Looks great !! I worked with latex mask making for 40 years but I'm scared to try silicone too many parts stuff might stick not come apart and special paints .ugh.
Thank you! With your experience with latex I bet you could figure out how to work with silicone no problem. I don’t take it to seriously, I just learn as I go. Trial and error. Latex errors are just cheaper.
Would you be interested in selling or donating this glorious mask? I intend to do nightly character lives to raise awareness and funds for Florida Fish Rescue and want to do Davey Jones. Im considering making the mask, but I'm not sure I have the skill set for it. If you'd like to see it put to good use for years to come, I'd be interested in discussing it with you.
Trial and error. I tried it and probably wouldn’t use foam in that application again. Silicone is heavy and expensive so I try not to use more than necessary.
@@nathankirschcosplay good to know. I'm trying to do casting with 3d prints and I think just printing a custom head cast to fit onto a printed casting will allow for even wall thikness despite the shape of the piece, but it's a thought I'm considering.
love the costume!! great job!
Thanks for watching!

Of course, I'd give you credit for it every time it's used and links to whatever site, product, or shop you want as well.
So you use silicone foam for deep overhang parts of the mask... why not just use dragon skin to fill instead.
