Just to let you know, with all the advice you give on your channel, i have dropped 5 shots in my handicap, I'm now playing 18, thank you so much, i will keep on watching all your videos xx
Thank you, thank you, thank you….. After using your techniques in this video, my driver slice has dramatically improved to the extent that I’m no longer in the rough or out of bounds 😃 Having the confidence on the tee box and Hitting the fairways with my driver every time has reduced my handicap and made me fall in love with the game again. Thank you again for these simple but very effective techniques and keep up the good work with these videos 😊
I've lost my golf swing 😢 and to make things worse I'm a high handicapper. I've been watching so many videos trying to figure out what I am doing wrong? Yours is the first video that has been so helpful. I know now that I have really screwed up my grip trying to over correct. I can't wait to hit my driver with my correct grip and back to the basic fundamentals of the right alignment. 😊. Thank you for your easy to understand instructions.
Thanks again Georgia, i have taken such a lot from this video, I recently had a new driver (fitted) and these videos have been essential viewing for me. I had to smile when you did the demo at the end, ball straight down the middle of what looked like a narrow fairway. Brilliant.
thanks yet again Georgia, appreciate all your great advice ,playing tomorrow afternoon after work , 🤗 hope you've a lovely weekend by way your bunker tips really helped, thanks a mill
Good video. With my transition, at the top of my backswing I initiate a slight shift of weight from the inside of my trail foot to my lead side. Combined with a “feel” that my lead (left) hip is rotating around/back/up similar to where my trail (right) hip was - I don’t think about the trail hip at all, I just let it flow. If you place an alignment stick at approximately 45 degrees from the tee/ball it provides a good guide to gauge if your swing is on the correct in-to-out path. When I took up golf, for the first 12 months I had a lot of problems with a slice (all clubs) and it had nothing to do with swing path. I thought I had a text book perfect neutral grip, it looked like I did, but didn’t. I had both my thumbs running down the centre of the grip/shaft. No one told me, and very few teach this, but unless your left thumb falls to the right side of the centre of the grip, and the right thumb falls to the left side of the centre of the grip when you grip the club with a neutral grip, your club face can involuntarily open when you strike the ball. Try this - take a neutral grip of the club (thumbs aligned down the centre of the grip. Extend your arms naturally straight out in front, then extend them a little further (which simulates extension on ball strike) and the club face will open, significantly. Do the same exercise again with the thumbs left to right etc on the grip and the club face will not move - ever
In golf, the body always tries to restore equilibrium. Make backswing too steep, downswing will be too flat and vice versa. Lean too far back in backswing, body will go too forward during downswing and vice versa. Stand too near/low in backswing, body will stand up during downswing and vice versa. Same goes for every movement.
Hi Geogia, another great explanation. The driver is one club I can't hit. I tend to use the 3 wood instead. I'll give these few tips a go. Cheers from Aus. 😀👍👍
“Grip, brush, hips” 😂 did that today in a 9-holes round. I think I repeated to myself like 100 times. At least none of the went to the trees. Awesome tip!
Good beginner tips Georgia. So many golfers I see need to sort the basics out. I think you mean intermediate target rather than immediate target though😂
This is the first time I've seen any of your lessons. This was the great one, thanks! I can't wait to use it tomorrow on the course. PS. I love your accent too and the phrase "straight away", but, what's a pooter? 😉
My tip for the grip, as a terrible golfer, is to take your grip, close your eyes, relax so that the grip feels neutral and then look and see if the club face is square. Adjust your grip until you can repeat the process and the club stays square.
I’m a leftie with a terrible slice off the tee, I’ve tried so many fixes that I’ve lost count of them and none seem to work consistently. So I’ll give this a go tomorrow and see how it goes. 🤞🤞
@@georgiaballgolferResults from todays round, 11 drives on fairway or first cut (unbelievable) 2 sliced badly but playable from other fairway ( my fault for opening the club face on backswing) and 1 drive into the rough ( found and playable) I’ll take that every day😊. Now, any tips for long putting distance control ? Thank you 👏👏👏
I always feel uncomfortable in the transition from the top to the downswing.. like i have to "turn my hands over" to make good contact but it never seems to work.going golfing in a few days.any other advice on that would be greatly appreciated.thank you
Hmm, there are some key things such as distance from the ball (a major struggle for me as too close means you struggle to get the hips out of the way, too far and your reaching and more likely to slice etc.) and position of where ball, where the end of club is pointing at address (pointing too high will cause issues, as well as pointing too low), elbows as well - how they point. Maybe this is why im shite - overthinking 😂
@@georgiaballgolfer all the basics I'm good with and have check points. It's the little nuances of the swing ruining it for me. For example, leaning over too much or standing too straight, wrist hinging...and so on. Just constantly overthinking. Ah well, the joys of golf!
Thanks for the video. But how do i hit my driver higher? I average about 180m with my driver with a sort of penetrating flight, but on the occasions that i hit it higher up, it only goes around 100m 😔
Please may I ask you how tall you are Georgia? Just curious about the club length as I struggle with a driver. I feel more confident with my hybrid or irons tbh ❤
Great advice Georgia, have already been trying all this with great improvement. The only thing I would add is tempo, maybe you could do a video on this, I am swinging slower and its going straighter, and longer🏌🏻
Nice job explaining every step as simple as possible. Thank you.
Georgia, you have gotten so much better with your explanations now as compared to when you first started. Great job !!!
Thank you very much! Still learning 😊⛳️

Great video!! Would have loved to see you do the full swing 2-3 times + 1 in slow motion. Will try this tomorrow!!
Great suggestion! Thanks for watching 😊
Nice, I'm gonna give this a try tomorrow. My takeaway in particular needs work!
You got this! 😊⛳️

My backswing is ok its trying hinge my hips on the downswing is where i struggle

I got my driver an inch shorter and I’m hitting the ball more consistently and only lost 6 yards.
Nice! Thanks for sharing 😊⛳️
That hole looks quite narrow. I hit the ball straight off the tee but would still be nervous looking up that fairway.
Thanks for watching Jim ⛳️ really appreciate it 😊
