I actually went through the painful process of getting every orb on my own. I even went through the painful soul crushing process of beating every single race in the game, (City, port, normal and reverse races) and I have the scores to prove it, but somehow I was short 9 orbs and I'm guessing that was due to a glitch. As much as I love this game, I was not about to start that grind all over again, so I thank you so much for this guide man. Still works as of September 27, 2022.

I'm coming off the heels of getting the platinum for RDR2, which took me roughly 400 hours. I absolutely did not want to restart all because I missed a couple of orbs. Every other trophy I got was legit. Thanks for finding this. You saved me the potential burnout that could've ruined one of my favorite games.

@@billysaw69 RDR2 was a particularly LOOONG Platinum. He's just saying that it's nice to have something simpler after such a long grind. Especially with using debug mode we won't have to hunt down all the Precursor Orbs and potentially have to start over if we miss a few.
For those who are asking. Just to clear that for you. Anything happens in the game not by 3rd party tool or program then it's OK. Like cheats, exploits, glitches and debug mode. If you use some programs like to use someone else is saves and edit saves to cheat in game then you will be removed from the psn trophy sites.

What is the difference between an exploit and a glitch though? They're kinda the same thing. And yeah, I agree. It annoys me when people say that glitches are cheating when most glitches in video-games are actually hard as shit to pull off, especially in speedruns. If it's part of the game's coding and not through external means, then it's counted as legitimate since it's an oversight on the part of the developer(s). Some glitches are also unavoidable, such as the glitch in Wolfenstein where you get to level 50 just by viewing the number one ranked person and then exiting the leaderboard. It's a very stupid glitch that's never been patched so everyone just gets to level 50 instantly.
John Bond Well for PS3 anyway you can use Bruteforce to reassign your save file ID to someone's else save file. So say someone made a save file right before earning a hard trophy. You take that save file, assign your ID to it and now the PS3 will think it is your save file and the trophy will pop.
There is a video of someone getting platinum on minecraft by using the world of a friend through multiplayer and getting banned because it was too fast

After that 78%, and i think that's it, i watched all cutscenes and got nothing more, maybe i made a mistake and get those collectibles trophies too soon before story related, im no sure thats important but maybe someone will check. Just needed it for the last orbs trophy. Had problems with the L1 +x.
What I did was start the game with guest on the second controller. Use the code given in video but for the second go down to options before typing it in. Then went straight to the last level and used L1 + X on the second controller. Worked then.

Can you use Remote Play?
Sept. 24th, 2019: it still works. Just two tips:
- when you enter the second code, you need to be before the button "Options" and not "New game", so that you can enter the code.
- when you enter the last code, remember to hold the buttons required to change the "secrets" menù in the start menù.

Bro watching this I had an idea. Naughty dog didn’t want to continue with the jak series 1 because they only had half the team, but also 2 because they felt the story line was getting progressively darker.. but honestly they could’ve played with the timeline theory a bit more, for example, baby jak that adult jak rescues no longer has to travel to the future because adult jak kills kor thus, an opportunity for an entirely separate series to take place, possibly even one with a lighter storyline, but still just as action packed and fun! Idk I guess Ill never get over the fact that we’ll never get another crack a jak and Daxter

I'm not seeing scene player act 3 bro, any reason why
its a debug y'all, of course its still working this isn't a glitch
For those on PS3 versions and not all trophies are popping- delect game save and follow guide and watch celebration scene and repeat- keep doing that and the trophies will pop. However upon testing it takes a bit. Every 5 times I watch the scene and then select save data and repeat I was granted one trophy. So it does take a little time. Hopes this helps- currently testing this on PS3 to help other people. Or just keep repeating celebration scene- it might take 100-300 reloads for all trophies to pop. I tested this between four accounts- best method in my opinion. Trust me it will work just reload scene. I spent 3 days of testing and found that this was the best method as it just literally reloading the same scene again The trophies pop randomly due to coding error.

Had to use this for the Collectationator trophy. Got all precursor orbs, completed all side missions, and got gold in all courses, and still had 4 missing orbs! .-.

If you're on PS3 and don't have a second controller, just reassign your PS3 controller by holding down the PS button, going to Controller Set, click Reassign the Controller and picking 2. This allowed me to get the orbs. Also, it is possible to get all the trophies, it's just a bit more tedious on PS3. You'll have to play through each level in Level Select to get the story related trophies (the ones that didn't unlock anyway).

HUYI1 It’s one way. That’s why I said it was pretty tedious. Another way I’ve found is watching some cutscenes for about three seconds and a random trophy will pop up. Don’t have to do it this way. It just bugs me having an incomplete trophy list, ha ha. Sucks the whole thing doesn’t work on PS3 like it does on PS4.

On the PS4, this debug code worked fine.
On the PS Vita and the PS3 it looks different. There it dropped only 7 bronze trophies and 2 silver trophies when I got into the final boss fight.
This is only 15% of the game. On the Vita you can see a red text programmer text on the top left ...so the codes were entered correctly and you are in debug mode.
But I've found more trophies that you can unlock by activating cutscenes. (7 bronze, 1 silver, 2 gold).
So I get 44% of the game with a pretty low effort. If other people have other experiences on the PS Vita please ask for an answer. Thank you!
In the following cutscenes I found more trophies:
Act I
- Real money collectors (Echte Geldeintreiber) - bronze
- The secret meeting (Das geheime Treffen) - bronze
Act II
- Kor and the child (Kor und das Kind) - bronze

Highly recommend you play through the main story missions first to get the most out of the game and follow the franchise. This method itself is very straight forward and works exactly as presented on screen, therefore you can grab that platinum trophy within minutes after you’ve played through the game so you leave with the trophies and the satisfaction of completing the game.
So I can play the game normally as story mode without collecting anything? And then I can still use this method to get The last few trophies, like all The orbs trophy?

Doesn't work on PS3 version, only a few story trophies unlock with this method. You can still get some of them via playing certain cutscenes but many only unlock by actually completing the requirement via level select. Debug mode makes playing this game trivial as you can hover (hold down L2+R2 at the same time, press X to cancel). You're immune while hovering and it also revives you when you die or lose health so you're essentially invincible. You can skip whole levels by hovering and just going to where the cutscene triggers which will unlock the trophy. A few of the boss fight trophies don't unlock also but being invincible makes them easy enough to get in level select. The only one that may be problematic that doesn't unlock automatically and there's no advantages in debug mode is the Class 3 hover race (Speeding Slowly trophy). That one just takes practice hitting the shortcut consistently and you'll get it probably within 5-6 tries.
All the collection trophies still work on PS3 with this method though which is the real saving grace as that is the most time consuming thing if you were to do it legit.

Just got this in 2023 still works thanks! I played the entire game and got the orbs in every level and a lot of the ones in haven city but I still only had 155 at the end of the game. No way I'm going after the rest of them lol just beating the game destroyed my sanity enough.

to farm orbs on vita start any orb search mission, then enter fly mod and restart the mission. it won't restart in flay mode but timer is gone and orb isn't. just fly to the orb, when grabed exit fly mode - the mission will restart. so don't need to bother with timing or grab it too soon. best place is mission in water area where orb appears right under you.

As a trophy hunter myself I can't really blame people who used this cheat (I didn't), but please, play this game anyway. Even if it is old, it is amazing and you will have a great experience. Same for Jak 3.
I might do it when for the collection, but everything else I'll do the legit way. I don't like feeling like the gave me the plat instead of me earning it.

Well, it's April 2024 and I've just glitched Jack 2 and Jack 3. I'm on ps5 and I've only got one controller, so I can confirm that everything works correctly, but there are a few processes that differ. Here I'll explain how I did it, in the hope that it will help others. All the explanations in the video are valid and I followed them to the letter right up to the moment of the trophies for the 300/600 orbs. It seems that the technique used for this passage has been patched. Instead of holding L2, once you've launched the challenge for the first time, you simply use L2 and R2 to put yourself in flight mode. Once done, press start, go to the restart/quit tab and press restart. Confirm with yes. When you confirm with yes, you automatically return to the game and the music changes (it's defeat music). Once done, you can retrieve the orb (note that the countdown timer no longer appears, but if it reaches 0, the orb disappears, so don't drag your feet either, but there's plenty of time - don't worry) once you've retrieved the orb, all you have to do is press, X or L1 to deactivate flight mode, which will restart the challenge. Repeat the operation until you've collected all 300 orbs.
From there, you can follow the instructions in the video to the letter. For those of you with only one controller. Simply connect a second self-created profile (it doesn't even have to be connected or linked to the Psn) and use the Remote Play app.
So you're in your main profile, press the Home button and switch users. You return to your main profile on the game screen and pause the game. You connect to the remote play application with your main profile (normally it's automatically linked to it). Your controller, which was linked to your main profile, will disconnect. Reconnect it and a message will appear on your console/tv asking you to assign the controller to a profile. Assign it to your create/guest profile. If you've followed all the instructions, you should now have your main profile streaming the ps5 on the Remote Play application and the mirrored image on your TV, but affiliated to the create/guest profile. Now all you have to do is click on L3 + X to see the 600 orbs trophy appear. I hope I've made myself clear. 💪🏼✌🏼

For those that are on PS4 YES it still works. The thing is the PS4 version is the PS2 version so it still works. I only did it for the orbs trophy because I could not go back to the nest. Every other trophy I got from completing the game. And no you won't get banned if it's just one trophy. Hope this helps 🙏

I did Jak 3 six times without ever being able to find all the eggs, I had the feeling of accomplishment but the frustration of having a missing trophies was intense.

Still working on the PS4 as of november 2018. You also don't really need a second controller you just ahve to switch accounts without logging out. Thanks so much for this. I played the game regularly but used this guide to get the precursor orb trophy cause those challenges are nearly impossible imo and really stupidly designed. I'm up for a challenge but it has to be fair.
Can you use the codes at any time? So earn all story trophies then use the codes to get all other (collectible) trophies.
@@aki-sid yes, you can use the codes whenever you want. I completed the story first and tried to earn most of the orbs myself but some challenges were just too annoying and poorly designed like the race record times that I just didn't want to waste my time on them.

didn't need a second controller i simply switched the user on my one controller and switched back, thanks for the help though!

Did you have to log in with another account and another remote to get the orbs? I did that and I'm pressing L3 and X and nothing is happening😢
@@habiz_ Yes I did it with a second controller and another account. For the account I used a temporaly guest account. After logging in I pressed L3 and X on the second controller and got the orbs and the metalheads for my main account.
@@Kashi_Falkenauge I just did it a few min ago. The trick that's not being explained is that on the original remote you need to keep holding L2 and R1 while pressing L3 and X on the 2nd remote
I'm playing on a PS4 and this is not working for me. I swear I'm holding L3 the entire time but as soon as I press X the game just goes to main menu. After 30 mins of trying I give up. 😫

Anything struggling with the last part of getting the collectible trophies, I found instead of pressing L3 & X at the same time just press L3 then X slightly after it (while still holding L3). It didn’t seem to like pressing them at the same time 👍🏼 happy gaming 💗

I just tried it only for the collector trophies still works. The version I did was the PS4 in my Ps5. I didn't try the story related trophies because i want to play the game.
