This also works on PS3 and Vita loading the final mission will pop around 9-10 trophies
So i was able to finish jak 3 on ps3 in about 1hour now 3 times with debug menu and this is how it works
The story trophies who will pop are everytime little random
1.Use the debug codes
2.Secrets - Scene Player Act 3 - The universe calls
3.Watch and skip this cutscene until you reach 32% trophy progression (and yes this works) it can be happen you may skip 20 times without a trophy but you will get every time to 32%
4. if u also get the trophy for beating the last boss (2/3 times i didnt) you can skip point 5
5.Watch and skip scene THE UNIVERSE CALLS (2-3x times) Trophy Progression 41%
6.Choose Scene Player Act 2 - Beat Cyber-Errol Boss - Watch and skip until 51%
7.Choose Act 2 - Explore War Factory - Watch and skip 3x trophy progression 52%
8.Back to Act 3 - Choose A hero's Work is never Done - watch and skip till 64%
9.Act 3 - Find my Son... watch and skip till 65%
10.Act 3 - The Catacombs are the only hope - watch and skip till 67%
11.Act 3 - Our Hero - watch and skip till 71%

13.2/3 times i only get 72% on step 12 and i have to play the one missing story trophy by myself because it wont unlock ( seems very random)

Well, it's April 2024 and I've just glitched Jack 2 and Jack 3. I'm on ps5 and I've only got one controller, so I can confirm that everything works correctly, but there are a few processes that differ. Here I'll explain how I did it, in the hope that it will help others. All the explanations in the video are valid and I followed them to the letter right up to the moment of the trophies for the 300/600 orbs. It seems that the technique used for this passage has been patched. Instead of holding L2, once you've launched the challenge for the first time, you simply use L2 and R2 to put yourself in flight mode. Once done, press start, go to the restart/quit tab and press restart. Confirm with yes. When you confirm with yes, you automatically return to the game and the music changes (it's defeat music). Once done, you can retrieve the orb (note that the countdown timer no longer appears, but if it reaches 0, the orb disappears, so don't drag your feet either, but there's plenty of time - don't worry) once you've retrieved the orb, all you have to do is press, X or L1 to deactivate flight mode, which will restart the challenge. Repeat the operation until you've collected all 300 orbs.
From there, you can follow the instructions in the video to the letter. For those of you with only one controller. Simply connect a second self-created profile (it doesn't even have to be connected or linked to the Psn) and use the Remote Play app.
So you're in your main profile, press the Home button and switch users. You return to your main profile on the game screen and pause the game. You connect to the remote play application with your main profile (normally it's automatically linked to it). Your controller, which was linked to your main profile, will disconnect. Reconnect it and a message will appear on your console/tv asking you to assign the controller to a profile. Assign it to your create/guest profile. If you've followed all the instructions, you should now have your main profile streaming the ps5 on the Remote Play application and the mirrored image on your TV, but affiliated to the create/guest profile. Now all you have to do is click on L3 + X to see the 600 orbs trophy appear. I hope I've made myself clear. 💪🏼✌🏼

So I finally got the plat. Everything worked fine except the orbs glitch which has been patched. You need to actually get 300 orbs by choosing mission select towards the end of the game, and getting 300 orbs legit from the challenges. You can use debug mode to fly and make it a lot easier though. I got most almost all the ones in Spargus and Haven City and then cleaned up in the wasteland. Then once hit 300 do the extra controller exploit and you’ll get the platinum
300 works fine but the 600 doesn't which sucks
do you mean the trick of the desert town is useless?
People saying the orb glitch does not work anymore are wrong, fly with R2 and L2 to near the orb then restart mission, the mission won't restart until you stop flying so fly into the orb then press L1 and the mission will restart, that is how it's done in 2024.

This glitch still works. Thanks for showing me a guide for this I was only missing the 600 orb trophy and I wasn't going through the game again to get all 600
Due to the orb glitch now being patched you HAVE TO earn 300 orbs legit, then you can use the debug method to get the next 300 (and the gold trophy). These 300 orbs aren't too big a pain, especially if you use debug to fly, but just for a reference, there are 56 orbs you can get between spargus city, Spargus Palace and the arena just lying in the open/inside urns. There are 30 orbs in the Port area of Haven city, and 27 throughout the other areas of the city.
So far this is 113 orbs. The rest of the orbs are best obtained from various side missions (the races through haven city provide 10 orbs, finding a hidden orb grants 3, etc.). As annoying as this is, it's still faster than doing it legit.
Here's what I would recommend for you. Start a new game save. This might set you back some but you'll be able to get orbs you collected. Anyways I wrote out a tutorial so I'm just going to copy and paste it here.
Like this comment as it helps more people see it. First get in debug mode. Then go to one of the challenges. I heavily recommend you make a back up or two incase you fail. I've found 2 methods. Good news, I'm releasing both. The first method is easy and the second is more difficult and slow but I came up with the second method first. It was a headache but I'm releasing it just in case the first method doesn't work.
(Recommend method)
1. Start challenge and then start flying. Get close to the egg and go to the pause menu, while flying! Go to restart/quit and then click restart mission. Now fly into the egg if it's stll there and then land to restart the mission.
(Not Recommend method)
2. For this method it's very important to have backups. Start challenge. Get close to the egg and hold the button to charge up with dark eco release and very quickly press pause. Go to restart/quit and then click restart mission. Now the mission should restart and you'll have the eggs. When you fail go back on the backup saves. For me the fail rate is about 80% so keep that in mind.
Edit: I found out other people also found out the first method before me.
With the new patch I found if you fly over the orb, let the timer go out, and then let yourself fall down you’ll get the orb. Then rinse and repeat.
Thanks again. Just got the platinum for this too. Just needed the orbs one and thankfully had over 300 already collected so only took a few minutes.

@@jacobrodriguez1144 Yes it did, basically it’s best to have at least 200 or so orbs legit, then do the debug code on that save file, you don’t have to do the game all over again on a new save.

Thanks. Works as of today October 2018 on ps4. Guide worked on the first attempt. Make sure you save every 5 or 10 orbs in 2 different save slots. That way if you grab the orb by mistake you simply reload before making the mistake. GREAT GUIDE. Thanks!!

ATTENTION: This glitch has been patched. However, you can still use Debug mode to get to 600 orbs. Unfortunately, you'll need to legitimately get to 300 orbs on your own. I just played all of the challenges and after I completed a bunch of them, and from the orbs I had from my playthrough, I had over 300. Then I used Debug mode and the 600 orbs trophy popped. It's not too hard to do it this way either. It just takes longer, but honestly it's more fun to do the challenges then to collect the same one orbs hundreds of times.
How?
Yeah I just did the L3+x on start menu on my main save (I had 502 orbs on my main save) and it worked for me. Jak 2 is a painful one, but 3 has always been super fun getting most of the orbs, maybe not those last stragglers, but most is fun.

Great guide - done in about 1 hour 10 minutes. Some additional tips:
When farming the scorpions for metal head gems, use L2 + triangle to heal yourself (providing you have some white eco). The 2nd blue gun is also really helpful - press DOWN twice on the d-pad to select.
The orb farming method at the end only works if you have some dark eco (pick up a few dark purple pellets from vases etc before starting).

When you get to L3 and X just turn on the second controller and log into your second account and do it from that controller
If anyone is still having trouble with the orbs, here's something that may make it easier using a similar method. When flying over to a gold orb, stay in flight mode, then pause and restart mission. You do not have to hold down L2 for this. That's just used for Dark Jak to make the orb home in on him.
But if you select restart mission while still in flight mode, it will not transition into a yellow tint. Instead, you can freely roam around to your heart's content and pick up the orb that way. Then simply press X to land and the mission loads back to the beginning. You can be a little further away to ensure you don't pick up the orb during the timer by accident.

Guys for platinum in jak 1 do not use the debug to collect power cell only do it after you complete collecting from each area especially the last area ( spider cave )
The orbs will bug because you collect the power cell before you play this part.
Collect the orbs and the flies then if you missed power cell do it with debug.

At the last collectibles i cant pick up the orb from the challenge. When u do it u release red lightning and tha orb vanishes but when i do it the orb is still there and no red sparks for me and the orb doesnt count as obtained. Can Anyone help me with this?

Ive had some problems on my PS5 and the story trophies didn't pop for me (except 5) you have to delete the save file. You'll find it under settings -> saved data / game - App settings -> saved data (ps4) and under delete. If you delete everything and restart and do the trick it will work.

Update: 12/7/22 STILL WORKING. i just followed the above video on my ps5. I struggled a little to get into the second debug menu, but after I started a game, and saved the game, the second combo worked to open up the secret menu. Everything worked fine up until the orb section at the very end of the video. There is a way to do it. Someone left a comment above on how it works. Basically, you will follow the video until you get to the orb, and you will restart the mission WHILE STILL FLYING. collect the orb and then hit x to land. This will restart the mission. Fly again, restart the mission, collect the orb, then land. Do this over and over and over again until the first trophy pops. Then do the second controller hack that is explained in the video. Sorry if somebody has said this. But I have an alternate method on collecting orbs glitch. USE DEBUG MODE TO FLY, once you are flying you can restart the mission any time you want, the game won't trigger the mission restart UNTIL YOU LAND PROPERLY WITH X. before landing, MAKE SURE TO PICK UP THE ORB
FLY>RESTART MISSION>FLY INTO ORB>LAND PROPERLY (HIT X ABOVE GROUND LEVEL)

After doing the second code I clicked the second last area instead of the last one by accident,so I didn't get all the trophies...I closed app and started again and hit the last area but I'm not getting the rest of them what do I do?

I hope someone finds a way to plat Jak 1 in 5 mins. I plat the PS3 version years ago, I got about half way done with the Vita version but quit, it's so bad on the Vita.
The game takes less than 5 hours casually.

There is still a way after patch 1.02. Go to spot 1, talk to it, fly (R2+L2) to above the orb and ~1 sec after the timer runs out press the X button to fall. You will fall onto the orb and collect the 3 orbs without it counting against you. Then just restart on the option it gives you. It is very similar to Jak 2 but extremely easier. Works 100% of the time if you wait the extra second after 00.00 on timer.

@@woolgum Just go towards the second window, aim to the ladder and walk like 3,4 times. I used that and got it like 95% of the times.
Not enough skull gems spawn with the scorpions, it always stops spawning just before 125, usually somewhere between 90 and 120

just did it got into secret menu after using both codes, went to level select 3, destory final boss. and not 1 trophy popped up. i did it multiple times turned off ps5 tried again and still nothing. i am at 0% trophy for this using both cheats codes. any idea's?
When I try the orb glitch, it doesn’t show that I’ve picked up 3 orbs each time in the Secrets menu. Am I supposed to do this 100 times until the Trophy pops or does the game detect that you’re picking up 3 orbs at a time using this glitch?
I noticed its important that you dont die or activate that dark jak ability when farming the gems since this will glitch the level and the enemies won't drop them anymore. Happened to me twice until I figured that out.

so for the 300 orbs at the end you just go to the side of the orb, hold L2, click restart and then what? do you just stay afk or do you keep pressing restart? im confuzzled som1 halp plz lol
As you enable dark Jak you pick up the orb just before the game fails the mission, therefore allowing you to count those 'failed' orbs as game orbs

Just to clarify. For the glitch you must have some dark energy stuff. If your pushing L2 and just crouching go around and break some crates until you get at least one purple orb. Then it should work.

Can confirm everything works still on ps5 today march 2023, apart from last orb glitch.
If having trouble getting the first orb trophies because u run out of enemies, just die, you keep you orbs.
For the last orb glitch where u restart the quest 100 times.
Do this, press R2 and L2 to fly , hover a little, then restart quest. You’ll still be able to move and quest won’t end until you press x, so fly to orb pick it up in fly mode , then press X and the mission will restart, rinse and repeat 100 times then do 2nd controller when 300 orb trophy pops.
Hopes this helps people as was stuck on last part a while.

stand next to it, hold L2, pause before release, release, restart, you will pick up the orb that counts as 3 orbs, do this 100 times at most (depending on how many you had prior) you only get 3 orbs at a time, so if you had 6 before you started, you will only have to do it 98 times, and after the first one, you will have 9 orbs.
I checked what I have on secrets menu and its stuck on 1/600!

1/19/2022 PS3: the L3+X code gives you 1000 skull gems and 1000 precursor orbs. However like Jak II PS3 there are issues getting story related trophies through cutscenes (worse than Jak II, since no trophies seem to pop). I wanted to play the game to completion anyway so that doesnt matter to me

The 300 orbs glitch patched, but there is another glitch.
Fly over the orbs and make sure it is not appear on the screen, when the time finished and the counter gone press X to jump on the orbs.
After you collect the 300 orbs press pause menu and sign in with 2nd controller and with it press L3+X the 600 orbs trophy will pop up.

help, the last 2 trophies, that of the 300 and 600 orbs, I put L3 and X in the second controller, it gives me more than 600 orbs, but it does not give me the trophies; Does anyone know why? or you have to do the glitch until you get the 600 orbs
What if you haven’t touched the game in months and you stopped at the 300 orb trophy. Can you still get the 600 orbs needed? Or do you need to start a new save file?
This has since been patched for the PS4 version but you can still do the orb glitch by flying above the orb in debug mode, waiting about a second after the clock ticks zero and then drop onto the orb by pressing X. If you do it correctly, you'll get the mission failed screen but you'll collect the orb when you fall onto it. Then just repeat 100 times until you get to 300 orbs and then you can use the 2nd controller to get the additional 300 like it is described in this video.
Can be tricky to line yourself up on the orb and it's easy to accidentally collect it when trying to so I found the best one to do this on in this same section is the one where the orb as at the end of an overhang from a building. Where the orb is, there are bullet holes in the wall on the building. You can line yourself up with the 2 bullet holes directly above the orb, fly up until Jak's head is about even with the roof of the building and then fall directly down a second after the clock ticks zero and you'll land on the orb every time without having to get too close to it and potentially accidentally collecting it.
It's not patched for the ps4 I just did it
@@icewallowseamen3428 Yes it is. You must not have the newest patch installed. That's the only way the method in the video would still work. Only the very end where you have to collect the orbs is patched. Everything prior to that still works even with the newest patch installed.

I realised that if you hover over the orb and drop onto it after the timer runs out you'll get the three orbs!! Doing this takes time, but I'm the happy owner of a Jak III platinum now!!

@@-chase- Uh, yes you can most certainly use 2 at a time. And @Nog Switch, you use the 2nd controller after collecting 125 metal heads and then again after collecting 300 orbs as it doubles your count and gives you the remaining collectible trophies without actually having to collect them.
I get 1000 orbs and no trophy when I press L3 and x on the second controller.
So the ps4 version in Jak 3 got patched recently you cant do that thing with dark jak anymore, is there any other options trough debug menu to get the orb trophies ???

I follewed the tutorial exactly and I pushed with the sec Controller L3+X and I get 1000 metalskull Heads and 1000 orbs But the last 3 trophies are not available anymore. I tried to do the 250 by myself but nothing happend:( if someone has a clue pls let me know :)

@@johnferredino5111 PS3 version works like Jak 2, L3 and X on second controller, trust me that's how it worked on mine, but its not working on the PS4 version.
Does the 300 orbs only have to be in those 2 spots? Cuz i messed them both up but found a 3rd near the beach and i did it 110x and nothing

After patch 1.02 there is still an easy way to do the orb glitch with a slightly different approach. You need to let go of L2 right before you press the menu button and you should hear the sound of collecting 3 orbs to know you've done it correctly. Then SAVE GAME, instead of restarting mission you need to LOAD GAME you previously just saved and you should be able to repeat over and over.

@@Allangronkjaer do everything the same as in this video EXCEPT you need to release L2 button and press the menu button, very fast. DO NOT restart mission but instead save the game and then load it back up and the challenge should restart and you should have collected 3 orbs. When you press the menu you should see that you actually collected the gold orb and you will hear the sound of the 3 orbs collected (but not always if you're very fast, in which case you can see in the secrets menu if you've collected the orbs).
Basically you have to be quick enough to collect the orb by morphing into dark Jak and opening the menu so that you can save and then load to restart the challenge while still collecting the gold orb. If too slow opening the menu and you complete the challenge by accident just load the last successful save.
Any chance you could make a video guide. I can't work out the timing from text alone.

UchihaSaslta be sure you gained some little power ups to use the dark jak mode only L2 will not work.... I guess thats your problem

how does this work for vita??? where is the l3??? and how can you log into a second account to activate some of the trophies???
How does the orb count double? Can you use three controllers to triple the orbs (or is it doubled twice?)? Or can you try multiple times with multiple accounts to double it multiple times?
I logged out, then logged back in with the second, and was able to do it again.
Orbs doesn’t count as collected when I hold L2 and click start, then restart.

and when you are doing the collecting orbs glitch after you press yes on the restart thing RELEASE the L2 button then it will collect the orb and of the orb disapeard then it worked

For all those this not working on ps5:
After you start the challange,fly a little bit and restart the challange,then go for the orbs and take them.Right after you press x chellenge will be restart,and you get extra orbs.

Getting the 300 orbs just fly to the location and hover above orb, when timer goes to 0 and disappears press X to fall onto orb, press X to do challenge again, repeat 100 x's to get the 300 Precursor trophy 👍

i'm done with it, everytime i try the glitch to get the orbs and lay him down next to it he just picks it up anyway and i have to restart the level, can't get anywhere with it and there is no other way to get those stupid orbs so i'm going to leave it, wish the last two trophies auto popped like the ps3 version. 🤬🤬🤬
