This, by far, was one of the best videos on being a signing agent I’ve seen thus far. Very detailed and gave me more confidence!! Thanks tremendously 💙
Hi Terika, I am having a zoom meeting today (Sunday July 12) to go over loan documents. It starts at 2:30PM EST . My email is anneefields@yahoo.com if you'd like to join us send me your email address.
Although I have been a Notary for almost 20 years, the Signing Agent aspect is all very new to me. Thank you for such an informative and straight forward video!
I'm in the process of becoming a notary*, and I'm learning the field before hand, from different sources. But Anne Fields' workshop is REALLY helping me at being more confident and less stressed out about all this already. Thank you, Mrs. Fields!
This was beautifully done. I am inspired and I learned a lot. I will definitely use the summarize the documents in one sentence advice a long with so many other golden nuggets. Appreciate your presentation 😊. Be blessed 🙏🏽
Thank you, that was an excellent presentation. I’m a notary in MD and just passed my Title Insurance License Exam. Trying to get everything needed to begin. I just ordered the NNA Bible! Such great info!
Thanks for this informative presentation, Ann. You really presented step-by-step what to expect in the Notary Signing, especially useful for beginners. Teacher qualities.
This was Extremely helpful. thank you for posting this video. I have watched so many videos researching trying to l everything I can .I am brand new and this was straight and to the point and amazing information that I will never forget.
This is a great video! I really love this Channel! Such a wealth of information for Newbies yet simple enough for most to comprehend and retain. Keep up the great work NNA, you are greatly appreciated.
Your video was so excellent! I learned so much more from you than others! I'm glad I saw it and I'm planning to incorporate everything you explained . I will probably watch your video again to make sure I retained everything. Thank you, Cheryl Richman
Most of the jobs on signing order seem to pay the same, 38 page closing or Reverse Mortgage 277 pages, both pay 75 to 90 dollars. Seems odd to me. Also, why do they wait to the last moment to get a Notary signing agent?
Great reinforcement. I am sharing this video to my notary training workshop page as reinforcement to my past and future students. Thank you very much for sharing your experience!
WOW....the tremendous amount of valuable and insightful information you share is incredibly wonderful...especially considering you're providing this with the intent to help others, be it new or veteran notaries in this industry. Even if someone took just 1 piece of info that could prove beneficial I REALLY have a difficult time comprehending why anyone would give this video a thumbs down...simply boggles my mind considering you're devoting your time, effort, and info to help others.....thanks sincerely for all the wonderful info and there's lots of info here I can apply to my notary business....God Bless, Timothy.
Thank you so much! I learned alot from your video. Im in Maryland ans working on my prelicensing couse. I am inspired by your tips and insight. Thank you again.
Thanks so much for doing this, I have taken plenty of notes! And I agree, a mentor is a must! Being a newbie I really need to find one here in WA state. Keep on rocking Anne! :)
This was very helpful, informative, packed full of information. Thank you. I've used a mobile notary several times and am now at a stage where I'm ready to do what I've wanted to do 10 years ago. Great job! I'd really like to learn more from you!
I am notary in California commissioned just recently. I haven't been able to grab a single business of signing yet though I have already signed up on several signing websites. In the meantime, I would love to know how I can get business of signing at facilities such as hospital, jails etc.
Loved this presentation! I had so many questions on how to be a successful signing agent and Anne answered every one! Thank you, Anne! I am new to the business and looking for a mentor as well. I am in CA. You mentioned you used to work in CA. I am willing to work hard and would love any advice you have to share.
Your tips are golden. Thanks so much for sharing! And I second your choice of the Fujitsu scanner. I have the S1500M for Mac and it's still going strong since 2012.
You will need to be a Signing Agent in order to receive this type of work. Becoming a certified NSA makes you eligible to receive more RON assignments and ensures RON technology providers you've passed a current background screening.
You mentioned you are in Indiana. I am as well. Could you offer information on how to acquire the TPL? I have my NNA NSA certification. The final piece is the TPL and I'm having issues locating the access to training and testing. I'd appreciate any info you might have on this subject. Thank you so much for this amazing helpful information.
Notary Signing Agents in Indiana must take an approved 10-hour pre-licensing course through the Indiana Land Title Association and apply to become a title insurance producer in order to conduct home loan signings. In addition to these licensing requirements, licensees must complete 14 hours of continuing education requirement during the 4-year license term. www.indianalandtitle.org
Does it really matter if it’s a laser printer? I have a brothers that uses ink bottles. My wife likes to print pictures. But I’ve always used it for real estate transactions when I needed to, and it’s been fine. But I was just wondering if having a laser was really that big of a deal because I hear it all the time on these different notary videos.
Wow! Thank you for this valuable information! I’ve watched countless videos on this subject and there are some good ones out there but your video was direct, clear and to the point.
This was a great video! So much information, thank you! Quick question, as far as simple notary signings go, how do you handle your payment methods? Do you accept cash only, do you use a Square for credit cards payments? Any help on this is appreciated!
Ok, getting in a little late, but I love this and loved loved loved the video. I want to go all in. Do you have a video on the start up? 1. Get Bond through surety company. 2 Apply for Notary with State (what is errors and omission) 3. Get educated on loan docs (what program would you recommend)?

Good Day: Thank you for sharing your knowledge and insights. I have a couple of Questions (1) Which Brother model of printer did you use? You also mentioned some other resources I didn't quite catch in the beginning. You offered great information which I will implement once I get started. I am waiting for Long Island to open so that I can take notary exam so am taking this time to learn as much as I can.
Hi Corliss, Thank you for watching my presentation. I bought a Brother 6200DWT Dual Tray. I also had bought a Fugitsu ScanSnap Scanner. I would start out with the printer and splurge on the scanner in a few months. If you need anything I'd be happy to help you. Google me in Brownburg, IN. Good luck!...….. also, when you put your resume together to include "Loan Signing Agent" be sure to put in there "NNA Certified"....that will make you more credible :)
Great Information, Thank you! I saw that she listed NJ as a state that requires an additional license to become a loan signing agent the "Third Party Liability" i did not see this on the NNA site. Is this true? Does NJ require it? What is it needed for?
I have done some research and I am pretty sure they are talking about Errors and Omissions Insurance. I have a $100,000 policy and it costs $52 per year through the NNA.
I'm not sure but it may be these I found on the NNA site. Super helpful! Thanks @National Notary Association and Ms. Fields! www.nationalnotary.org/knowledge-center/signing-agent-resources/notary-signing-agent-loan-documents
