1.500 almeno più in basso di quella bianca. Chiaramente dipende anche da quanto il pilota sta "tirando" il motore, ma le differenze fra entrambe è evidente. Sarebbe stato bello aver fatto un'onboard per togliersi ogni dubbio, con la gopro proprio sul contagiri...😎

Magari anche elettronica, visto che è elaborata da fuori fiche. Dovrebbe essere della NTecnilogy, l'azienda che preparava le alfa nel mondiale turismo...ma i motori li faceva l'autotecnica motori di Casalmaggiore. Comunque dovrebbe esserci qualche onboard. Grazie per il bellissimo video, fa piacere risentire lo scarico sviluppato dalla Univesity motors di Genova per conto del reparto Lancia corse. Permetteva di cambiare drasticamente la coppia del motore.
Si, l'Univesity motors era un team satellite del reparto corse Lancia e seguiva le macchine ufficiali affidate alla scuderia Grifone. Quando la Lancia voleva testare e/o sviluppare particolari senza dare nell'occhio si avvaleva di alcuni preparatori di fiducia come M.f.s. Maglioli e l'University motors. Se hai voglia di cercare in rete puoi trovare ulteriori notizie. I miei sono ricordi di gioventù rallystica. La Strato's era già all'epoca un mito per me.

The Stratos is particularly hard to drive. It's a new experience unlike most, and though anyone could drive one down the street you can tell it would take true mastery to get the most out of its extremely short wheelbase and mid-rear layout. It is addictive to see how far you can take it.

Si, fondamentalmente si. Ma come altri anno notato, sale tanto di giri, più delle altre Stratos Gruppo 4 che abbia mai visto. Quindi sospetto che ci sia anche una bella elaborazione al motore, specialmente alle camme.

Me encantan los rallies y voy a las etapas del WRC cuando puedo, pero te diré que los coches de rally que tienen 20, 30 o 40 años más son los que me entusiasman. Los nuevos son muy rápidos pero todos suenan igual y no tienen el carácter ni el encanto de los antiguos.

I am not shure if that is the dino engine...at the rallye legend there were some stratos with M3 or GT3 engines..... But doesn t matter.....the car is a legend and souns awesome.... 👍🔥
Nono it's the real Dino engines... The difference Is in the exhaust that in this cases it's a 6 in 1 made by university motors... At the rallyLegend never raced stratos with GT3 engines...
ll "Dino" suona sempre bene , ma secondo me suona meglio con i due tubi separati , che dall'esterno sembrano di dimensioni diverse (in realtà sono di uguale lunghezza fra loro , ma essendo il motore montato di traverso , lo scarico di una bancata "sporge" più dell'altro)
Mi trovi d'accordo. Questo suono 6 in 1 è fantastico ma anche lo scarico originale da Gruppo 4 è altrettanto maestoso e dal suono inconfondibile. Grazie per aver chiarito il dubbio di come mai uno dei due terminali fosse più lungo dell'altro, ho sempre notato questa cosa pur non capendone il reale motivo 👍
@@Italiansupercarvideo Un'altra curiosità sul Dino è che il 2.0 aveva il blocco in alluminio , mentre il 2.4 aveva il blocco in ghisa. Penso fosse uno dei tanti momenti in cui la Ferrari era avanti a tutti , pensava e capiva ben oltre ciò che i mezzi del tempo permettevano (in questo caso appunto la produzione di un blocco in alluminio). Prego , per me come per tanti appassionati i terminali sporgenti / dispari / finti / eccetera sono fonte di disturbo e curiosità al tempo stesso (ovviamente sono ironico). Una volta però lessi un intervista ad un tecnico McLaren che disse "abbiamo tutti un livello di OCD qui , e se non ce l'hai quando entri , ti viene lavorando".

Me encantan los rallies y voy a las etapas del WRC cuando puedo, pero te diré que los coches de rally que tienen 20, 30 o 40 años más son los que me entusiasman. Los nuevos son muy rápidos pero todos suenan igual y no tienen el carácter ni el encanto de los antiguos.

Nono it's the real Dino engines... The difference Is in the exhaust that in this cases it's a 6 in 1 made by university motors... At the rallyLegend never raced stratos with GT3 engines...
ll "Dino" suona sempre bene , ma secondo me suona meglio con i due tubi separati , che dall'esterno sembrano di dimensioni diverse (in realtà sono di uguale lunghezza fra loro , ma essendo il motore montato di traverso , lo scarico di una bancata "sporge" più dell'altro)
Mi trovi d'accordo. Questo suono 6 in 1 è fantastico ma anche lo scarico originale da Gruppo 4 è altrettanto maestoso e dal suono inconfondibile. Grazie per aver chiarito il dubbio di come mai uno dei due terminali fosse più lungo dell'altro, ho sempre notato questa cosa pur non capendone il reale motivo 👍
@@Italiansupercarvideo Un'altra curiosità sul Dino è che il 2.0 aveva il blocco in alluminio , mentre il 2.4 aveva il blocco in ghisa. Penso fosse uno dei tanti momenti in cui la Ferrari era avanti a tutti , pensava e capiva ben oltre ciò che i mezzi del tempo permettevano (in questo caso appunto la produzione di un blocco in alluminio).
Prego , per me come per tanti appassionati i terminali sporgenti / dispari / finti / eccetera sono fonte di disturbo e curiosità al tempo stesso (ovviamente sono ironico).
Una volta però lessi un intervista ad un tecnico McLaren che disse "abbiamo tutti un livello di OCD qui , e se non ce l'hai quando entri , ti viene lavorando".
