"Dark Rooms" is a post-apocalyptic love story shot in Manchester and the Peak District in the summer of 2019 (before the pandemic, haha).
Tom and Emily are survivors of a viral pandemic that swept the globe, gifted with immunity. They haven't encountered anyone else in a long, long time. Emily is struggling to find a reason to keep going. Tom isn't ready to give up just yet. Together, they set out on a journey into the city of Manchester, England, looking for supplies - and perhaps a hope for the future.

Not very optimistic BUT !!! The only one with no killing, no gas masks, no zombie, no open wound ,breathable air, water ,plenty of greenery.....well not many beans....
The beans survive everytime!!
You need to do more than survive, you need to live. Very well done. 👏
14:56 i would sign for being in that situation. So sick of humanity
I loved it. Very in depth and gripping of how you two portrayed what life would be like after a plague of possibly Biblical proportions. The emptiness, the starting over. There would still be life out there, just on a smaller scale. I loved the scenery too, such beautiful place to live. Would like to see another, perhaps a part two. Peace from California
Wow. Nicely done for a change. The absence of army surplus gas masks, perfect hair cuts and savage a-holes was a delightful change. Manchester's own Martin Zero named in the credits was a treat as well.
OH MY G**! They're not wearing gloves with the fingers cut off!
I've seen some hundred post apocalyptic films believe me guys this is the best. I hope there will be another part coz it's so beautiful. Good luck from Morocco.
Very nicely done. Bitter sweet but hopeful.
I like it because (1) It's different (2) Scenery is filmed stunningly (3) Expletives are not the answer.
I found it inconceivable that they did not furnish some kind of weapon, until I realized it means that there really are no people.
Timing may be a bit off, there is no way the corpses could look like that after any explicable time-scale. But maybe there are enough movies with realistic corpses out there.
Great job....Peace
Very nicely done!
Very unique! No one dies, no one eats other people's brain, everything is actually very casual
Love the music.
Great visuals, cinematography and production design, lacks a compelling goal that can deliver essential context and make it a compelling story. They achieve their goal with little effort needed. Had there of been a compelling goal with strong opposition I'd of organically learnt a lot more about the characters, why doing what they're doing means so much on a practical and emotional level. Shame, such a lovely looking film.
WATCH THE GRASS GROW
Oof sorry you're slow
🤗😍😘
Nice change.
Excellent work.
Really enjoyed this. Different type of take on a pandemic. OK, I could pick up on a few things. However, hindsight is a wonderful beast and I am by know means a film director. Well done. Don't you just love peaceful Sunday mornings for filming 🤔😎
Very nice work!!
Sound is awful
Well done
Community is important. Can also be dangerous.
Thank you

We don’t need any more post apocalyptic films. That genre has been done to death. Do something original
Yeah, we need more trite superhero movies. When civilizations run out of ideas, they simply collapse. We have run out of out of ideas.
You are correct, @@tardisflanagan5536 . The collapse is called an apocalypse though. So back to square one, this may end up to be the only genre one day.
plot? conflict? character development? action? I wasted 19 precious minutes of my life...
At bare minimum I spent at least 50,000 minutes of my life working on this so I wasted more 😃
@@shortfilmsbycholtappel Excellent work. Loved it.
Igor seems to have misunderstood what the very last scenes represented. 2 different time periods.
Thank you very much.
Well, maybe life would be boring after the apocalypse.
Not even a swarm of mosquitos they need swat at.
Before i watch this im gunna go ahead and guess its going to be a "woke" short
Thanks for sharing everything you can’t grasp or understand must be “woke”.
Can you define "woke" for me? It it in the room with us, now? I'll wait. Idiotic comment is idiotic.
@DrachenMeister666 you are butt hurt i can tell.
You know dam well what i ment
When you are reduced to showing a dead mother and her dead child to elicit some emotion in the audience, it means you really have nothing to say.
Look lady I'm sorry your baby obviously is dead , sorry about that. That being said you're way off base and you'll probably be waaaaay off for a while.
It was also a small scene. Get over yourself crazy
Well done. Thanks.
