I know this is old but its the best pedal drive for entry level I guess...I have been pushing the Native Titan 13 for 6 years now in saltwater only and no issues and it's certainly the best pedal drive on the market for big guys especially...Stability and space is unmatched! I am currently replacing the lower unit on my friend's Topwater 106 only 2 years of use...I guess the drive isn't sealed? He had sand, water and shells inside ...wish I cud upload the pics I took
Lsf kayaks come already put together and ready to go. Grab a kayak carrier for hauling , you will appreciate it at the water. Love that paddle , totally useful , great thinking on the companies part. Take care on the water and have fun in whatever kayak or boat you have , but please respect the water , its more dangerous than most people think. Always clean up after you are done , unbelievable how many ignorant people still throw garbage away at the waters edge causing landowners to get peed off and posting private property signs up.

Actually you should get a inflatable pontoon. I like it much better. It’s more stable, carry more gear and you can use a trolling motor. Also you can use fins and stay in place. If your in a kayak it’s hard to stay in place without the kayak moving.
I’ve got a sit in kayak. But no way to use it. 😔 I can’t drive yet

What is the difference between Old Town Sportsman PDL 106 and the Old Town Topwater 106 PDL?

I have the previous Old Town model, the Topwater, in the 120 size, but not the pedal drive. I've been very curious if I made the wrong decision going with the Topwater 120 versus the Bonafide SS127 that you also have, so putting aside the pedal versus paddle argument, I'd LOVE your opinion on the comparison of stability, features, weight, build quality, and general usability while fishing between the two.
Nice which to you like better the Bonafids or the old town and which is more maneuverable. Because I’m literally torn between the two

Lol that’s a nice motor.. love old town family owns a lot of those. I have a 12ft pungo ...... 60 something pounds and I throw it on my shoulder with no problem... after a few beers and a few fish... the paddling gets old and tiring might have to upgrade to paddle drive or electric

So I’m 6’1, I’m leaning toward the 106, but being taller would I need the 120 or are the pedals in the same spot no matter which length you chose?
I've been keeping a close eye on these kayaks. Really curious why u guys didn't get the old town autopilot with the trolling motor and spotlock.
I'd assume because of the price? That thing is insanely expensive but the trolling motor option seems nice.

That kayak puts my Pelican Tracker angler kayak to shame. I have had mine for three years and everyone tells me to upgrade. The reason I don’t is my kayak weighs 28 pounds. I can lift it over my head with easy. Someone told me “Easy gets used, hard does not” It’s true.

Yes because the seat is adjustable, you will have less deck space to stand as you move the seat towards the front which gets it closer to the pedal drive system, but should still have enough room to stand and stretch the legs
Great video bro. I would love to own either the pdl or the trolling. I live right on the Tennessee River and have to bank fish most of the time. This yak would be such a huge benefit if I could only find one. Everyone around here in East Tennessee is out of them..ugh .

I have the old town sportsman 120 PDL and I have had it on the great lakes in Lakes Saint Clair and it is by far one of the best kayaks I’ve ever experienced I love this kayak I feel safe in this kayak it is a very stable water tight kayak and the pedal drive is very smooth and powerful and takes me up stream in the Saint Clair River with ease. I have the orange and black model I see you got the powder puff blue LOL just kidding I love the colors of these kayaks.

It’s fantastic when we take it out. We have the autopilots as well so it just depends on if we are both going out, or if I just want to take the lighter PDL out for a quick sesh

I absolutely HATE my lure retrieval cutout on my paddle. I've never used it and all I do is get weeds and lily pads stuck on it CONSTANTLY. Worst gimmick ever. Love the rest of your video though.
