That could be the motive for why abductor virgins (like you said a symbol of stolen birth) and godskins (a symbol of old shaman torture) were made, and for why Rykard (more heavily) and the carian royals (in secret) supported her. I think this smoothly links to the night of black knives (as the GeQ was defeated, ranni and the eternal cities pick up the the work themselves as the remaining, ranni and rykard who were previously in alliance, head to steal destined death and then use it to kill godwyn, while rykard is still at was as we see in game). (peraphs marika knew of that alliance and that's why she started the carian wars, and is peraphs an additional motive for why the academy expelled the carian royals). I would make sense no one talks about this, because it happened during hornsent/ post ascension era, maybe shortly after the lands of shadows were close, and then it begins with the night of black knives, the event after and most convenient to the golden order as a story to manipulate, if we remove the knowledge of what happened prior.
@@robertrubas2634 I think you're mixing things up, the Carian Wars is around when Radagon first meets Rennala. The wars end because they decide to get married, they have three kids. By this point, the land of shadow isn't sealed, because Messmer isn't there yet. We know this, because one of the dlc items says that Radahn looked up to Messmer like an older brother. He can only do that after he's born. Which means Marika is also still with Godfrey. But without anyone to fight, the gold in his eyes fades, and Marika takes grace away from all tarnished and exiles them from the Lands Between. It's after this that she calls Radagon back, I assume this is while Ranni is still young. Seeing as she seems to rely on someone else to teach her magic. Presumably her children lock her within the school to keep her safe. Seeing as item descriptions say that after her divorce, the other sorcerers no longer thought of her as the champion of the academy.
Yes, and the map is a fetus in the womb. And the weeping peninsula is a smaller fetus where you have to cross the bridge of sacrifice and where the impalers catacombs is with the “help me” saying. And where a castle is literally named after the emotion of mourning. Mourn: to feel deep sorrow over someone’s death. Usually shown by wearing black clothes. Both Marika and the abductor virgin wear black clothes holding the impaler. There are about a dozen clues about child abandonment and even death long before the DLC.

Funny enough the Blackflame greatsword says the queen controlled the Apostles before her defeat, and apostle lost the source of destined death after Maliketh defeated the, but those two events could be divided between the start of the order, and marica getting a black spear through in the womb. Also Radagon brought the golden needle entering Marriage ( often used to remove or add accessories to demigod gear), Godskin and Miquella also have Needle and sowing item, also Ijii made the Frozen Needle (shoot a regenerating blade projectile) hidden in Kingsream Ruins, guarded by a Royal Revenant. Thats all Needle facts I can find.
This just reminded me of Zayf the Scholar's video relating Marika to the Gloam-Eyed Queen herself. I wonder if this is all just pointing to that conclusion, and Marika's hidden connection with serpents, and the god-killing black flame. These aspects could have simply been divested from her, similar to what we find Miquella doing with St. Trina, and all of his crosses. I hope to see even more found out about Marika's secret past.

We do find abductors outside of some of the castles in the shadow lands. Maybe the abductors were tasked with taking messmer as a baby away to those lands. As he was abandoned by marika i think
Very cool video! It left me with a bit of a weird idea. What if the Gloam Eyed Queen was attempting to recreate the Numen with the godskins? Being as tied to destined death as she is, she may have found what the Hornsent did to the shamans completely reprehensible and may have created the godskins either as a way to repent for what the hornsent had done, or as a way to create new vessels for the jar saints. Marika then found out/was told about this, considered it an insult/mockery, and decided to turn on her even after she had helped Marika overthrow the hornsent.
You say “the baby” ominously lol Great video looking forward to see how you go further with the Virgin abducted her grandmothers baby and turned it into a battery
Ive been puzzling on the significance of the godslayer seal for a long time, never considered it was a uterus, but it makes perfect sense given the yoni imagery we see associated with Godskin, and their association with the feminine (dominula dancers are all women) and GEQ association with motherhood. Either intentionally or not, we see a similar shape to the symbol, on Mityrs fingerprint, as well as the fingerprint ruins. The seed acquired at the center of fingerprint ruins sort of strengthen the uterus-birth connection, but not sure if its intentional.
crazy we never saw this detail earlier with the abductors. id also like to reccomend "an eternal golden braid" may be a pretty good summary of marikas story atm.
Purple is obviously the color of the GEQ and the Godskins to me because purple gems feature prominently in the Godskin Peeler (which has a weapon art that summons blackflame) and the Godskin Noble set, the Noble summoning blackflame from himself (rather than from fhe Stitcher, which lacks purple gems). The fact that Maliketh's Destined Death attack was purple in vers 1.00 also hints at purple being the color of the og Blackflame. Destined Death was writ in the stars, meaning Vitality (red) was determined by the stars (blue), which together make purple (the course of one's Life, or Destined Death).
@@madmorgo6233 Sleep is close to death which is why I think ST TRINA (Eternal sleep) which Miquella introduced to give a world bereft of death the closest thing they could get to it, is PURPLE :3

Thiollier embodies this mentality, like a Lotus Eater ready for sweetest surrender. Moreover, "mortal coils" ties into the idea of Enir Ilim and the motif of coils (troubles and spirals) leading to godhood.

So, to extrapolate... could Marika have stolen Messmer and Melina from someone? The Gloam Eyed Queen maybe? Or is there a completely different conclusion we're meant to come to?
Metyr Is the most likely candidate for being in possession of the Elden. Ring and in fact, seems to be the star that was inferred to have Come to the lands between long ago. Bearing the Elden beasts, which would become the Elden. Ring The Elden bee seemingly representing a parasite. I believe that those golden strands were actually. The elder and beasts being removed from the eye of Metyr If you look at the model of Metyr, You will see that around. It's eye are wrinkles very similar and tone and design to the figure? We see the strands being pulled out of
Okay okay okay… so…Marika is a successful jar deity. And Messmer and Melina/GEQ are aspects she abandons to ascend as the Eternal Queen. She’s going to manifest the Greater Will/Golden Order Ring in the Tree, so she abandons the snakey Messmer fire. He’s eventually sealed in the Shadow Tree land. She abandons the fire of Death in Melina/GEQ, who continues to operate as a blasphemy until she’s defeated and sealed by her Shadow. Melina is reborn as the key to end the Erdtree age, when Death is loosed again by Ranni. Interesting.
the mass of ripples, "the snake womb", as you mentioned, looks similar to whats rippling in messmers eye when he gouges it out, when he says "devoured in the jaws of the abyssal serpent, shorn of light"
I always thought that Noble was there because he was looking for Destined Death, thinking it would still be on Ranni’s corpse. I didn’t think they were guarding it. I guess the others do sort have connections the Carians by their placement (obviously Rykards is in Volcano Manor, Radhan’s is in the base of his sacred tower where you can activate his Great Rune but that one’s kind of a stretch imo, and then the random Apostle in Windmill Village who’s there for... reasons?)
speaking of babies the object in the trailer looks like cloth to me, specifically a swaddling cloth. We can even see the baby's head through the opening
amazing ❤ ashamed we’ll never get some of these answers but I really think the abductor virgin is blowing the lid off this lore community. It feels like striking gold I don’t know how else to describe it. Can’t wait to see what’s coming!
To add to my previous comment, the more I watch your videos on Elden Ring, the more I’m becoming convinced that the Lands Between and it’s story is more like Marika’s twisted psychological roadmap, or a dreamscape. While the Land of Shadows - despite it’s name - is the reality of the past informing that psychology.
Malenia's first bloom was guaranteed caelid a ghost by the abductor virgin next to the smoldering wall confirms it so yeah shes not had her final bloom yet
I didn't see this posted. Apologies if you already have this. I'm looking at statues in the game. At Miquella's Haligtree. Elphael Inner Wall is the closest site of grace. On the face of the building before the site of grace, the area where you fight an Erdtree Avatar and knights, there are statues of common soliders craved into the building. The statues of the common soliders have a tiny baby hugging their hip
HOLY SHIT! -man I need to look more at snapped pics, etc This is why I’ve always loved Zulle The Witch channel. The details he goes into. & I saw this girls vid; & she *really* did her research! Went from “cool theory” to some genuine implications she strongly substantiated (Never once saw these contorted faces though-did she show that in her vid as well; cause I don’t remember that Good vid yourself; glad I ran across it👍✌️
That's a very well-hidden detail if intentional, especially since I've never seen anyone mention this for the entire time the game's been out. It's apt how it makes even more connections between the Jar Saints and the Gloam-Eyed Queen though!
Not sure if this was mentioned somewhere (or even if it is right, for that matter) but I think that other than Marika and the GEQ, the only faction/entity to have Queens are the Carians. Carian “Royals”, Rennala Queen of the Full Moon. If Gloam is Twilight, then maybe the GEQ is a convergence of Sun and Moon, day and night
Important to remember that there was no death for a long period in the lands between. They don’t talk a lot about how new life was made during those times.
The Blackflane incantation sigil does look like a womb. I reckon that the sigil was akin to the hamsa hand, but inverted. Instead of protection, it inflicts harm, but since this is Miyazaki's work, it could be both a womb and a hand.
If Melina is the GEQ and an aspect of Marika she abandoned to ascend to Godhood, perhaps the first scene from the trailer was showing how Marika was the GEQ before Melina. The Godskin swaddling cloth she was shown pulling threads of Gold from was a Crucible. Perhaps it was a hint to your theory rather than a significant historical moment. The spiral pattern to the Godslayer Greatsword; the ancient bracelets and armors of the apostles; the shamanistic elements of the cloth itself; the windmill village; the Apostle’s resemblance to Messmer; the uterine imagery of the blackflame - its allusion to Metyr: these are all things Marika wants to forget. A flame shorn of color altogether; it is Marika completely repressing her past abandonment. Perhaps it is her guilt.
I saw it pointed out recently that the black flame symbol also resembles metyr's fingerprint. Which, metyr being the mother of fingers, might also align with your theory here.
Everything that has to do with Marika is made of people, which kind of supports the idea that Marika is the gloam-eyed queen. It also supports a wacky theory I have that she planned everything, including Godwyn dying, in order to trick the greater will to make things easier for a tarnished to overthrow her, because she knew the two fingers were corrupted but needed their help to avenge her people. Sort of a death-note-esque plans on plans on plans thing
Another banger video by the Scum Mage himself. The Crypt Sorcerers look very Carian and they have the same stance as the Lazuli Sorcerers ones so that's another link with Caria. There are 7 walking Mausoleums which also lines up with the faces on the Godskins. I keep feeling that the number 7 may be a significant number in the story too, 7 signifies completeness, perfection and holiness in Abrahamic religions, God created the world in 7 days, The seven qualities of the Messiah. I would say there's 7 Churches of Marika too, 4 in the base game, and then 3 in the DLC, but with different names, they share the same structure and statues of Marika though but that feels like a stretch. I feel like there's more examples of 7 in Elden Ring that I'm missing, I just wish we got a Song of the Lands Between one day and get answers to everything lol.
The entire game seems to be an exploration of the consequences of the alchemical injunction "solve et coagula." Individuals are used as raw material in the schemes and machinations of other individuals, but it's an abomination and the curses pile up.
Imo i think the evidence points way more at Melina being 2 people/1 body with the gloam eyed queen. Similar to Radagon/Marika, St Trina/Miquella and Messmer and the abyssal serpent. I think Maliketh sealed the gloam eyed queen behind Melina's closed eye which is why it has a beast claw looking symbol on it. I don't think she remembers this and she mentions she is not sure of her purpose or why she is without a body. I have always had a suspicion Marika was using her and the godskins in a similar way to Messmer, getting her to slay competition as the gloam eyed queen and once that use was done she got Maliketh to seal away destined death, robbing the godskins and her of power. In the end cutscene with the madness ending her eye is open, she is so mad she breaks the seal on her eye, the purple glow could very easily be described as a 'gloam eye' and she vows to deliver destined death to the player. Who wielded destined death before Maliketh? What happened when Messmer broke the seal on the abyssal serpent? If it isn't the gloam eyed queen the biggest mystery for me remains what is sealed behind Melina's eye?
Oh, I just had a bad thought. Marika had 9 sets of children as a God. There are technically 7 modern sins and 2 historical ones (2 dlc you might say). I wonder if she she'd those aspects of herself via giving birth to them (they are literally all her sins being pruged) and she had to break the elden ring to be free of the greater will. Ranni is a good candidate for her pride and might tie into empyrean hood. So her bring a passing candidate to follow as an ending (though a bad ending overall)
Also, Boc mentions early on that his mother was a seamstress. I think he is referring to the Gloam-eyed Queen, who possessed [some of] the threads of fate, and Marika stole them for her own purposes. Either that, or he is referring to Marika, who acted as a 'seamstress of fate' after she took the threads. Either way, many of the female figures in ER seem to me to be based on the Norns of Norse mythology, three of whom were giants (the number of female giants in ER).

Hey! 🥰
I've always thought it's interesting the only two prattling plates pre DLC with unique text are the "you're beautiful" plate from the destroyed dominula village and the "my beloved" plate from Miquellas Haligtree :P One has quest implications I've always wondered if the my beloved one does too.
What a wild little rabbit hole you just gave me there, I absolutely love it! I agree, making my next big video is a tangled mess of associations 😂
"impalers catacombs with the “help me” saying" - I left a message exactly like this in the trapped room's cubby hole on launch day 😂
Strangely the best performing message I ever wrote, too
Keep on Cookin"! Your sense to detail is strong. for an under ten-minute video, my attention stayed active, couldn't really look away. Subject interesting. Great Job! Thanks!!
FR. I keep looking away and then having to scroll back! Usually I just listen... but this is a proper investigation 🤔🤩🔥
Very nice. Can't wait for your future finds
I think the obelisk-reliefs by the Siofra River Bank Site of Grace potential show child sacrifice as part of growing a Great tree. The obelisks which show the ships with the bull horns at the top of the relief
It's so nice to see smaller UA-camrs recording such amazing videos. Congrats!!
The baby is Ocelot.
"You're pretty good"
Funny enough the Blackflame greatsword says the queen controlled the Apostles before her defeat, and apostle lost the source of destined death after Maliketh defeated the, but those two events could be divided between the start of the order, and marica getting a black spear through in the womb.
0:11 oh thats easy bro, no need to go lore hunting for this one. hes a rapper, who kinda fell off. had some good songs tho.
😂

This just reminded me of Zayf the Scholar's video relating Marika to the Gloam-Eyed Queen herself. I wonder if this is all just pointing to that conclusion, and Marika's hidden connection with serpents, and the god-killing black flame. These aspects could have simply been divested from her, similar to what we find Miquella doing with St. Trina, and all of his crosses. I hope to see even more found out about Marika's secret past.
Bro probably found the detail Miyazaki was talking about about
Maybe part of Rykard’s blasphemy was weaponizing that shaman symbol. Just to stick it to the erd tree and Marika more
Very Bloodbornesque
Very true, from what I've seen anyway....
I'm yet to play it......... hhahahaa
Look, IM A MAGE AND THERES BASICALLY NO MAGIC, OK?!?
@@ScumMageInfa just the womb hands and black flame uterus stuff really brings back to body horror vibes in a good way makes sense to because elden ring is also a game about motherhood but just in a different way
@@ScumMageInfaArcane build gets you some magic trinkets, but from mid to end game; you'll be playing the first part melee in any case...
@@ScumMageInfa*Blacksky Eye intensifies* 😉
You say “the baby” ominously lol
Great video looking forward to see how you go further with the Virgin abducted her grandmothers baby and turned it into a battery

😂🥰
Ive been puzzling on the significance of the godslayer seal for a long time, never considered it was a uterus, but it makes perfect sense given the yoni imagery we see associated with Godskin, and their association with the feminine (dominula dancers are all women) and GEQ association with motherhood.
Either intentionally or not, we see a similar shape to the symbol, on Mityrs fingerprint, as well as the fingerprint ruins. The seed acquired at the center of fingerprint ruins sort of strengthen the uterus-birth connection, but not sure if its intentional.
OK, the second baby with the “line” in it ( 1:32 ) looks exactly like the iris of Grace placed in Mesmer‘s eye!!!!
HOLY SHIT THEY MADE THAT SYMBOL FROM THE RELEASE
Holy… everything you said makes perfect sense!! Thanks you for this in depth analysis
crazy we never saw this detail earlier with the abductors. id also like to reccomend "an eternal golden braid" may be a pretty good summary of marikas story atm.
Gravity and sinking Sleep are also purple 💜
@@madmorgo6233 not purple AND black. Black and purple gems adorn all of the Godskin accoutrements.
@@madmorgo6233 Sleep is close to death which is why I think ST TRINA (Eternal sleep) which Miquella introduced to give a world bereft of death the closest thing they could get to it, is PURPLE :3
@@ScumMageInfa and imbibing St Trina's nectar leads to death. I think GRR Martin is being very literary in this link. He is referencing Hamlet and the "To be or nor to be speech" wherein Hamlet states "to die, to sleep...to sleep perchance to dream, for in the sleep of death who knows what dreams may come when we have shuffled off this mortal coil...". Thiollier embodies this mentality, like a Lotus Eater ready for sweetest surrender. Moreover, "mortal coils" ties into the idea of Enir Ilim and the motif of coils (troubles and spirals) leading to godhood.
@@falgalhutkinsmarzcal3962 hmm, the eye of Frenzied Flame is also black - for death/stopping/annihilation, I'd say... I like your point about the red and blue mixing into Fate a lot ^^
Infa, yesss I agree 🥀 I'm in the Trina gang! XD
Its crazy how you noticed though. Amazing. And the fact fromsoft even puts in these small details.
Crepus of the roundtable assasins is worth looking into. His name derives from crepuscular. Fascinating etymolgy in context of Elden Ring.
fantastic video!
So, to extrapolate... could Marika have stolen Messmer and Melina from someone? The Gloam Eyed Queen maybe? Or is there a completely different conclusion we're meant to come to?
Metyr
Is the most likely candidate for being in possession of the Elden. Ring and in fact, seems to be the star that was inferred to have Come to the lands between long ago. Bearing the Elden beasts, which would become the Elden. Ring
The Elden bee seemingly representing a parasite. I believe that those golden strands were actually. The elder and beasts being removed from the eye of Metyr
If you look at the model of Metyr, You will see that around. It's eye are wrinkles very similar and tone and design to the figure? We see the strands being pulled out of
Agree.
The twinbirds are red and blue. You can also get talismans from black knife assassins that are red and blue depictions of the black knife.
Ok the faces was crazy enough but thats DEFINITELY the jar saint symbol in the portrait wtfff
you cooked
Heineken in DS2 is my favorite texture lore.
the mass of ripples, "the snake womb", as you mentioned, looks similar to whats rippling in messmers eye when he gouges it out, when he says "devoured in the jaws of the abyssal serpent, shorn of light"
This is a BIG revelation
This reminded me of the babies stuck to Vordt of the Boreal Valley in DS3 cut content. Great video. Those games are something else...
I always love the nod to “Carian” and Carrion birds. Them being tied to death and birds often being tied to the moon in ancient mythology.
Gonna have nightmares now, yay!
Hey man, you should probably include a link to kitetale's video in the description if you're gonna reference it. Geat video though. :)
Smort
amazing ❤ ashamed we’ll never get some of these answers but I really think the abductor virgin is blowing the lid off this lore community.
Her boss fight with us was her second
Ghost's quoted dialogue" Sublime, I tell you. The very first flower of Aeonia bloomed on this very spot. Malenia, may you blossom into a goddess."
There's a straight up arm and hand as well under the first face you zoom in on!
Alright time to closely examine EVERYTHING again
HOLY SHIT!
-man I need to look more at snapped pics, etc
This is why I’ve always loved Zulle The Witch channel.
The details he goes into.
& I saw this girls vid; & she *really* did her research! Went from “cool theory” to some genuine implications she strongly substantiated
(Never once saw these contorted faces though-did she show that in her vid as well; cause I don’t remember that
Good vid yourself; glad I ran across it👍✌️
Wow truly an unseen detail there faces in the entire body and clothing of the abductors
3:59 unbelievable I never noticed that at all
That's a very well-hidden detail if intentional, especially since I've never seen anyone mention this for the entire time the game's been out. It's apt how it makes even more connections between the Jar Saints and the Gloam-Eyed Queen though!
this clenches it for. Marika put those curses in her own children. Those were her oldest and biggest sins.
Incredible find, you absolutely cooked✨🔥✨🔥
We need more Gloam Eyed Queen Lore
When you showed me this in free cam I was like *This cant be real*
So glad you got this out there. What a find almost 3 years later.
Fire knight armor has almost the exact same intertwining golden snakes. And the rolled cape on the shoulders reminds me of the virgins
I swear I was just congratulating you for 4K subs 😂 over 6 and counting, way to go brother! Keep the awesome revelations coming, cheers! 🍻
Thanks man
Very impressed that you observed this.
Loved this video, please explore more on this
the "Gloam Eyed Queen" is a retrospective title for Marika :D
Fascinating. Time to throw the entire base game back under the microscope I guess 🤷🏻♀️
I believe they could be an advancement of the "spirit in stone" technique; "Spirit in metal".
Important to remember that there was no death for a long period in the lands between. They don’t talk a lot about how new life was made during those times.
This all just feels like the Heineken thing from DS2
Gael's cape (DS3) and The Pursuer's armor (DS2) are other instances of faces on the clothes. I wonder if there are others I missed.
OOooooo
Whoa, great find!
That's an amazing find!
I leave my hopes of understanding "oh clinging creature, a king relinquishes not the hand" with you.
from the clinging bone fist weapon you get from ensha btw
Cool video, thank you!
This is nuts. Mind-blowing
The big thing here is the possible Godskin-Carian connection... BUT HOW??? 🤔🤔🤔
Godslayer greatsword at radahns tower, finger slayer blade discovered by Ranni, and Rykard protecting the Duo + a monk
The entire game seems to be an exploration of the consequences of the alchemical injunction "solve et coagula." Individuals are used as raw material in the schemes and machinations of other individuals, but it's an abomination and the curses pile up.
what if that is the last secret of the base game Miyazaki talked about ? Incredible discovery
Fun fact, the pattern around the waist of the abductor virgins matches the pattern on the living great jars.
THE BABY IS YOU!.
Dont forget that the grafted scions have the same/similar marks on their foreheads
The black flame sigil looks like metyr I think as well
U should watch into Berserk and how they tried to create gods. IT's so similar to jar stuffing etc
great find! very interesting....
Based!! Good morning chummer... This is gonna be a strange one, isn't it 👀👀
Oh, I just had a bad thought.
So her bring a passing candidate to follow as an ending (though a bad ending overall)
so basically mesmer is john snow?
Also, Boc mentions early on that his mother was a seamstress. I think he is referring to the Gloam-eyed Queen, who possessed [some of] the threads of fate, and Marika stole them for her own purposes. Either that, or he is referring to Marika, who acted as a 'seamstress of fate' after she took the threads. Either way, many of the female figures in ER seem to me to be based on the Norns of Norse mythology, three of whom were giants (the number of female giants in ER).
I wish the Godskins should be in the pot village instead of the potentates for skinning the shamens
I think the Gloam Eyed queen lived in Mt. Gelmir
