These guys were rising fast to the top of the Sleaze pile. They were up against LA Guns, Bullet Boys, the mighty GnR. In this song you can hear every facet of their sound. Blues, rock and metal fused together. Great band.
My mom was kind enough to buy me this cassette from Target in 1990. I was just 9. It changed my life. I still have this cassette too, btw. To this day, it's still a favorite rock album of mine. Queen of the nile, Outlaw, Scared, Teasn Pleasn, what else could you ask for? Thank you so much DT!
These guys were so raw when they came out with this - it was a unique sound that no one else had, and it's one of the few albums from that era that I hear now, 35 years later, and still get pumped up when it comes on.
i'm a 90s kid and was not born when they played, so feel the same. But stick to it, it'll stay with you and make you unique in a good way :D When I was 19 I went to some of the shows for the first time and was happy those people were still alive and playing :D youtube was just unfolding, so it felt great to discover these things :) Now i'm almost 31 and just creating my battle jacket (so happy to have found the Dangerous Toys patch, I couldn't believe it :D)
Best era of rock music in history. I wish I can relive these days. They made songs that made sense. You could hear the words and we tailgated like crazy. Ill never forget these days.
WOW, you must set the bar pretty fucking low to say this is the *Best era of rock music in history* "You could hear the words and tailgated like crazy." Yep, those are definitely the two prerequisites to defining the best eras of rock music.
We LOVE Dangerous Toys and Jason McMaster so much. Incredible band, so many amazing songs. And McMaster is a LEGEND and one of the nicest guys in rock. We just released a UA-cam video where we talk about their greatest songs!!!
THE most underrated band from the hair metal era. Jason had as much frontman charisma and stage presence as Diamond Dave, and that's saying something. Scott Dalhover is a MONSTER guitarist, as well. Sure wish they'd gone farther.
They still play and kick ass. Jason stood in with Accept, and Saturday 1/6/24 played with the band he was in back in the day in San Antonio. Watchtower
Jason is the definition of rock n roll. He knows a million people but he remembers your name. Scott took me for a ride in his corvette one time. Scared me.
Glad I got to see them live in 91' on the OPERATION ROCK'N'ROLL tour with a great line-up that included Motorhead, Alice Cooper, Judas Priest, and Metal Church \m/
I saw Dangerous Toys, Tora Tora open for LA Guns in Rockford, Illinois. What a show. Jason McMasters came out and hung with the fans after they played. What a line up and show. Need a Time Machine
I’m a 14 year old girl and I really have a love for this kind of music. I would really love to start a band one day but I fear on how much hate I would get from some people that were raised when this type of music was out. Al the teenage bands I’ve seen have been mostly been hated my an older generation just because they “try hard” to sound as if they were from another generation or from another band.

one Night Before the Show at Grinders in KC I asked Jason to sign my Dangerous Toys Tat He said come back at the end. I did and He did. Had it inked the next morning. Pretty Cool. No One does it Better!
Yes. Awesome band, especially the DT debut album. Amazing vocals, style, raw sound, cool sleazy look. Great stuff. This album still has a cool sound to this day. Masterpiece debut.

I saw these guys open for Judas Priest, Alice Cooper, Motorhead and Metal Church on the Operation Rock & Roll Tour. The crowd did not did them, but I liked them. A few years I saw them in a small club. And they crammed enough amplifiers to play a stadium into that club. That was the loudest show I ever attended even with earplugs. I felt my jeans vibrate.
The way i usually turn on the younger persons on to bands like this is by playing it in the car. Like when i take my Son to this bbq spot we like an hour away. Or my Daughter and her gaggle of fraggles for ice cream. See i figured that you never show the video first. If they see the way the dudes looked they'll assume it's corny and tune out. Just play it for them. Then when they're hooked....show them the hair and spandex. Lmfao.

The fun of a glam band, the look of a thrash band, and the groove of classic southern rock.

Yeah, one of the strongest first albums around.
This and Scared were 2 of the best songs to come out of this era, very underrated band
"Demon Bell" is my favorite. I think they made up the lyrics as a joke, but it still fucking ROCKS!
Outlaw is rocking fuckin song!

This whole album kicks serious ass.
How about Bones in The Gutter? That song has the heaviest and most badass guitar/bass combo of the album!!
