Why are most post-apocalyptic characters so dumb to understand the potential dangers lurking around them?!?

the last civilized people in the world are dumb and getting ready to die from Raiders / Marauders .
at least this was prevented in 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018 , 2019, 2020... but now its the year 2021 and we are trying to prevent the downfall of civilization now that pandemic is coming.

Plenty of gas, booze, etc. why fight? Law of the oasis. Nothing worth dying over when there is a speck of abundance in a desert of want. Something that bothers me is why are the good 'old boys evil bastards? Seems they would be the ones with family and tight knit communities, yet somehow in the movies they are a bunch of ignorant shit heels and the inner city criminals all have a heart in the end for their "people"? So, a catastrophy unleshes the evil in country/rural people and the good in urbanites? Hope the doc gave those nasty rough necks a decent burial. Nope. The girl wont do anything like hard manual labor and the doc has no shovel, and the dying guy is dying so screw it.
I would have sold her for supplies.

Speaking of pandemics, I find it strange that an African citizen from the Ebola front lines, could hop on a plane and fly into Dallas and infect everyone he met, and no one even said a word to him. After trillions are spent on defense, not even one checkpoint.

Very good. A little heavy on the corny side but the message was certainly clear enough - ALWAYS have access to firearms for personal protection!

Good short film of a possible scenario. Most People are going to be hysterical and not think right when it hits the fan. The short film leaves many unanswered questions, but that's OK since there are many longer & popular movies that leave things unanswered. It does show several times of Our Struggles against Ourselves, Loved Ones, Fellow Humans, Nature and the uncertainty of Dangerous Times. It makes me reflect on what can I do now, what can I learn to reduce the likelihood of becoming a victim.
Remember to wear those mask folks! Big Brother said so!

You must suspend some disbelief. Gasoline does go bad, but maybe they treated the gas with a stabilizer? Gas station owners keep some in stock. Or maybe non-ethanol, which might make it last longer. We also don't have a timeline of events.
@@martinwood2219 True! You have a good eye! That was a FILM camera she had. It wasn't a DSLR. LOL. I'm not sure why she would have a film camera in the post apocalypse unless she had a shack, complete with chemicals and her own darkroom.
People are unpredictable and sometimes incredibly stupid and some as we know just aren't good in an emergency situation. It's fine to show what undoubtedly some people are capable or incapable of. Sometimes people get lucky if only for a while. Damn the humanity of it all!

Half feels like I wasted my lunch break watching this half says it was ok only because of the MUSTANG.
She had to take the picture. They are going to end up dead, she will make sure of that, with her delusional help everyone mentally and the fact, she would put everyone in harms way, like she did herself, by taking that picture, not all infected are going to be on the up and up and the same can be said of the non infected. This is a great example of what not to do, after a apocalyptic event happens.

We never want to lose that.
But...
Depending in the type of contagion involved, exposing oneself to those infected certainly jeopardizes yours and other's safety.
Personally, I don't plan on contracting a highly virulent disease. And so I won't be providing any assistance unless done at a distance.
May sound mean and uncompassionate...
But my safety and the safety of those I love & care for is my primary concern over others.
I'd expect nothing less from strangers.
Plan on getting as far away from people as I can..That would be a good place to stay a lot better then some FEMA camp

At least, this one showed some decency, rather than humans turned into savages without heart or souls. I think I would, immediately rush with no time to lose, out to find gasoline, artillery/bullets, food, medical, water/drink, working truck/van, etc..and a stronghold. Good places to hide all including myself, and where there was a water source, and ideally vegetation. Gather up, as much as possible, before the ruthless vultures started coming around.

Breck and Annie would have done well to learn some survival skills before the pandemic. But like most people, they never thought it could happen. They were lucky James was there. Pretty much no guessing what would have happened to them. Pretty good film.

terrible cliched writing. The wife of course has to be told not to go too close to diseased corpses, of course she has to wander off, she doesn't wear a mask or gloves, she over reacts, the cliche'd cackling bad guys show up right on cue, the fight scene was idiotic complete with "on no's I dropped the gun" and the baddy "hit me here cackle cackle". You put a lot of work into making the film, you need to put more into writing it

These comments are an example of low cost fixs that must be part of your next project because the public won't put up with these flaws. There are plenty of good starving actors and martial arts fight coreographers. The biggest problem with post apocalypse stuff is how pudgy the actors are.

@Syx You are right but pudgy means slightly fat, and taking into account how overweight most people are in the US, it would take more way more than a year to get to slightly fat. LOL According to statistics 75% of men and 60% of women are overweight. It will take us a long time to lose the weight, that's what I meant. If you ever go to a survivalists forum the first thing you will find is the "survivalists" posting: "us men need to consume at least 3,500 calories a day, so we need to store lots of food". Most men in poor nations are lucky if they get 1,200 and they are not dead.The realistic one is the zombie. Me, I'm going on a diet so no one knows I have my stash.

This looks like the same gas station in Robert Plant video "BIG LOG" from the 80's .
Pros: setting/environment, the doctor dilemma, overall plot idea (no major plot holes), sick guy acting was good, good cinematography.
Cons: acting in general, plot execution, scare scenes timing, ending was patchy and irresolute.
Overall 3/10
Even by budget youtube standards, this was pretty bad. Granted its 2014 production so its a bit aged. 7:50 real doctors would wear GOGGLES and mask, or some kind of full face protection. hollywood makes this mistake often too, so no points deducted. I'd like to see a remake! Thanks for making a free movie!
