thanks so much Georgia, will put into practice on Saturday at comp with people haven't played before, always find it nervous ,teeing off with the "crowd" watching
Took these tips onto the course yesterday with amazing results I realised that my alignment was always pointing right when i thought I was straight. So simple and effective ,…. Thankyou Georgia
Hello from Lodi, California. I appreciate all your videos, they are very helpful and have made me a better player. My handicap has improved and my playing partners see the improvement. Thanks so much! ❤
I love watching your vids… you keep it simple & straight forward. You never patronise the viewers & you’re always so encouraging 😍 Thank you so much ⛳️💕
Great video. You analyze the swing procedure very well. What I see some players do is take their “lesson” swings to the course. Forever! By that I mean they use every lesson step for stance, lineup, practice swing(s), etc. for their game tee shot. At some point, they need to speed up play and truncate some of those steps as a matter of advancing their skills. Especially with a tee shot starting a hole with driver, a wide open fairway and minimal trouble spots. So I guess knowing when to move on/up from the “lesson” setup to the “play” setup is a crucial step to take in the learning curve; basically to help focus now on pace of play. You helped with this, tacitly, at the end of the video. That was great.
Great video Georgia, nice and clear explanation with easy to remember visuals, it would be great to see some videos on the club releases in the swing for pitching within 75yd and chipping around the green, when to add spin and when to let it roll out, Finally the mental game and shot selection
As a newbie with only a few lessons under my belt I’ve loved watching your videos but I’m in my 60s with limited rotation due to a bad back and arms that can’t extend as well as your videos show. Ive got 7 iron to 80+ yards but frustrated that some balls are more like croquet than golf ! What tips do you have for oldies and newbies like me who can’t turn as well as younger golfers. Maybe you can do a video for people like me.
Another great video Georgia. Your explanations are so easy to grasp with no BS that I always wonder why I couldn’t suss out the technique required myself 😁 As always u have helped my game. Thank you. Chris from The Wirral
everything you talk about i have learnt in the last 6 months through a combination of lessons and trial and error. 90% fairway now and longer. Amateur golfers just get alignment so wrong
Hi Georgia, you asked for ideas, yes - a vid on shanking would be good, especially shots up to 100 yds and even down to 30 yds. I think mine is in to out !
What I don’t exactly understand is that when the ball i placed in line with your left foot heel. In that position I think that the club head i already turning left when it hits the ball. In someway you need to compensate that with your body movement. Am I thinking totally wrong? 🙂 Great videos you have here. Thank you very much.
Great question! You’re right that when the ball is placed near your left heel (for right-handed golfers), the club head will already be moving slightly left due to the natural arc of the swing. However, that’s exactly why we place the ball forward in the stance - for an upward angle of attack as opposed to hitting down on the ball with a club like a 7 iron 😊
@@georgiaballgolfer Thanks for the answer. Ok, so the hit will be hit up and slightly cutting the ball towards left. Wouldn’t it be easier to place the ball in the middle if the stance for a straight hit and have a loft on the driver that give a higher ball flight? Or are that taking away the hole sense with the driver?? 🙂
Perfect tipps again 💕 thank you so much, I am hitting the driver so much better thanks to your Videos, Please do some Videos on Hybrids and fairway Woods and the Short Game.
Thanks for the tips. I am a senior golfer and now spend more time in mental side of the game. One question. After a deep breath, do you hold the breath throughout the swing? Currently I am holding breath when I pitch, chip, and but can’t tell what I do with other shots. I know there is no right answer but just curious what you do.
@@georgiaballgolfer That felt like a good step forward. I even did the club out in front with my irons to stop hooking it. I will try it again on the Strathtyrum later today. Thanks again, Georgia.
Super video. I would always follow your video, thank you very much for your dedicated work. May you give some advice to hit 8-iron to be straight and get about 160y since I am scare of long iron. Best wishes for you, little miss.
I've given up on the "special K" stance to hit up on the ball. I've just cranked up the elevation on the hosel a degree or so. My stance remains the same. Distance is unchanged more or less and in this year's sodden conditions I get the ball up in the air everytime. My issue is timing and this worsens with changes in stance.
Fantastic tips Georgia, I could do with showing your video to the lads at my society.... loads of them make all 3 mistakes 🤷🏼♂️🤦🏼♂️😂.... Just off for a round around Royal BOOTLE so see you later 😂👍🏻⛳️
Great stuff. For some reason people just can’t or won’t take the time to do this. I have coached HS girls on this stuff but as soon as I turn away they are back to their old ways. They just don’t want to believe how important this is😢
Great video! As always, you provide all the information clearly without any assumptions. Too many instructional videos out there gloss over important details that we need to learn - assuming we already "know", or cram in too much details/fluff that we can't remember or really isn't suited for everyone. I also really appreciate your calming demeanor. My drive has been my weak point lately, looking forward to going back to the basics and getting back on track! Thanks again from USA! 🏌♀⛳
Before I put the tee in the ground I try and find a spot where my feet feel like they are on level ground . Then I place the tee where I think it should be at driver address
Hi Georgia...you are so much fun to watch and your instruction is superb!!!
