Thank you for your honest review - and your editing is great! To be honest, although I am quite dedicated to working out, as a complete beginner in dance, I found certain aspects of even the simplest sessions to be occasionally challenging, bordering on frustrating. I would have appreciated more guidance and clearer indicators on when I might be prepared for subsequent sessions, or where exactly to begin, aside from the training sessions themselves. Overall, however, I must say it's a rather impressive app. :)
I think that makes a lot of sense. The classes in the app is taught almost exactly like they teach their group fitness programs, but I think VR reach an audience that doesn't have that experience and are looking for other things when it comes to guidance :) I hope you keep at it though! You'd be surprised how fast muscle-memory kicks in ;)
I am sure it's something that will be addressed. I know the moves and choreo is a lot more complicated that other VR games; I am sure it was done as a way to balance it :)
@VikingPrincessVR I like it so far. It is addictive. I'm a terrible dancer, but I was actually able to do some of the moves. The method they use to teach the moves seems very effective.
Thanks for the detailed review, and your perspective as a long time Les Mills fan. I hope they figure out how to make the target decals more visible without needing to look down or to your left and right. Currently they're too close to your body, and if you're watching the instructor and your silhouette (behind the instructor), you can't see the target decals at all unless they're near the top of your chest. I also hope they let us swap (or otherwise adjust) the decal colors soon, too. I'm so used to a pink-on-the-right and blue-on-the-left color scheme from Synth Riders, so it throws me off that they're reversed in this game. (I made Beat Saber match my Synth Riders colors too, because SR is where all my color-muscle-memory comes from.)
I completely agree with you!!! I also don't like how the targets seem to follow you - I kept backing up and out of the playspace to get more room between me and the targets 🤣 These points are all wonderful feedback. O hope you consider sharing them in the Discord (link in description) as well 💜
If the main problem is it's too easy for someone who's been doing it for a decade, it sounds great to me! Pretty sure I won't find "there's nowhere for me to go" 😃 Of course, I'm twice your age, and 100% new to this. Bring it on!
@lyndagabriel6539 Twice my age is highly unlikely - but I appreciate the compliment 🤣 And it's not that it's too easy - but the scoring system is too forgiving :) Still one of my favorites tho!
They definitely push your limits! I am so up for the challenge tho 💪 And thanks! I was not supposed to workouts in the sweatpants but I just couldn't stop 🤣 I was drenched!!!!
depends on what you mean/are looking for! In terms of design, dunction, musicality, choreography, coaching - then yes! If you are looking for a muscle "burn?" Then No. If you're looming for fun and motivation - then I would say it's even better! But that's based on personal preference ;) What specifically are you looking for right now? I would love to help you in more detail :)
omgosh you are too kind!!! I don't feel very graceful when looking back at VR records - but it's my big joy and passion, so it always make me happy. I am glad that comes through 💜
@@VikingPrincessVRYou are too hard on yourself. A pretty woman can never look as stupid in VR as a man. :) Have a little more self-confidence, because your smile exudes an ancient natural beauty. It's a pleasure to watch you!
Unfortunately, there's not many :/ Check out Dance Central - I am fairly certain you can still get it and there's a free demo. There's just no updates, but the game runs smooth :) I have 2 videos on it if you would like to learn more! There's also the new Samba De Amigo. I've only played it a few times, but enjoy it a lot! It also has a mixed reality mode. You can get 25% off Sama De Amigo here: www.oculus.com/appreferrals/VikingPrincess/5736173679792982/? -- use code FRIENDS :) Another rhythm game that is close to Synth Riders/Beat Saber is Audio Trip; I have a few videos on that one too! Here's the 25% off referral link: www.oculus.com/appreferrals/VikingPrincess/2484044451715693/? Lastly, I did a review on the best rhythm games 2 years ago; most of these are still the best ones out there! You can check out the video here: ua-cam.com/video/giC-HfzJQ34/v-deo.html Let me know what you find!!!
there are ways to play in a smaller space, especially front-to-back. most movements are side to side. but you'll have to do some workarounds if you want mixed reality/passthrough to work
I get it :) but double-check with the Quest policy. Most apps you can return if you have less than 2 hrs of gameplay and within 1 or 2 weeks. So if it's definitely not for you, then you can get your money back :) In my personal opinion, for the cost vs the quality of content and consistent updates (which they have said they will do as they do with Bodycombat) I find the Les Mills apps the best bang for your buck in the fitness category :)
BodyJam is their live fitness class format and not in VR, but the Choreo classes are almost exactly the same format as the BodyJam classes. You get access to all the VR classes plus future updates for the same price/included in the game. I hope that answers your question!
Could the issue re tracking inaccuracy be due to the terrible Quest 3 controllers? I finally caved and ordered a set of pro controllers a few weeks back even though they're not cheap. My earlier Quest 3 VR sessions usually ended after 15-20 mins with me swearing at the controllers, whereas now that the pro controllers have arrived I'm back up to sessions of an hour or more. As someone who really likes rhythm games (and will work up a sweat playing them) but has never found fitness classes particularly interesting, my biggest worry is that this will have too much of a fitness class vibe. Still tempted to pick it up though.
I never had any tracking issues with this game, and I don't really experience any with my Quest 3 controllers. There's definitively a "fitness class" vibe as there's an instructor talking to you most of the time (I swapped out the game-track with the matching songs in this video so that the audio didn't get too messy - but you can still hear it at times). That being said, there is a BIG difference in fitness classes and instructors, and Les Mills classes are the best in the world - for a good reason :) If you're interested in dance, then this is definitely the best option for VR right now :)

If someone walked in on me doing the thrust dance moves they may think I am doing something else in VR 😂.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Make sure to close the curtains 🤣🤣🤣
I'm sold! Thanks for reviewing it.

Entertaining and honest review! Love it! I’ll stick with LM body combat for a while.
It's such a good game! But dance fitness is definitely different from boxing ❤️
Very good review and I like your structure of video how you unpack information - it is very enjoyable :-)
Thank you so much - I really appreciate it 😊
Loving someone reviewed this who speaks English great video review again Tina xx Artful
I am glad you enjoyed it 😊🤗
Your outfit is so cute!! Also, the dance moves in here are hard.

gotta jump into this when i get quest 3
but atm I'm enjoy body combat vr
Dance should run well on Quest 2 as well - as all Q3 games have to be backward compatible with Q2 ;)
But I am so glad you're enjoying Bodycombat!
Fantastic video review! Thank you
Thank you so much, I really appreciate it ☺
Thank you so much!! You're awesome 🤩🙌
NO YOU! 😊😊😊
Does it become a sensor if I wear it on my lower body with the entire trimming?
The game is not programmed to look for foot sensors, so it won't make a difference - at least not yet!
Is it as good as Les mills body combat VR

There is not enough room 2M x 2M at my small apartment . Sad
