This is such a great show now. It flows seamlessly between big drama and big story and little moments of character and happenstance. And the flow between DM and players now is so natural that you’d hardly know there was a disparity in D&D experience only a year ago. You should all be proud of the creative output here; but also a big thanks to everyone - especially to Hollie - for all the logistical effort needed to make it happen. Again, such an amazing episode. I love all of them, but sometimes they are just a bit more intense. From that lovely and silly feast at the beginning, through all the bad rolls (which very appropriately changed to very good rolls later) to the big revelations in the end. Like I know they want to be strong for what they will face at the Sanctum but I was also surprised that it was used so quickly and not saved for when someone is 'all out of resources'. I think they underestimated the problems they would face inside and the endurance that will require.
Sorry, I absolutely could not ignore some Van Gogh trivia to give you guys. Feel free to look it up to test my accuracy. • The "Irises" painting by van gogh was actually originally purple irises. But because of the particular red pain that he used, the sun over time bleached out the red, leaving only blue. • The swirls in "Starry Night" are surprisingly scientifically founded. There is scientific backing that that is the motion of celestial bodies. (Or something along those lines. I discovered it a while ago.)

Now I really want to go back to the time they were walking on the path to Seascale and Kelnys used the Disguise Self spell for the first time and check exactly what his description was and what was the reaction of Dolus? The physical description of the transformed Dolus at the end of this episode sounds so similar to me, but my memory might be tricking me.

Spoiler alert . . . What a multi-layered tragedy that ended up being for Raidion. Making a losing a friend over an issue of trust, followed by trusting the person he shouldn’t have trusted and having a glimpse into his past that he’s been lied to by his “family” for a very long time.
Betting everyone's fate on consecutive luck checks is a dirty deal. At least use skill checks so they can benefit from choosing the right person for the right task. Climbing the rope was effectively double disadvantage with no bonus. The chances of getting up uninterrupted were 1/8 if the DC was 10.
Harry knows how to run skill challenges. We must ask ourselves why Luck was the chosen roll and not something else. Maybe it was to signify the chaotic nature of whatever has changed the waters, or something else that is behind the DM screen for us to find out later.
Kelnys is going to be some prince that was promised/Return of the king/harry potter situation isnt he? grew up away from his heritage, rightful one to lead.
OMG wow, it's been a while since I've seen this many bad/mediocre rolls in a row like the team had in the first 40 minutes of this session. And all for lore & investigation! I guess some days you just can't get good intel no matter how hard you try.
