Elvis always surprises you. He's the ultimate performer. Reactions are getting better and better. The note in his belt he got during Sweet Caroline, you can see him slip in his belt during the song.

Women were always passing notes to him from the front of the stage, lol. It just shows you how comfortable on that stage he was.
Another mind-blowing entertaining one from this exact same show, live in Vegas 1970, is suspicious minds. It's from the same show and that is the version that is fantastic to react to.

Everywhere he was he was so attacked by women, the note was from a woman backstage that stuck the note in his belt he just discovered it on stage. See Elvis interview, in the vid, "Elvis Presley Post Army Interview" 1960, Graceland, when he was drafted into the Army, and was shipped to Germany he was shocked to see the hundreds of German women who were waiting at the Dock when he got off the. they couldn't even speak English but they were there to greet him. No human man in the world has ever affect women like Elvis. That would also mean me. thanks for this great reaction.😍

During an earlier performance, someone in the audience slipped a note into his belt.
You see him looking confused as someone in the audience is gesturing to his belt.
At first, he doesn't understand and he looks behind him, thinking they are pointing at something behind him.
Then you see him look down, he takes the note from his belt, holds it up, nods his head and puts it back into his belt.
Clearly he forgot about it and during this performance, he's adjusting his belt and accidentally pulls the note out, so he just stops to read it, then hands it to Charlie. So, it's a note from an audience member.

"Polk Salad Annie" is a 1968 song written and performed by Tony Joe White. Its lyrics describe the lifestyle of a poor rural Southern girl and her family. Traditionally, the term to describe the type of food highlighted in the song is polk or poke salad, a cooked greens dish made from pokeweed.

Polk Salad (polk sallit to Southerners) is a green which grows wild and can be poisonous if not cooked correctly. I am a Southerner who grows it and eats it. This was a big hit by Tony Joe White in 1968. Elvis obviously like it, & did it live. Elvis never recorded it. You should react to the version by Tony Joe White. It’s great, and you will more fully understand the song, by hearing the studio version.

Oh, and you probably already know, but do not trust those subtitles at all, they are highly inaccurate.
I busted out laughing at one of them, when Elvis is singing "her Daddy was lazy and no-count" and the subtitle said "her daddy is Elysium" lol lol lol.
I mean, Elysium was a great lower budget movie I thought, science fiction from a while back. But of course it has absolutely nothing to do with these lyrics that are being sung, laugh

ELVIS got death threats constantly, I think this could have been one! By the way, I am from New Albany, Mississippi...which is about 25 miles from where he was born! He was, is, and always will be the KING of ROCK and ROLL! Also, a chain gang were men from the Penituary, who worked on the side of the roads and railroad, cutting down grass and picking up garbage! They were used in ALL of the States in the U.S.A. from the turn of the 20th Century until around 1980! ELVIS was and still is the best entertainer who ever lived! He is the GOAT!

Actually, the girl who gave him the note was a spiritualist who had information for him. That's why he bothered to read it and why it took so long. Elvis was into studying various religions, although he was an affirmed Christian. He loved to read and this young woman had written a book. She ended up giving him a copy. So, the note disclosed some spiritual things he'd been focusing on. That's why he got that funny look on his face because it surprised him that he received a note containing information nobody could have known.

5:44 Elvis is reading the lyrics that he has to sing. The guy had so much confidence on stage that he didn't even care about the fact that he was terrible at memorizing things, including the lyrics of the songs he would perform on that stage. So he always had some glue, and the whole team was already prepared for that. So much so that he hands the note to the guitarist and he takes it with the utmost naturalness.
