Eco-Loop Screw On Funnel

- Looks like it fits on about 90% of the containers I use on a regular basis. I did check it on a 5 gallon bucket at the shop. It does screw on but the soft spout on the bucket feels like it could come off if you knock around too much. I’ll use it for a while and let you all know my final thoughts on the Eco-Loop funnel some time in the future.
Update… A lot of people asked if it fits on gasoline containers. It does not and specifically says not to use with gasoline.

I like how this guy makes fun shorts of showing dumb stuff people do but then also makes full length and comprehensive videos that are actually useful. 10/10 content creator
It’s actually pretty nice that it seals up when not in use. In Auto Tech, they tell you that using a dirty funnel is a big percentage of premature engine failures. It only takes a couple grains of sand or other debris to cause physical damage to the engine and/or block oil passages. A lot of people clean their funnel out with a dirty rag, then just eye it to see if there’s anything on it, but the particles that are smaller than the human eye can visibly see is actually more dangerous to the engine.
Brake-clean your funnel b4 every oil change. 👍 peace of mind ✌ 🧠
@@T-bird_Johnnythrottle body is cleaner then break. Technically I go with that if I got it
@@hisdukeness3037 good to know 👍
@hisdukeness3037 & @Tbird_Johnny
Cleaning your funnel immediately after use and wrapping it in some sort of protective material is more important than what you clean it with. I never put mine away dirty.
@@Rotorhead1651 I'm lazy and live in a 2nd floor apt, I usually do wrap it in a plastic bag, but I put it away dirty. Then brake clean b4 use. 🤷♂️ 😂
I just filled my Blinkers with this.. thank you, it made it much easier than ever before
For the love of all that is holy I hope you used synthetic! That old stuff is no good for modern blinkers.
@@Ian_Burtagreed. I mean the old stuff worked but you get a limp blink every now and again and slow too! Not even 1000 blinks and you gotta top it up again. Thanks science!
I know this has nothing to do with this video. But I'm also a forklift Road Tech and have bought most of the gadgets you review and my favorite one by far is the lunch tray. Thing is bad ass!! Love your videos man. Keep them coming!!
The what now? A lunch tray like you see at the hospital?
Haha I still use mine every day. They’ve come down a lot in price. I saw one the other day for $5
Another alternative for coolant is a DEF filler hose that comes with most DEF jugs
Wow I'm going to have to check that out, all the diesels I run are pre DEF
That to do list is a must
It's the first thing I noticed too! I need one!😂
When you're evaluating the general build quality by feel, I believe the phrase you're looking for is "skookum as frig".
Haha
Lemme me scrape it with my razor knife first.
Blinker fluid 😂😂😂😂😂 great gag gift, just ordered one 😂😂
I keep that one for the new guys. I told them to go get me the bottle out of my truck and they look at me funny 😂
I got one of those as a gift and didn't get the joke at all because I'd never heard turn signals referred to as "blinkers" before that.
@@brennyn Oh my gosh, I just thought of a good way to actually get a container of blinker fluid.
Go to the retail pharmacy (Walgreen's, CVS, etc.) and pick up the smallest bottle of saline or Visine, hand it to the guy who started the prank, point to your eyes, and slowly, deliberately, blink.
Hey Wes..here is a good tech tip for your viewers. Lets say after filling your "blinker fluid" and your blinkers STILL dont work, look under your dash board for a small canister blinker pump sometimes called a flasher. They sometimes go bad and cannot pump the blinker fluid to the lights...just saying..!
Blinker fluid pumps are a pain in the butt to change
I genuinely want to check this thing out, definitely would be useful. Love the content dude keep it up. I like these longer form videos.
😎👍🏻
I wonder if it will fit on a gas cans.
Something, anything, is better than the damned locking, vapor trapping, gasoline spilling, you need three hands to operate, throw them away and get a funnel, spouts we have on modern models.
I like the paper funnels they give me at the gas station.
Awesome review as usual Funk I’ve been looking at getting one of these thanks for the quick demonstration.
Gotta love the t-shirt!
blinker fluid Really made me smile. You were so casual with you're mentioning if it would fit. And thank you for putting the link in the description I was definitely gonna ask you where you got it from.
😜👍🏻
Been using the funnelking for 26 years. It has a lid and cap in 2 sizes, found originally at a JD dealership.
Lots of people make them nowadays, from $10-30.
Its always fun to show an apprentice the paper funnel, single use but rolling up 9x13 piece of paper works as a 1-time use ..under 3 qts lol
Don’t even care about the video. Love the shirt😂😂😂
its brilliant :D
😜👍🏻
That is pretty cool. I might have to get one.
It was cool to actually meet you at the battery class up in Phoenixville. Shirt is awesome
I go by Fix it Frank and someone suggested Franks POV im dying laughing now thanks for the videos the caulk spreader is a gem lol
Absolutely love the videos
I read the description, looks like I'm going to make a stiffener for it to work with 5 gallon buckets, this thing looks pretty sweet!
Great long form. Great shorts. Ruthless TShirts. 👍👍👍
Bought something similar from Advanced.
Used it to change the transmission fluid on my minivan.
Worked.
But, I'm thinking if I took a little more time to hook up a hose to a funnel and include a vapor lock relief tube, that might have worked better.
Gadgets and gimmicks go hand in hand
This thing is actually kind of cool. A good alternative to screw on funnels. And definitely for those harder to reach fill points. That small one for maybe transmission fluid looked kind of big on camera, would like to see if it actually fit in a dipstick hole.
Looks pretty nice! My only problem is that I use so many different kinds of oil that I would need a lot of them to not cross contaminate. It does not look like it would be fun to try to clean out. Love the shirt 😂.
😜👍🏻
Automotive industry I think it's a total non issue. A tablespoon of 10w-30 isn't going to sufficiently contaminate 4-5 qts of 5w-20 or whatever is used. I would not be worried at all. Now if you're in the aviation industry or pharma with vacuum pumps and machinery etc I totally understand and agree.
Wonder how it works on newer oil quarts with big mouths and WHICH 5 qt oil jugs it works with
For. Windshield washer fluid, my dad used a cleaned out and marked a Downy laundry softner bottle. Right size, handles easily and is usually what you need to refill. Still using it.
Thanks
thats pretty good, some vans has fill plugs so deep that funnel wont work easily and for difs
i need to go pee 🤣
Unscrewing and screwing that in 8 times per change would get old.
Bug wash isn't "Basically just soap and water" because soap and water mixed together isn't flammable....but you windshield washer fluid is actually really quite flammable, which is why it's under the hood as far from the engine as possible (space permitting)
Heli forklifts with the hardcab tend to have one of the most annoying radiator placements imo, so the antifreeze fit is a nice plus to have.
How many blinks do you get until you need to change the blinker fluid?
I think this one is good for 200k
Hahahaha 😂 Cough🤭 I've learned the best 2 things. Never to talk about is politics and religion. Because there's so much we don't know. It's so much history behind it that we don't know love you channel😊. Your shirt is funny. I hope my mom wasn't too cold or crunchy .😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
nice shirt
She-Zaammmm, where has this been all my life!! 😂
That thing would be awesome for putting DEF in our fire apparatus
Sounds like an excellent way to get DEF/Adblue into other liquids and borking the entire engine.
Wes, great review , does it fit a blinker fluid container ?
Got get me that shirt 🤣
LUV THE T-SHIRT HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
Well, crap! I used this to put oil in my muffler bearing and then used it to put blinker fluid in my truck. The left over oil mixed with the blinker fluid and now my blinkers are slick. Not sure what to do now!
Went to work at a construction rentals place. Guy brings back an airless sprayer. We give them a full going through before we put them back out for rent.
It was my 1st time to clean one out. I go to take off the sprayer hose attached to the pump. I get to the last thread....and....*_KABOOOOOM!!_*
There was not 1 square inch in the shop that didn't have at least a drop paint on it. I got covered with paint just on my right side, head to toe. 2 other mechanics look like me.
I never laughed so hard.
Let the pressure off 1st next time.
Cool cool, nice reviews as always, my question however is where do I get that shirt?
It popped up on Amazon. I had to have it 😜
Would this work on a gas tank?
I’ll get back to you on that.
that would be really useful if i didn't already buy one of those funnel jugs cause my mini truck is a bit of a pain to fill with oil
or before i did the trans and diff
The to do list 😂😂
😂" did the old Indiana Jones lasso technique "😂😂😂
9:32 "This sound makes me want to pee"
Now I got to go
Contamination seems to be the only problem. Your not going to be able to sling "diff" fluid out like window washer fluid
Add some tape to the jug and it will fit
We now know the 2% that it doesn't fit
I bet if you contact them they could make an adapter and update the device
Well that's correct bc 1% is valvoline and the other is his 🤣🤣
For the jug that you couldn't get to fit even after you took out the green fitting maybe you could put some tape on the threads of the bottle to make it bite. Might not fit in the filler by default but you are a mechanic of sorts so just backyard mechanic that shit.
Love the tee shirt
I keep a 9-12" bungie cord with mine so I can attach it somewhere higher up and avoid having to hold it the whole time.
Tak!
Thank you ☺️👍🏻
Dang, I wanted to see you test it on oil before you used it for wiper fluid.
Go Go Gadget Eco Loop!
They had something simmer back, then called a spout that had a punch in it for the can and it clicked on top of the oil can
Cool gadget! What about those little bottles of Heet or octane booster? Or is the quart the smallest adapter?
The quart is the smallest
@@FunkFPV ok. Think I'll still grab one. Will come in handy for fluid changes on the motorcycle instead of three different sized funnels. 👍
I was hoping tried the vent shutoff when pouring
Where did you find blinker fluid? Out of stock everywhere I look. Darn supply chain constraints...
My link is still in stock 😊
your all out of blinker fluid, you better get more of it 😂
I am fixing to change hydraulic fluid on my tractor, and this would be very handy. I have to add the shirt is fucking awesome. I need that. Lol
While its kinda a cool idea, it seems kinda like a def funnel with extra steps.
I can see a few edge cases it would be nice but the ribbs kinda make it prone to cross contamination/spills which kinda makes the universal funnel concept kinda moot. Also anyone who has filled def out of a def jug know how spill free it is. Also using it will be potentially an exercise of strength and trust in the many plastic threads while the user holds the can high in the air above their head.
Basically long winded way to say the cheap funnels belong on the def jug and probably not the mechanic's tool box.
Are you the guy who keeps leaving his pants at my mom’s house..?
You should put a link to that shirt! 😂
Haha 😛
I just learned today that you can buy tablets to put into a gallon of water to turn it into windshield wiper fluid for 7 cents a piece.
I love your tool reviews!!! Keep them coming!! I have an idea for a tool reviews. I can I get it to you?
I think you can see it in my profile 👍🏻
I’ll give it a try. Not the best with this kind of stuff. But I really like your reviews!!
Ok, I’m an idiot. I’ll try to get someone to help me. I just don’t see it.
would there be concerns about residual chemicals hanging on the gizmo? would you need to clean it? unsure what chemical properties each of the examples has so no idea if there's a risk of them reacting with each other. Also looks like you'd have to pour out the entire blinker bottle just to get it down the funnel and then back.
The first thing I think of is I wonder if it will fit a gas can and replace that wonderful engineering marvel, that they’ve added to those
Get a dot/safety can they work much better and the gas will last longer in them.
Might help fillng Bobcat s250 Skidsteer from 5gallon Hydraulic pails when its -25C blowing 50knts in a blizzard, to go a bit easier...
Makes me curious does the small tip on the end fit in automatic transmission dip stick tubes
I haven’t tried but I’m pretty it would.
@@FunkFPV Might have to get on of these then I hate making paper funnels just to add ATF to someone’s vehicle
So how many will you need?
One for water based products,
One for heavy oil like for the engine,
One for transmission fluid,
One for hydraulic fluid.
Am I missing anything? Sure wouldn't want to have to wash it clean after using an oil and then wanting to fill the winscreen wiper reservoir or contaminating the transmission oil with engine oil although that would be fairly minimal dilution of the transmission fluid but still....
The answer is if it’s oil I don’t if a tablespoon of some other oil is mixed in 🤷🏻♂️
I just want to know can I use the blinker fluid in my TARDIS? The light on top seems to be empty.
Read the owners manual 😜
That wide mouth hydraulic jug i think is the same as the oil one they said it doesn't fit. So maube they will come out with another adapter
What’s your take on Arcbest Autonomous fork lifts? Just saw them on a couple of news articles.
I’ll believe it when I see it. To be honest it’s got the smell of investor bate. The old pump and dump 👍🏻
I could have used this 2 days ago, trying to get engine and hydraulic oil into a caterpillar skid loader what a pain in the ass!
Wow you do actual videos not just shorts??
😎👍🏻
Does it fit fuel additive bottles, and the ever so great new and improved government issues jerry can?
How often should i change my blinker fluid?
Every 6 months
That vent is pretty useless. The bottle is still going to have an airlock until it can glug, glug, glug some air.
That would piss me off enough to chuck it in the trash and go back to pouring directly out of the bottle.
Thanks for the review thought. Now I won't be tempted. 😊
Cleaning this funnel must be a pain in the ass. Also you don't dilute windshield wiper fluid ????
Hell no, it’s a pain when it freezes
The only question that remains is how long it will last. We both know these plastic bits tend to crack with use, then they're useless.
yeee ol blinker fluid 🤣
i have the same shirt on 🤣🤣
I saw your shirt. Listen, I'm not mad but if that's true, you owe me a ton of bday and Christmas gifts
Haha 😂
How about DEF bottles, the spouts that come with all the brands I've used leak at the carboy!
They actually fit on antifreeze bottles but I wouldn’t use one that had DEF in it.
Is there?Like a class you go 24 this.
Rippled not smooth tube would make it a nightmare to clean out. The air vent is uselsss as bottle will still air lock at the cap area of bottle. I can see the adapters gettting lost or broke quickly too. Definiay a marketing gimmik product. Ill stick to normal pouring or a basic funnel
He said large mouth hahahaha
Hey folks
Off subject of the video, but I'm looking for some help from the community, or even the host.
There's a video short, definitely Funk FPV, of a kid in a trench. Knocking a slug out of (what looks to be) an 8-inch pipe. Trench starts flooding, and kid frantically closing the valve before he drowns.
This reminds me so much of my kid.
I've been searching every keyword i can think of and scrolling the videos one-by-one. Any help would be appreciated.
Keep up the good work!
Here’s a link to it but you probably won’t be able to click on it. The video title is “God Bless The New Guy” so you can search it.

@FunkFPV
Thank you so much! This means a lot.
This is exactly something my kid would do if an old timer told him to.
Link works great!
YES we probably mixed up a few whiskeys driving no spills washer fluid no talent needed.LOL
That is so weird. It works, it's a great product! But it's not a funnel...
It's a vented filler hose.
I guess funnel sounds better than vented hose 🤷🏻♂️😜
Oh, to hell with fucking around with that... I find my best funnel with most forklifts is actually a water bottle with the bottom cut out.
Some forklift engines like the Hydundai engines in Clarks or k21/k25s in mitsubishi, nissan, doosan, take regular water bottles just fine. May just have to take the collar off the bottle. You can really dump oil right into the engine easily. Just pull the dipstick on the K21/25s, since it floods the rocker cover.
"Smart water" bottles with the little blue nipple is great for filling most transmissions.
I don't buy special funnels or into this trash that will likely double your time. FunkFPV should know that being a field mechanic means improvising and doing it as cheap as possible is the win.
Source: Shitty and broke field forklift mechanic improvising.
l only get 10 liter jugs. I'm 56 years old no more 5 gallon pails. LOL
Washer fluid is water and alcohol.
it is easier to keep funnels clean! I have a better one to top up coolant only
yea, i would only use that for 5 Qt oil containers, and 1 gallon antifreeze containers. Since they are the most awkward to use. I see no reason to use this on 1 Qt jugs.
