    Well, now we know how the "lovers" died as well. The food poisoning didn't happen by chance. He wanted the girl and was probably targeting the guy, but she ate the tainted food instead. With the girl dead, either her lover didn't want to be without her and pulled the Romeo ending or Joshua finished him off as well to take whatever supplies were left. He's no dummy if he's a trained pianist. He's crazy or stupid like a fox. He put the rat in the water in an attempt to manipulate Alexander back to where he (Joshua) wanted to go. This guy is not someone to trifle with. He (Joshua) wanted to travel with Alexander, because it was obvious that Alexander was an "Alpha" male, which Joshua was not. Joshua wanted someone to protect him so that he could get sleep and be provided for, but the moment it looked as though he would have the upper hand he would compromise you. Go back if need be and watch his tactics. Everything he does puts Alexander out in front to take the brunt if something happens. People like that will only get you killed if you don't curb their used car salesman mentality. You're either better off alone or you begin operant conditioning and get the weasel to change it's behavior. If you don't, you'll be traveling with a snake and you won't know just when he'll strike. You've gotta sleep sometime...

    WOW! I almost turned it off. Another dystopia future flick, post plague(har Har so original thought I. Then the towering WTF IS THAT BEHIND ME!?!? showed up. Now the best part and my God yall did it perfect. Right up until Josh comes screaming out of the dark, you thought hmm is Alex crazy? (Aug 27 Monday, makes him sound a bit off) it's all I his head the monster is just schizophrenia brought on by being alone for so long. Especially since despite saying he doesn't wanna be around anyone yet he keeps going back to save Josh. He'll even when we see the out of work nazgul show up. Your still going naaah how could nobody have heard of this thing? Then we get to see not only is it very real but it's huge and awesomely powerful. It's also apparently the source of the "infection " it apparently doesn't tear you up but gives you the whatever. All in all I really hope this picks up. Right at the end I realized this isn't about being chased by a monster. It's about man vs madness and at what point do stop being a man and become the monster. What does being alone do to you? And is the true monster the thing chasing you or you? What will you do to survive? The tension was palpable and yet not contrived. We've only seen the beast kill one thing a cat(and maybe the other animals) 1 claimed to have seen it kill. It's purpose seems to be wiping out everything, not eating or surviving. Last why the he'll is it radioactive?
    Oh and "can it power my phone?"
    My man looks at him like "really? Checking Facebook ?"

    I liked pretty much everything about this film but Joshua's character development. There's no rational way he could have avoided death long before this even given his backstory of hiding out in a stocked building. After that ended he had been months without human contact (his words) so I'm supposed to believe he transformed into a mountain man eating maggots to survive like Alexander? And the rat thing? He's just too stupid to be believable. If they had made him a bit more hardened and pragmatic from those months of solo survival it would have aligned better with the post apocalyptic setting. If he had recently popped out of a isolated bunker/redoubt/basement then his character would have fit.

      Joshua was lying. He was incapable of surviving solo, and he hadn't been surviving solo for long because in the beginning the box he's struggling with is the last of the supplies from the shelter. He caught a rat, tried to poison the "alpha male" to take his "woman," and, instead, poisoned her by mistake. Then, to secure all of the supplies for himself, he poisoned the "alpha male" as well. At least that's what I got from it.

  • @richardhenry1969
    @richardhenry1969 3 роки тому +1

    Here is the question is having after everything you know can the young guy ever be trusted.
    Is company really worth all that or is it better to be alone. I have seen these leeches my whole life. They never take a stand hide behind everyone an everything. They only think of themselves. Drugs brings that out you see what someone will do for a high. Now imagine if it was life or death. I like to try to see good in everyone but its hard in the city. Really Baltimore isn't a stretch from this dystopia. Only thing missing is the rulers that would still have everything.

    I have no minor points of criticism, I have no ideas for other options I saw along the way - even ones which wouldn't have been much of an improvement.
    This was better done, in every respect, than movies with hundreds of million dollar budgets and big, impressive sounding producers, directors and actors.
