Grinder Powered Blower

- This Blower/Vacuum powered by a grinder is worthless. It comes down to RPMs. That being said I wouldn't trust that plastic fan spinning any faster. Just another fake tool demo in the bag.

I'm honestly impressed they managed to make a blower that takes more effort to use than a shop broom.
Don’t give the sparkys anymore excuse not to pick up a broom
🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣
LoL 😂👍🏻

@@WineScroungerCorrection: you'll _be swept_ when you're dead, after some *klutz* drops your urn... 😏
It never ceases to amaze me how attractive the grinder is for whoever designs these implements. It's like they all want to win the "cheap, ineffective & dangerous" award or something. Great and entertaining review, anyway!
They're great for people who want to get rich from a science fair project
Makes lots of noise, can destroy shit, and sparks fly.
Of *course* it is an idiot's favorite tool 🤷♂️
Cheap you say? Where do I sign?!
Personally, this is only the second attachment I can recall seeing _(this, and chainsaw)._ I think I've seen more for cordless drills lately... _(chainsaw, sheetmetal nibbler, and 2 others I couldn't be bothered to remember lol)_
I'm surprised they haven't made a weed whacker attachment...
However, if one shows up in 2 weeks, you heard it here first! 😅
Yet @funkfpv immediately got rid of his safety gear for the second (kitty litter) demonstration... because if it doesn't implode and shred your hands/face the first time, surely the second time is 100% safe... probably
Lmfao love how he did all these safety precautions, then literally two seconds after firing that shit up he points it right at his face 😂😂
I am convinced that angle grinder hacks were made up by health insurance companies to justify their prices. And considering the legend that is Nubs I remain convinced.
I found a new Nubs video. Should be out next week 😁
@@FunkFPV Next week is suddenly looking much more exciting. Look forward to it
Follow the money to Nubs McGillycuddy
Leaf blower attachment seems to perform just as good as simply flipping the grinder over and blowing stuff away like that. 👍
11:30 the thought of someone walking past and glacing into your house only to see a guy with a face shield, welding gloves, and a modified grinder is both hilarious and slightly terrifying
😂😂
He needs a big lizard tail like Johnny Depp in Fear and Loathing. That would make it complete.
@@Enter-a-name55 Don't forget the golf shoes!
Be normal in Florida however
Its perfect. You can look busy on a job site for atleast 3 hours just on assembly.
Hey Funk just wanted to finally say thank you for the videos, they helped encourage me into getting into hydraulic maintenance due to seeing the low standards in the videos we all laugh at. I found my calling and enjoy every single day making hydraulic lines and rebuilding cylinders! Keep up the good work! Someone's gotta do it 😂
Nice!👍🏻 Happy to inspire you
Heavy ag and heavy forklift hydraulic tech here, welcome to the life🎉
I'm just impressed they made the propeller to spin the correct direction. It deserves a point to then be taken away
Well the speed the grinder needs to make this thing work would presumably require an extra zero
Check 6:45 they didn't manage to mold the fanblades in the correct direction, costing them at least 2/3 of the performance of that thing.
edit: i've got to increase the loss to 95%
Exactly! I bet they got it wrong their first try 😁
@@FunkFPV Moldmaking costs a lot, even in china. I'd bet that they only noticed it once the mold was made and didn't want to spend the money on a second one.
@@FunkFPV have you considered 3d pronting the fan with correct fanblades just to see how good it could have been?
I'm pretty sure the fan on the ceiling behind you would have more effect than this thing. 😂😂😂
At least that one is quite and took me less time to get working 😂
the second visual test tells us so much about his life. this is a man who likes baseball, ice cream , and has a cat
It’s always a great day when the goat of UA-cam uploads. Kinda like Christmas just a lot better.
Side note: The gyro screwdriver is useful, got me one of those. Takes a second to get used to and always good for a laugh when handing it to the uninitiated and watching them try and figure it out 🤣
I love that thing almost as much as seeing someone try to get it to work 😜
The tool no one wanted but someone made anyway...
Saying it's a tool is a bit generous
Perfect description of all these tools
More like a gag item
Puts on a suit of armor, aims at own face "nope doesnt do shit". A man truly after my own heart
Love the long format stuff, especially when its a fallow up to a short. Thx😊
If only I had a dollar for every grinder I wanted to be a blower
I do!
Oh wait….. 😒
Right? Then i'd have about 10 cents
All those dollars I gave grinders and didn’t get any blowers……
Maybe you gotta switch up something on your profile.🤷🏾♂️ I don't know how it works on that side.😂😂
@@Like_Ike Maybe he only has a small 3” grinder, and not the 9” one.
You made me so happy when you said you'd never taken the guard off your grinder before. Good job.
Big thank you for the items to keep away from. I definitely would prefer the safety and convenience of my conventional blower/vacuum. Truly appreciate these videos.👍🏼
"Cleanin up after the electricians"
That one stung a little bit. 😂😂
Just wanted to say thanks for being and staying yourself, I'm from MN but live in Europe now and I miss the real humor that comes from real folks like you, keep on keepin on.
Thank bud 😎👍🏻
Those little blowers are outstanding for rearranging the wood dust in my garage.
They spread around dust pretty good.
The more long form videos you make. The more ill watch, keep er up buddy!
What sold me was the ease of use.😅
It sets up in just a few hours LoL Honestly that’s about how long it took to get this stupid thing to work 😂
I bet it fits the $14.99 Harbor Freight grinder perfectly.
They probably came out of the same factory 😜
LoL puts on all the safety equipment, proceeds to immediately blow thing directly at face....love it!
Haha 😛 I figured if it was going to blow up it would’ve done it right away
@@FunkFPVlol it would have been entertaining if it did...got any higher speed grinders? :D
"Demonstrating the blow." No part of that sentence I didn't like.
I’m with you, except maybe for the word “the”, which seemed unnecessary.
There you go. 👍🏻
@dannop2562 lol
My dad has had the same Ryobi angle grinder for 11 years and has not failed us. Ryobi all the way
Partial Chinese translation from box, "Blow away all worries." Love the advertising slogan! ;-)
I love that you took the time to do this. So funny.
You know I do not trust very many people. You have earned something that I give to very few. Thanks
I love this guy He reminds me of my old mechanics teacher in high school except he’s funny and doesn’t have a stick up his ass
You're right about looking through ramdom holes.
A guy is walking past a tall solid fence and starts to hear a loud chanting coming from the other side 'ELEVEN! ELEVEN! ELEVEN! ELEVEN!........
Curious, he stops where the chanting was loudest and finds a small hole and now really wondering what's going on he presses his eye up to the hole and somebody pokes him in the eye real hard, when the chanting changes....
TWELVE! TWELVE! TWELVE! TWELVE!
😂😂😂
Would be interesting to see the death turbo 5000 hooked up to a 32,000 rpm router.
I have ideas 😜
Y'know, I get it. Everybody loves a grinder, you can already grind, cut and clean with them, they're portable and light. That being said, there is a limit to every tool, and even the mighty grinder must admit it isn't the only tool needed on a jobsite.
I was amazed how well it actually worked on the kitty litter, didn't think it would move it at all! 😂😂😂
Found you via the shorts. But man I love your humor. Its dryness and spontaneous outbursts at random moments are even better than during the shorts.
He is like my friend always serious and when he tells a joke you can't tell cause he never laughs unless someone breaks something or hurts themselves. Kinda like having a cop at your party😂😂
I love the shirt man. Thank you for spreading awareness. Video, 10 out of 10.
😎👍🏻
6:46 without having seen the rest of the video. That thing would probably work 3 times as good if they had molded the fan blades in the propper direction.
I mean the base idear might have been not to bad. A powerfull motor at decent rpm might make a good drive for a radial fan (as long as the blades don't go flying from the radial forces) but the terrible execution ducked it up.
edit: okay it was a 95% performance loss from the wrong fan blade direction.
The fact that you used a DeWalt grinder warmed the cockles of my heart. It even warmed the sub-cockle region.
I used to be a cockles warmer back in the day 😜
Dont get too warm there bud 😳
Puts all sorts of safety equipment on, then proceeds to immediately point the blower at his face.
Man i was following you when you had FRACTION of these subs glad everyone else realizes how funny you are man, always loves your work and humor!!!
I appreciate that. I think I’m stating to find my grove 😜
Wow! No difference at all!, how have I lived without this mind blowing Lu awesome tool!😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I love that your uploads happen at the same time as my lunch.
Love the videos, man.
Haha I do that on purpose because I’m always looking for a video to watch at lunch 😜👍🏻
Goofy Tiktok Tools are my favorite videos, we need an update in the tool graveyard.
LOL, that is awesome! You didn't get ripped off because we love watching this stuff. Great stuff.
It’s all fun 👍🏻 I can’t believe some people are selling this thing for $25 😬
"I might have lost an eye." You're killing me! I had to pause to laugh!
Same. Wes is a naturally occurring comedian, plus a great power tool reviewer! We love ya Wes!!😛😛
Lol the safety gear is a must with the death blender
You're inspiring every tradesman with a gopro. Thanx and keep it up.👍
It doesn’t take much. I’ve got 2 GoPros and a wireless Road mic.
Record your stuff and see what happens.
You had shoes on, thats why it didn't work properly. Here I was thinking you were a serious reviewer but you missed such an obvious oversight. Its like saying a car doesn't drive when you forgot to use the keys to start it.
Great vid boss, enjoyed it
Been following for a LONG TIME... digging the background ensemble.
That little blower did a better job than I thought it would.
To be fair, I didn't expect much.
It was a low bar for sure 😂
you broke rule #1 of being a tool youtuber... all tool demonstrations shall be preformed barefoot
I've been using these mini-blowers (unmodified) to remove the dust from inside the PC cases.
The low flow means no damage to certain sensitive parts that can bend and make a possible short circuit, also they're cheap asF.
Tip: remember to disconnect everything that is connected to something inside your PC case before doing anything related to maintenance / repair.
I love the show and your shorts.
I would love to have you as a guest on my weekly live stream
Give the audience a chance to hear your stories and learn who you really are.
Cheers
I got some leftover fans from an old PC build, with these people, those are premium miniature angle grinders
I think you’ve underestimated the tool’s power. I mean L👀k …it got your ceiling fan going a mile-a-minute!😲🤩😎
I’m not sure if the tool “Blows because it Sucks …or Sucks because it Blows?”🤷🏻♂️
LoL 😝
Dude! Don't put your face near that! Didn't you learn from the last time you put your face near a hole? Lol thanks for the follow up, great sequel
You can always relegate the old suck-n-blow to the wife as a blow dryer. The grinder bathroom mount might need some thought put into it...along with a bump up in life/medical insurance policy.
Best 17$ you've spent for our entertainment.
God bless you good sir.
Seen a lot of your short videos. Thank you for you time and affordable.
Effort. Meant to say effort . Fucking auto correct
GreatScott! did a couple videos trying to improve on a Dyson vacuum. The moment I saw that impeller, I knew why you said it was worthless in the description. That is the hardest part to get right from what I have seen.
Maybe I’ll hook it up to my 30k RPM die grinder and see what happens 😜

LOL! Cleaning up after the electricians! I understand that's a problem in many places. My crew swept out the whole house after we got through with wiring it. Company owner said neatness mattered in both our work and how we left the job.
Almost choked on my chicken wings when the herpes from the hole in the bathroom stall was mentioned and the possible loss of an eye if you had looked through the hole! Made my flipping day!!
Pretty sure a $10 hair dryer would do a better job
Jobsite blower always had a different meaning for me. 😂
Depends on the job site 😎
"Better to have blow jobs than no jobs" - Bill Clinton
Yeah, if they're gonna use that kind of impeller they need more velocity, but that takes either diameter or rpm. The cheap kind of electric leafblower looks a bit like that, but a somewhat bigger diameter at a fair amount higher rpm and doesn't explode too much.
Love watching these. Keep up the great work.
Could you do another for using the attachment in *Vacuum* mode? that's what the plastic hose is for.
Because even if it not safe, with good setup it could be used for cleaning.
I have seem the product long ago but there aren't any reviews on it, and you are the most close to earth guy that actually says how dangerous it is.
I couldn’t barely feel any air flow on the vacuum side. It was worth trying.
Been enjoying your shorts and now watched this one, good stuff… and in watching it occurred to me that you have a Penn Jillette vibe going with your delivery and edgy voice. Keep the good stuff coming!
I love these reviews so much! Let's see if it's what they say!
Thanks bud 🙏🏻☺️
Liked the shirt. Looked it up. Bought one. I think it was a better investment. I enjoyed the video.
Nice! It’s a good company with a great cause 👍🏻
😂 Love this channel.... And will be keeping my backpack blower.
My neighbour has a leaf vacuum. It’s nice when she vacuums our lawn.
I remember seeing this on my feed, but never watched it.
Some tool mods aren’t bad, but most seem add unnecessary hassles. One good looking one that I’ve seen is the 1/2” belt sander conversion kit for the Milwaukee’s cut off tool.
You blew my coffee all over my shirt when you pointed that blower at the camera, man that thing is strong 😮
LoL 😝
bro you are almost to 1mill that’s sick
Yeah, it’s been creeping up on me. I thought for sure I’d be out of dumb stuff to make fun of by now. It seems there’s an endless supply out there 😂😂
Just found your long format channel. I’m a respiratory therapist now, but was an apartment maintenance man for many years and an RC pilot. Mostly .40 sized nitro. You’re the man sir.🫡
Thank you 🫡
Just noticed your shirt - 22 a day too many!! I have personal impact from my veteran son's suicide, and it's a daily struggle dealing with the aftermath. Love your content.
This short-ish video is better content than all of the Marvels Universe movies.
thanks for the effort this video made my day
No finger wag between blower demonstations. Going to have to deduct a point. 9 out of 10. So there ya have it. 😂
The point of the grinder blower conversion is it is designed NOT to be too powerful.
That way if you take some used cat litter it blows the litter off, (into a suitable receptacle for re use) leaving the turds and , hey presto, a Chinese grinder conversion for recycling cat litter and leaving you with just the cat-toffee! (Which you then dispose of by putting in your neighbours bin, their car sunroof, letterbox etc).
The other blower blows both the litter AND the cat-tods! A disaster for the cost conscious cat lover.
This is an Ingenious invention.
"you got this long black hose. It's giving me flashbacks to the bathroom stall incident" 😂
Your mortal enemy who wants your blood: "hey they make 4.5 inch saw blades...angle grinder circular saw video plz"
Got some really good laughs in this one. Thank you for making these.
When you lifted your face shield expected it to explode 😂 good vid mate 👍
I wonndered how much better it would be if it was made out of better materials. So I went online to see how insides of heavy dutypreassure blower looks like. So now that I am out if that rabbit hole. I could be made better, but it would need a bigger grinder. if you try putting this on anything bigger it would probably explode . So tnx mate for getting me to go and learn about blowers and grinders. Regards from Serbia.
It might be useful to blow some dust off your workbench if you can't find a small brush and don't really need it very clean.
Just use an electronic air duster
Was great how you took all the time to be safe then pointed the death blower right at your face lmao
Probably the only BJob the inventor ever got 😅😅.
I appreciate the attempt to recreate the Adam Savage vacuum motor incident.
I can't believe I watched the whole video but it was really good...
My guy blew it at his face shield admits thats dumb then tests the blow with his hand covered in weld gloves 😂 fn love you bro now... Go make more ppl look dumb. Literally one my fav shorts makers tho. Congrats to your growth btw bro lotta time behind the camera for ya its work. Good shit
I like that you put the face shield on for protection and immediately blow the thing in your face lol
