Spot on. The narcisists are never happy, satisfied or grateful. Their greed is their demise.
I was able to go No Contact about 15 years ago. So much peace in my life since then. A malignant narcissist will make their mission in life to destroy your life.
I went NO-CONTACT with both of our narcissistic families (My wife's family actually did me a favor by dumping me after my wife's funeral). Only I and my wife were not infected with this disease. Now, I do not need to worry about weddings, funerals, baptisms, birthdays etc. of the people who never have cared about me. It saves me a lot of time and effort. I am a free man enjoying every day of my life.
This seems to be a regular thing with the separation of families after a separation. It’s normal if there was no genuineness and solid relationships. People are fake a lot. I’ve seen this many times and have experienced the same. Sorry for your loss ! Real people will stay real if they appreciate you!
@@Doodlefisher Thank you for your concern. The grieving is already behind me. My late wife contacted me a few times (four times in sleep). [I became a US citizen on the first anniversary of her passing :)] I am convinced that seeing things from the above, she actually saved me from her family. It completely changed my perspective and liberated me from any problems there.

Thinking about the narcissist is giving them your energy and time. Narcissists are ruling the world and they want your soul. Practice will make the narcissistic attachment be easier to fight off
Never accept a hoover. Never. They are only coming back to destroy. I know this from experience. I got hoovered after 17 years and I learned my lesson twice.
I don't care about any of this. I just want peace, real love, and joy. That is all I need. Every moment is a blessing.

Many people, especially those "afflicted" with Cluster B personality traits, don't realize that happiness comes from *within,* by the thoughts one chooses to have inside his/her head. "Normal" people know they can choose to be as happy and content as they care to be. We all have wonderful memories, but the best moment is the *present* moment, and the Kingdom of Heaven is *within.*
Most people are never happy or content.
This is so true!! These are horribly toxic kinds of "people." They inhumane.
It's especially pernicious to have spent one's formative years in a family with such people.

While you have found your own happiness outside the relationship. Maybe you have found a work, a place to go and explore or doing something which has a meaning for yourself. They will hate it to the core.
So much so, they will start to do abrupt things which are exactly opposite to what you are. And specially they will start meeting new people, cheat on you or even sleep around like crazy.
It's kind of a revenge game where they think, doing these things will give more value and that cheating behind you will make you feel hurt and disgrace. Finally as usual, they do all of these just to reach to the expiry date of the relationship..

Thanks Danielle - very good insights. I was so naive in my relationships with several new bosses. Uggggh. It was maddening to try and co-exist or submit to their supervision. A new covert narcissist boss ruined my eight-year dream job. It is hopeless to try and relate to them. They are dark and twisted. I still probably have PTSD from him. Your insights help a lot of people not be so gullible. Thank you for your labors of love Danielle!!

mmm... you should reframe the conversation to: selfish behaviors and narc tendencies, but not full on npd (only diagnosed by psychiatrists determining if the frontal lobe is being activated normally) or put up a disclaimer for obvious reasons..
