When my game goes through a slump. I always refer back to easiest swing and the 6 fundamentals. I go to the range and reset myself. I then go to the course and always take one club more than I think on my approaches to greens. It always brings me back to control and tension free and surprisingly long. Love the content.
I thank you for your content! At 63 I have seen my distance slip over the last few years. With your relaxed method of moving the club I now have regained most of that distance back and with much less back problems. Thank you! Also, Is this not the same course that Danny Maude teaches from?
Hi Sean, I love your videos! You’ve helped my game so much. My issue is I can make a nice big turn back with my lead foot off the ground, but the turn forward is often a disaster. I usually pull or slice the ball because I feel like I’m turning forward with my trail shoulder and finishing with my weight on my trail foot. Can you explain how to turn forward properly or do a video on that? I don’t know if I should use my lead leg or trail leg to get my weight onto the lead foot. I practice the SLX drill daily but I rarely make a good forward swing on the golf course. Thank you!
I can relate very clearly to this comment. I also feel that my forward swing results in a pull shot and I don’t understand why … any advice would be greatly appreciated, thanks.
Well Done Mr. Herron! I have to admit, I am probably part of your 99% senior group a lot of the time. I like the La Danse du Golf move that you so well demonstrated in order to get the proper movement in the golf swing.
Great information very well presented. Thanks Sean! May I place some emphasis on one point you make that every golfer will find useful and may be golf- changing for some? That is your comment that one turns from and to the target! NOT the ball! Becoming “ball bound,” which, by the way, is a very natural result of modern teaching, is the cause of so much tension that results in poor golf and injuries. When we understand that we swing the club to the target, not to the ball, we are on the way to a free and easy swing that creates more energy with less effort, and saves our backs and joints from the harmful effects of tension and strain. Don’t hit the ball; propel the ball to the target with nature’s we most efficient energy generator- a swing!
I dabble with other golf methods and always come back to Easiest Swing. Not only is it easy on the body but also aesthetically pleasing to look at. I would be very happy just for my golf swing to look like this - score regardless!
This was an excellent video and well worth watching several times. To me it seems quite mechanically correct and very useful. Thank you for this fine portrayal of the “pivot”. Also I would say you have adhered closely to Brian’s original approach. Cheers FJN ( Authorized Instructor “ The Golfing Machine “.
Great vid Sean thank you.iys the 'unlearning process' that is so challenging - 60 years of 'head down' and 'heel planted' takes some uprooting. But onward and upward👍👍👍
This makes so much sense! Old videos of the 'smoothest swing ever' Sam Snead show him lifting his left heel off the ground! And his head does move back slightly as his body turns.
If you have a flat inside takeaway then you’re not turning your body as discussed. Watch the video again and pay attention to where Sean’s arms are, against the sides of his body on the takeaway. If you do this you cannot get flat and inside.
If that’s where the club wants to swing and your shots are better carry on - Brian (ES founder) always said the ball doesn’t know where you took the club back! We believe too many “methods” put too much emphasis on this and force golfers to swing in a contrived way rather than their own natural way
That’s usually down to weight shift. Make sure you get onto your front foot and finish the swing fully. We have some videos on both these points check them out. 👍
Good point! Séan did say lead heel on the first occasion but I think, in concentrating on his point, he forgot to continue. We will keep trying to use lead and trail rather than left and right going forward. Thanks for bringing it to our attention
Over these past few years, I've noticed my swing speed and distance diminish a lot. Much to attribute to arthritis as well. I'll definitely give this a try with my Advil, lidocaine patch, and Voltaren applications. I'll find out on Friday! Thanks
I can’t seem to hit the ball solidly… usually topping it half the time. I make better contact with stiff left arm or else I over swing but it feels super stiff and hard to rotate as much without bending my arm more. Any suggestions for us hackers that over swing and can’t hit the ball consistently?
Have a go at a practice session with a half sized backswing but full follow through with all of it at half speed then rid yourself of the tension. I guarantee the ball won’t go half distance - be prepared to be shocked with the results. Good luck 👍
Yes indeed - a straight left arm at the top has been a myth for too long that causes unnecessary strain and tension. You don’t have to deliberately bend it just remove any intention to keep it straight and just relax it. If it bends a little that’s fine. Be prepared to be surprised at the results!
The heel will lift in response to the turn, it is not forced to lift. Equally it should not be forced to remain planted to the ground. Done correctly, you should sense a release of tension from the restriction of having it planted.
Thanks. Appreciate your reply. Must try to let it just happen. My experience is that planting my heel on the downswing typically causes me somehow to early extend. I’m often guilty of overthinking!!!
The first stage of fixing that is “awareness” so you are on the right track - by following our videos and learning to trust some additional movement you can start to build your swing back up. Your number one enemy is tension so bit by bit look to reduce tension. Good luck 👍
You appear to stay quite upright though out the swing, so I guess you’re raising and lowering your arms and matching your timing…a bit like UA-cam’s Paul Wilson’s staying ’loose’ with the wrists, which works wonderfully when I’m able to trust it…
The device is nothing like a Swing Caddy or Hole in One but his movement is really similar to Easiest Swing - it is great to see other coaches professing movement and ease. This was what Brian wanted - for more coaches around the world to get away from technical coaching and help golfers find a more natural way. Thanks for posting this it is really helpful to know we are not a lone voice.
As we lift our left heel during back swing, body starts swaying - impossible to prevent! This disastrous sway is root cause of all the problems in terms of inconsistency. Very few professionals might be doing this - they are exceptional! This is not for big majority of pros & amateurs.
@@Easiestswing Nice. Looked like a swing that sent the ball 150 yards. Very impressive. Would love to have that distance, especially with so little apparent effort. When/where is your next course?

That is wonderful to hear Kevin! Remain relaxed and keep swinging with ease.
Excellent presentation! Have focussed on this for the last few years and what a difference! I'm 82 and typically drive the ball 200 yards.
Well done that’s so good to hear and inspiring to other golfers 👍

Yes Danny films much of his content here too.

Thank you - having played the game for 56 years and tried just about every type of technique I can assure you this is a much easier way to play.

Cheers, not having played for 4 months you have given me the enthusiasm to get out there, the days are getting warmer here so thanks once again
Great stuff Robbie - as we are just going into winter here we are very jealous! 😂
Thank you for showing how to produce the easiest swing.
It looks so easy to do.
Cheers Alan - always appreciated! 👍

Just Outstanding Danny boy, thank you so much! Going to start working that movement asap!
Brilliant - wait till you see the results! 🚀 👍

Thanks Paul glad it makes sense to you - hope you’ll enjoy our other videos too each is complimentary with the other.
Thanks. Stiff man like me can use this easy swing and have a good game. Thanks again.
Absolutely - and your game should improve too!
Always enjoy your advice Sean.
You're very welcome and I'm glad to help!
Excellent as always, Sean!
Thank you!
Great video. I struggled for years with a to tense of a swing with no power. Now I know what I have to do. thanks!
Happy to help!
Lovely video for a senior golfer
Wonderful, it seems to be a no brainier! Thank you for sharing.
Glad you liked it Giles. 👍

I've found it helps so well with sweeping driver & hybrids, but struggling to compress irons.

Good vid. Had this very issue today.
Perfect timing for you then! Good luck with it - it WILL work!
Excellent video
Thank you very much! 👍
Thank you
You're welcome - glad you liked it
Great video as always. I'm a lefty and understand that I "translate" left leg to right, but why not use the term "lead leg"?
Good point! Séan did say lead heel on the first occasion but I think, in concentrating on his point, he forgot to continue. We will keep trying to use lead and trail rather than left and right going forward. Thanks for bringing it to our attention
Or u could either just translate it or just play righty..i think in the old days they said lefties were spoiled by their moms
Nice champ
Ty
Fantastic 👍
Thank you! Much appreciated!! 🙏
excellent
Many many thanks 🙏
Great lesson on hip turn but if you only hit the ball 190 ydds and now have an 8 or 9 iron to the flag a big turn is not needed
Hopefully a bigger turn gets you over two hundred and just a wedge instead!
And that's what pga tour guys do. They always lift their left heel. Thanks for this.
Do a quick search on how many major champions throughout history lifted their lead heel 😉
I would like to know the movement of the arms in that swing that you teach.

@@Easiestswing Outstanding, thank you so much. Glad I subscribed to your channel 😁 Best advice I've heard in years
Probably a silly question. Is there a specific point that you lift your heel. I try this but end up just thinning shots😢😢
Enjoy your videos.

Here's another golf instructor who advocates your easy golf swing method and avoid back issues! ua-cam.com/video/Fx5yPbrunLk/v-deo.html
Thank you - it is so good to see other (especially younger) pros discovering this too.
My gosh, that’s what my swing has become! Short tight back swing

Hope you love the improvement 👍
Dance de golf
La Danse du Golf = the dance of golf. This was the name Brian’s French clientele called the move when he coached there in the 80s and 90s.
Looks like you’re standing up going back?
That’s not something we advocate, however, Brian always suggested that too much movement is better than not enough.
You’re not really moving your hips, but rather dancing with your feet 🦶 and legs…you’re simply turning your whole body using your feet…
Indeed we always say that the movement starts from the bottom up
X-factor = 0????
@@kmwong5348bad back=x factor
Whatever you wanna call it, it works. Don’t criticize it unless you try it.😊. I use it. It works great for me as a senior golfer..
If you really pay attention to the video, he’s talking about turning your body and using your feet, the result is your hips and shoulders will turn.
Lifting my heel feel unnatural
Allow it to happen as a result of your turn - don’t force it to happen independently
👏👏👏👍💪💯
Glad you loved it!
This Orange Whip warmup looks familiar! 🤔 ua-cam.com/video/_AlEelqkEdw/v-deo.html

Well said…
Limiting natural movement makes golf harder than it needs to be
6:30 How far did it go…?
We didn’t have a tracker on that one but playing with Séan a few times has shown that he normally drives in the 260-280 (yards) range.
