What is ASMR?
ASMR stands for Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response. It's a non-scientific word that an everyday person came up with to describe the feeling characterized as a pleasurable tingling sensation felt in the head, scalp, back and other regions of the body in response to visual, auditory, tactile, olfactory, and/or cognitive stimuli, such as crinkling bags, hand movements, whispering, personal attention or watching someone perform a task. It's like goosebumps but much more pleasant and without the uncomfortable chills.
ASMR videos are meant to intentionally induce this sensation in the viewer, often referred to as "tingles", but the videos also serve to provide a relaxing, calming and soothing experience for the viewer. Many people who do not experience ASMR still enjoy the videos for their calming and sleepy effect. - Розваги

wgat if jus face fits the inside of the mask like he actually has a beak but it's not a hard beak like normal it's basically just a beak like fleshy mouth made of scar tissue

I imagine under his mask is nothingness that humans would perceive as the shape of his head but no light coming off or shadows casted by it and it looks like two frames playing over and over of a black frame and a white frame playing so fast its perceived as a neutral grey
Growing up, I cant say I ever imagined I'd spend my nights as an adult having counselling sessions with a talking crow, dressed as Michael Jackson. But this is my life now. And I'm not even sad about it.

Words can’t describe how much I’ve come to adore this character! His mannerisms, his voice, his freaking awesome masks, he’s just so cool and fun. So cool, in fact, that when I was at a reptile expo a few months ago I made it my mission to find a nice ball python and name him Corvus. And I would have, too, if I had enough money!

Morgan Gobin It's funny, because Corvus means Crow in Latin. So naming a bird Corvus would make much more sense, but naming a snake "Crow" would still be cool though lol

Chris Hawk Actually, it’s odd. Most sources I looked up say corvus is in fact Latin for raven. Only one source said it was Latin for crow. But, the Family corvus does include both crows and ravens, so... who knows.
So I have a theory. Rift’s World is basically a hodge podge of whatever he likes. Lovecraftian Lore, Fallout, Bloodborne, The Walking Dead, Doctor Who, Star Wars, Alien, Predator, Marvel, Half Life etc. So that means there are indeed zombies in this universe. Well what if Corvus is still a plague doctor because everytime we’ve seen him deal with the plague, it wasn’t the Black Plague but the zombie plague instead?
And another theory relating to that one, is that maybe the bombs that caused the Fallout wasteland were failed attempts to get rid of the plague
Dennis Manchester and the detonation of the bombs woke Dave and cathulu and Frank is kinda like Hancock from fallout 4 he’s a zombie/Goul but has control of his condition also Corvus is straight up a time lord

Beaking is always a favorite even if it's short. I found it a bit odd when I first watched a video including it, but it's become almost synonymous with the doktor for me. It's a gesture unique to him, so clearly intended to be comforting. It doesn't even need to make noise at this point. The gesture alone is just such an endearing part of his personality.

Actually you're not wrong skull, the masks generally had two noes holes which would as a 'respirator' of sorts. Then on the inside were pockets in which they could put dried flowers ( Roses, carnations {lavender too sometimes}) or some sort of herbs (mint) or spices (camphor or vinegar sponges)... Sorry for the history lesson and long rant 😅 but I like this kind of stuff very fascinating

when i first started watching asmr i was so grateful to be one of the ones able to get tingles. ive been watching asmr for around 5 years. ive loved this channel from its early days and rift you always always were one of my top 3. i stopped getting tingles probably a year ago so i dont watch asmr as much as i used to. i stopped looking forward to your videos, which is weird. i went another way. glad to say my break is over and im here as fuck for the plague doctor. always have been and now im kind of excited to have a ton of videos to watch to catch up on. glad to be back n i wanted u to know that you are really the best. being this creative for years, being consistent and authentic. props to you for being a genuinely interesting human being.

Surprisingly out of all the ASMRists I’ve watched the plague doctor Corvus can make me relaxed and ready for bed. Might be the goofiness and care or the way his voice sounds in the mask

These really do help I may even be able to stop taking medicine to be able to sleep and just listen to these a bit before I go to bed, I done so without taking the medication and I was trying to stay awake and I was able to stay asleep

The plague doctor has got to be one of the best ASMR characters out there. It's ridiculous how perfect you play him. It's as if you were a plague doctor in a past life.
Everything about him is exquisite to say the least. The accent, the little dark humour jokes, the occasional "my friend".
