Hello from England Elvis died 2 days before my 12th birthday. I have been a FAN for 44 years. Where have they gone. Elvis was AND STILL IS my HERO. A strong word to use but its TRUE. I remember watching the funeral on TV and back then we only had the BBC and ITV. What sticks out for me on that day is seeing all those White Cadillac's behind the hearse. There must have been around 18 of them OH MY. All the songs ELVIS performed are my FAVOURITES and there are so many but this one is "up there". Many people around the world have their own TAKE as to What was it ABOUT ELVIS This is my own TAKE. ELVIS WAS SO DIFFERENT. Even as a kid he would have his own such different "style" and his clothes were so unusual. He got bullied for this at school but the other kids were jealous. HE SANG LIKE NO BODY ELSE - A BEAUTIFUL VOICE. HE HAD STAGE PRESENCE LIKE NO OTHER HE HAD AN "AURA" ABOUT HIM THE ENTERTAINMENT VALUE WAS OFF THE RICHTER SCALE HE HAD SWAG ON STAGE IF HE JUST MOVED HIS ONE LEG OR THE 2 JUST A LITTLE OR MOVED HIS HIPS JUST A LITTLE THE WOMEN WENT WILD HE HAD THAT WIGGLE AND THE JIGGLE THAT LITTLE NOTE HE READ was probably from some WOMAN. I pity those in the audience who had to go to the BATHROOM
Please keep playing Elvis! Each time we see him & listen to him ,he seems to be more exciting! His inimitable voice & talent goes on forever! The world would be a better place if everyone would get a chance to hear a little Elvis every day! All his music is great ! His gospel music is unsurpassed ! I know it always makes my day ! Good to see that you are a kindred spirit!
I didnt get deep into Elvis until the 2000’s when i started downloading his albums . The man was the consummate singer entertainer. His best album for me is Elvis is Back . Top to bottom an amazing album.
I knew I liked you. Just discovered your channel. i grew up listening to Elvis. I am lucky enough to have visited his home many many times. If you ever get to the USA, I highly recommend going there.
Aaaahhhh!!!!! ELVIS!!!!!!!! I have been a fan since I actually introduced to music in the very early 70’s. My daddy brought me a door length poster of his Hawaii concert. I was 7 years old when he passed away. I was such a sad little girl for so long. I still receive Elvis gifts. Probably my most loved thing I have is a hound dog dressed in a pink jumpsuit with a HUGE belt buckle that has TCB lightning bolt on it. My daddy got him for me bc he sings my favorite Elvis song, “Are You Lonesome Tonight?”
Love the king you’re absolutely right I don’t think he does bad music.Even to pick a favorite it’s very hard to do I think if I can dream is a good one also suspicious minds in Vegas you can tell how much she owns the stage plays with sweet inspirations and the crowd and the band he just owns it
My wife and I have loved Elvis too for decades.Thank you for Polk Salad Annie...never tire of watching him.Would you please play the Las Vegas 1970 video of Suspicious Minds, also the duet videos with his daughter Lisa Marie ? thank you...
I love Elvis. He is king for all time! It's a concert in Las Vegas, right? Reaction to the song Love me tender, please. At this concert, he kissed 29 women:))) Thank you, you gave me a real pleasure!
Definitely react to more Elvis. Someone has already suggested ‘Such A Night’ also ‘New Orleans’ from the film King Creole - ‘From A Jack To A King’ - ‘The Fair’s Moving On’ - ‘It Keeps Right On A Hurting’. So so many to suggest out of the hundreds he recorded!
Just found you mate. Great stuff!! I'd love to see you react to... If you talk in your sleep. By Elvis. Curious to see your reaction. Cheers from Texas, USA ✌
Wow!!! my wife and I have seen this a couple of times now.Just before we watch it she turns the air conditioning on full blast...gets a bag of ice for her head...and fans herself. She knows it's going to get HOT in the room once he starts Polk Salad (lol)
I just came across your channel a few minutes ago. Could you do an Elvis song : "A Stranger In My Own Hometown"? It would be especially good for you to play songs that you have never heard before.
Have you reacted to "Crawfish" from King Creole? Just found it last month...so different, yet so Elvis! His dance is cringing to most men, but women LOVE his moves...sexy!!
There has been a-lot of great music played on Mother Earth, GREAT Musicians, And A-lot of and I mean a-lot of GREAT singers I have been around though most all those years, but vocally they could not do many octaves loud, their range was limited. But choreographically today's music is fun to watch and the beat to heard. BUT as most vocals are limited to average ability or sound the same as one another. As it is force feed music controlled by the establishment. Controlled by money not talent, As they can hide the sound though equipment manipulations Controlled al-so to keep the people busy and not paying attention to the world affairs. So they don't see the slow grinding of entrapment by the ruling class of the elites slowing taking our rights away, YES it go's that deep. Talent was being rubbed out starting as early as the 60's and maybe earlier then that. When it was found out that there was BIG money to be made though control of the music world... As far as king of the music world... Elvis is, PERIOD, As it is already set in stone, and if you would take the time to REALLY listen to Elvis's music {As he did over 700 songs} you would soon find out that he could go many many Octaves, In any line, In any song, Any time that he so desired. UNSEEN TODAY, It is just not done, You would see this fact ! Elvis was- is- and always will be King of it all. As 73 years so far has proven it. He has withstood an an- slot of singers, And I mean some great singers, During his time, And the time after him, That has come and gone, Yes sir, There is a stable of GREAT singers. Then there is Elvis. You can, Fight it, Argue it, Cuss at it, Disagree with it, Be Jealous of it. But every time the dust settles. Elvis is still king. Borrowed talent from God himself as history has proven it 73 YEARS AND COUNTING.... Once in awhile God sends a mes-sager to his people, Elvis was one such mes-sager. Mankind can try to change it and proclaim some-one else if they want, BUT God already said. And that Son. You can not change
Polk sallet is what it’s called in the south but for the song they used salad. The greens you cook like turnip greens or spinach. You put onion in the pot and cook them down! The berries are the super poisonous part of the plant the are a reddish/purple color.
Dude, you need to throw that hat into trash and get you a Gators hat! LMAO! We are huge College Fans here in Florida, and the Noles are our (UF) biggest Rival! My Grandson will be in the starting line up as Pitcher for USF Baseball next next year, gotta shelve my Gators and root for the Bulls!
FYI. Polk is a poisonous weed that you need to pick while it's shoots are young and tender. It needs to be boiled down rinsed and boiled down again. This is the way I was taught to make Polk salad. After it's been boiled you fry it in bacon grease with eggs, salt and pepper. We always ate it with corn bread. It's pretty good. If not cooked right it can make you sick. It's been years since I've fixed it. I live in Tennessee on a small farm and it grows on my property. I no longer bother with picking and cooking it. I don't know anyone my age that knows anything about it. I know because my 80 year old mother likes it. She taught me what it looked like and how to cook it.
lol don't know when the title got mis-spelled sure it wasn't you but polk is actually POKE a type of green native to TN, AR, OK and Texas grew up eating and singing
the song is about pokeweed a staple diet of poor people in the south otherwise know as collared greens its kinda like spinnach or basil a green pepper type of salad lol
