"Let's see what this is going to be. It HAS to be vulture, I think. ...Tank...? Really...? Huh... So, if you're gonna go tank - speed? Double addon?! Uh.... Uhhhh... Okay, so..."
It's a risky strategy many pro gamers talk about in a best of (X). The idea being you win, youre up 1-0 and set the tempo, but it's also possible to lose and then the opponent sets the tempo. Iloveoov talked about this during a match with julyzerg. Julyzerg spent ages coming up with the perfect strat then iloveoov rushes him with a generic Terran scv marine rush iirc but If not that some Terran rush. Julyzerg then got all tilted and lost the series.
Now that should the sunken on the ramp died or was not there or was not blocking vultures... Scan would win easily. Second game was harder to justify. Maybe scan thought zealot would do econ rush, but that is just not his style
I wouldn't call deleting those larva at the beginning "showing off." Larva pop out at random places, so if you delete the larva on the far side of your hatchery, you have a chance for more larva to spawn on the other side, where the zerglings will arrive in the enemy base like a second sooner.
No idea why scan is trying insane cheeses here. He’s playing to zelots strength. Terran cheeses don’t work unless opponents are super greedy and that’s not zelots style
You know people might wanna come back and catch a few hints from the thumbnail and not be at a total loss of pointers as to what they are searching for...
This was great, i loved having more than one game since they weren’t long. Please don’t skip the beginnings after the initial game! I want to see the whole game. I learn a lot about build timings of specific maps by watching pros play in these matches. I can only watch CNSL by watching you cast these games, please dont cut those parts out. If other people want to skip ahead they can always do so, but i cant skip back if you dont include it!
Watching these games after watching Artosis play terran makes me think terran players today don't know there is a super flyer called wraith that can cloak...
I don't mind the cheese attempt in principle, but Scan often didn't fight with his marines in a unified frontline and didn't even try to bust the natural -- just sat there and waited for his opponent to use their economic advantage. Unfortunate.
that first game looked like normal games around my rank ... 4 pool (and the unicorn 5pool) Into some improvised macro game where your opponents is just as confused as you are and it is just one improvisation game on 2 base max with a warcraft 3 economy :D
Scan is way better and smarter than that Game 3 would indicate, idk why he didn't just mass marines and steam roll zelots base, either he was trying to clown on him or wasn't thinking straight.
Arty's observation may have been right: Scan could be so used to playing against the best strategies that Zelot going for an inferior opening threw him off
Wow, Broodwar is actually more fun to watch than Starcraft 2. I have to find the right channels for it. But Artosis does solid casting, nothing that annoys me about it at all.
4 pool is used at the pro level sometimes. normally vs terrans on maps where they wall in their natural expansion, as the timing it gets there gives a decent chance of winning immediately.
Random thought, but what about pairing a ling with your muta ball to draw fire as you move your mutas in and out? Does that not work? Is it too expensive or something?
I also used to wonder why pro zergs didn't swap out mutas the way zelot is doing today in 2023, haha. I had the idea of a muta recovery area way back, the idea of changing them into guardians is cool as well. I love this meta.
@@Stranzua They're pretty bad against mutas. Mutas are classified as small so they only take half damage from turrets. Arty even said if brood war got a balance patch the turret should get changes to be better against mutas.
Looking for something to watch while i drink my coffee. BOOM! New video published 14 seconds ago. Thanks Arty
lol I do the same thing with my morning coffee lol
This was so intense and so fun! Thank you Arty!
Just want to say thanks for keeping the normal player colors - I love the color diversity we get in your casts
Yeah i’m so sick from seeing red vs blue (BSL) or teal vs red (90% of broodwar streamers)
Never seen Artosis blanked like in 6:30 😂
Realy a great series! Can't wait for the last cast 😍😍
Wasn't just a blank, he fucking blue screened.
"Let's see what this is going to be. It HAS to be vulture, I think. ...Tank...? Really...? Huh... So, if you're gonna go tank - speed? Double addon?! Uh.... Uhhhh... Okay, so..."
He was too sad to be angry
Scan going all-in on that first game and I have no idea why. I feel like he's the better player and just needs to play games out to win them.
Yeah, he completely blew that 1st game.

It's amazing how much more positive Artie is when casting compared to when he's playing.

Zealot showing some killer instinct again, Scan almost took game 1 back though, these two are so good! Great casting again Artosis thx man.

Came in a little late on the second game. Always enjoy seeing a worker leave the base and then follow where it's going.
Scan needs a minute to compose himself by reciting the Minimalist Mario Litany a few times
That swift execution, Zelot!!! Zerg still blows my mind in 2023!
Watching this the second time.
Always curious about this match up and so glad it finally happened. What a treat
Let’s go Arty! Great matches and casting as always.
Exciting games. I'm glad this turned into a competitive series. I wonder if Scan regrets the decisions he made in these games.
man that last one just so unfair . another banger thanks for the daily SC
Letsss goo. Cheering for Zelot! Thx for the uploads!
Loving this series! Just a small feedback, I feel like the title is a bit of a spoiler of who wins.
You know people might wanna come back and catch a few hints from the thumbnail and not be at a total loss of pointers as to what they are searching for...
@@MeteCanKarahasan There are ways to convey information like that without spoilers...

I wanna see Artosis and CholeraSC commentary duo in the future.
This format is top tier. Is this the new meta?

This series is so legit.
I like how ZeLoT is bringing Scan down to his level the last 2 games and beating him up.
2 Titans of industry. Loving the match-up.
If ZeLoT manages to beat the mighty Scan he will have new fan in me.
Great cast, thank you Arthritis
What a great series so far
Epic! Thanks Arty!
What a great game on #3 he failed the 4 pool but still made a great comeback
Game 1: what am I watching
Game 2: what the fuck am I watching
Smart move by Zelot seeing Scan's forward rax in game 3 and going 11 pool in game 4
Please bring back full games from the beginning!
I hope that throw in game one doesn't end up hurting him in the long run.
6:30 Scan is so high level he short circuited arty’s brain 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🥶🥶🥶🥶🥶🤣🤣
Maybe the players got nervous knowing they'd be in another cast video 🤣
I love that first game so much xD
What a series!
Incredible!
Can medics run out of energy like other casters?
Watching these games after watching Artosis play terran makes me think terran players today don't know there is a super flyer called wraith that can cloak...
Any thoughts on why Scan went purely one base? Even after his first wave didn't kill, wouldn't it be good to get another CC up?
kind of late no?
The title gave the result away unfortunately, but the cast was nice as always.
I wonder why Ion Thrusters take longer to research than Spider Mines or Siege Tech.
Nice matches
weird games lol. did scan smoke crack before playing this?
zelot is dragging him down into the mud and beating him with experience
Scan become 43% weaker if he doesn't play as red
cool series
Scan got a little too cute in Game 1 after beating back the 4-pool… gave Zelot too much time to recover. 😯

The throw in game 1 from Scan wtf?
ZeLot too good for scan!
He is flexing all those zerg units, not a single wasted effort. What an insane surgical strike.
This zerg reminds me of jaedong
Kind of a weird second game. I think if Scan just plays normally he wins every time.
I prefer to have the full games from the start even if nothing happens in the first part haha. Not sure why. Maybe it builds tension
Yikes. Scan not looking too good these 2 games.
yeah he played terribly. it's almost like he let me play those two games fr
I dont think ive ever seen a 4pool ina pro game. I thought that was lower level only. Could a 4 pool b good becuz of that? Anyone main zerg and know?
4 pool is used at the pro level sometimes. normally vs terrans on maps where they wall in their natural expansion, as the timing it gets there gives a decent chance of winning immediately.
Julyzerg used to try stuff like that when he was out of form.
@@ArtosisCasts thanks art
Overlord migration :))))
man, it's kind of frustrating watching scan play this. First game all in for no good reason, 2nd game all build in but does not even attack.
he didn't gg at the second game

Why don’t pro players know that valks with upgraded armor are impossible to kill if you are Zerg
Lmaoooooooo

or even a group of lings you move in and out before/during the mutas going in and out and firing on the marines.
well I mean lings can't fly, and also how much can they even tank? Squishiest units in the game.

Scan…
Seriously?
Not much of a fan of one base terran play, seems like it works very rarely.
So sloppy on Scan's part....
4 pool disgusting cheese not worthy of a champion but rather a desperate play from a mediocre player who was clearly out played in the first two games
OMG ARTY I LOVE U HAVE MY BABIES PLS
