As good as Christian McBride is technically, what makes him so great is how much fun he’s having. His bass lines are fun to listen to because he’s just having fun and jamming. A true legend
I want to send a big thanks to your neighbors for allowing these concerts to keep going. Another great clip from what must be the coolest apartment anywhere. Making my day… again

Why is everyone smiling? I love to watch the body language of drummers. Kyle is both loose and abrupt. Very cool. The dude in the hat: he's having too much fun.

That's right. Christian took every thing from the great Master Ray Brown !
All the kids know that Emmet’s Place has the best swing ;)

Thelonious is smiling. Emmett channels him like few others. And Christian sure digs it.
🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾
Love those little bomblets Emmet throws down a la Thelonious. When I get back from Spain I'm gonna Monk my piano all night long. 😁
I think one person they need to get in on this act is Joan Chamorro. He's got the kind of energy and presence that would suit this place real well.

SICK tenor playing here. Props to this sax guy
My favourite Monk's tune! And you guys are simply fab!
Kyle holding it down serving the music as always
Simply the best!
really enjoying the music....and also the happy face of Mcbride 😄
great music! this was a delight to listen to. I really enjoyed it
Great version' love the feel. Emmet Cohen band always coming up with the goods.
C’est super. Bravo Emmet pour toutes ces programmations. I like the way you create joy and love in the Music
A+Team swingin’ hard!❤️
Thank you very much for this wonderful video, Emmet. Guys you swing!
Geee - yes, band's on fire, and that solo from Marcus is sooo much fun. Thank you!
Killin as always! To the drummers out there: can anybody identify these cymbals Kyle is playing?
Absolutely swinging and compelling!
What a cool band!
Amazing as always! Thanks for uploading!
Christian McBride = Bass Genius
it was so stunning, that they have to show McBride´s name twice at the end
Beautiful!
Yesssssss love
Was really hoping Russell would hop up & walk under McBride's solo (not that he needs it)
It'd just be rad to see
It's good one
9:27 McBride did so well that he appears twice in the end credits... I agree, but I think everyone else also should've come up twice
🤣😂👏👍
ok this is good
Hi, can anybody tell me where is the video in which Emmet plays "Hackensack" by Monk? Thank you

Comme d'habitude, au top du plaisir de jouer et d'écouter... mais de qui la composition?
Mook
extremely imaginative playing on all sides, certainly not least McBride's. Cohen's solo is so good, it is like little Goldberg-variations on Bemsha.
Christian mcbride!
It's impressive to hear Emmet copying Monk so accurately during the head. Happy he stopped afterwards and moved to his own style afterwards.
Is that trumpet half carbon fiber? Does anyone know if that makes a difference for the feel?
DaCarbo
Oh My Lord! How COOL! The drummer must be Monk's great grand son but as far as I remember Monk had a relationship to a white woman.
Christian Mc Bride...Bass
Quirky, like Monk would have played it!
